Good burgers, good fries, good place to stop in if you’re in the area and don’t feel like«fast-food»(which we never do) but want a quick bite and a small check.

They have a very basic menu of burgers, fries, and milkshakes, all of which taste absolutely amazing. The portions are a good size too. If you decide to stop by and the line is long, don’t leave! You’ll be glad you waited.

This is a great restaurant! I only gave it four stars because the food is not consistent… it has never been awful, however, some days it is over seasoned or bland, and the milkshakes seem to very from delicious to just too watery/rich. The fries are always great! If you’re not too picky and in the mood for a good burger, this place is definitely worth a try!

Great burger joint. Burger was Top 10 I’ve ever had. French fries were OK, and vanilla milkshake was awesome. I got to the table, and it was kinda sticky, but great service otherwise. Parking was fine, and the cashier had a smile on her face.

This is a darling little restaurant. Fresh flowers in mason jars on the tables. Very clean and very organized. Lots of staff and almost no wait.(We were there a little before dinner rush) The burger was DELICIOUS. Lots of garlic on the first bite, which for me is fantastic, but might not be the same for you. I loved the crispy little edges from the way the burger is cooked. The sauce is tangy and interesting in a very good way. There is a large variety of sauces available, including malt vinegar for the hand cut fries, which I actually enjoyed more than 5 guys. Concerning the price… I don’t think it was any more expensive than similar burger restaurants, especially considering it is all Angus beef. In fact, I over-ate because it was so good and I almost never do that. We noticed lots of people coming in for to-go orders and I never see that in sit-down burger places… so lots of people seem to be picking up orders for their families, which is a pretty good sign that the food is good. If it were closer to where I live in Cordova, it would be dangerous and I would be broke, strung out in a burger and fry food coma.

Awesome burgers, great fries, best sauce, and delicious milkshakes. The all in one store for your burger cravings! Owner is great, personally knows me. I will always call this one of the greatest burgers I have had, and make sure to grab some sear sauce!

I really LIKE thin burger patties, and they do them nicely here. The rest of the experience is just average. Overpriced by quite a bit. The fries were okay, but mostly short bits and pieces. Here’s a major annoyance: they don’t put on mustard, mayo, or ketchup.(They do put on their own house sauce, but my experience with that sort of thing has generally been meh — so I didn’t try it here. Maybe I’ve missed out on something, but I’d doubt that). They note on their menu board that they have condiments at the table around the corner, which they did. But, the problem was they were mustard packets and mayonnaise packets and two big(but poorly working — I HATE that) ketchup pumps. It is SO annoying to have to unwrap, deconstruct a burger, peel open packets, and squirt condiments… Especially at those prices. I feel like I am being generous with three stars here.

I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious my burger actually was! It’s a simple joint. There aren’t a lot of choices or options. But they got the burgers pretty right. They are seasoned so nicely, though mine might have been just on the side of too salty. The homemade buns and pickles are a really nice touch, and well made. The food is fresh. The fries are handmade, but they lacked the crispness that I really enjoy in fries. It’s clean. It’s modern. It is perhaps a touch more than I’d like to pay, but it isn’t unreasonable for good burgers and fries. I’ll skip the $ 616−20oz. shakes though.

This place has grown on me. Good burgers. Good fries. Good milkshakes. I recommend it. It is a bit on the pricey side though for a burger. I like the jars of pickles by the ketchup. I like that they don’t have stingy condiment dispensers. The service is quick too.

Wow. First off, let me start by saying, while I love 5 Guys, this is quickly becoming my new favorite place for a burger in Collierville. Let me start with the bun. First it is made specifically for Sear Shack. It is light and airy, and not heavy. It is perfectly sized to fit the burger served, which to me is very important. I cannot stand where the meat exceeds the size of the or vice versa. The bun: burger ratio is perfect! The meat: they say it is Angus, and honestly, I can taste the difference between them and 5 guys. This is no Huey’s or Red Robin, so don’t think you are getting a thick patty. The sear sauce is delicious! Like many other places, it is similar to a thousand island, but it is very good. The location is clean and the employees are friendly. The burgers are unpretentious and they keep it simple.

Man this is my new spot. The angus burgers are so well done here. I got the bacon cheeseburger with fries. The fries are thin and really good. The entire meal(burger & fries) was under $ 10. The wait was short and they have a huge condiment bar by the drink station. I ordered to go but I’d sit here in the future.

Discovered this place through a Unilocal email about burgers. My family and I went and it was really good. We went on a Saturday during lunch. The line was long but I must say they were really fast about getting customers through the line. This is strictly a burger and fries place. The burgers were actually well seasoned!!! Most burgers from other places are bland. These were seasoned and very fresh! Sweet tea was awesome too! I had a regular burger my husband had bacon cheeseburger and my son had a cheeseburger and everyone was very satisfied. Oh yea and the fries were bomb! I think they’re fresh cut. I normally hate soft fries but these were awesome!!!

It appears The Sear Shack has weathered the shock and awe of opening a new business and being well received by the community. I have subsequently visited 3 more times, and the quality of the food has returned to what I experienced on their opening weekend. Very good Burger with Fries with various condiments to customize to your personal liking.

This burger is pretty good. I most admit I didn’t think it would be any good. It was really seasoned well. The handout fries were good as well. Great little lunch spot. I will be back again. Cons: Just a tad bit pricey. I had the bacon cheese burger, fries and drink. All that for $ 12

This place is underwhelming but charging prices that you would expect amazballs food. example: $ 6 for a milk shake? When I asked what was in them. why so pricey, the kid working the counter said because they were a pain in the a** to make and nothing special. :/oh… mmm k at least he is honest.
Ok look I will start with the good… They have great bread for a hamburger joint. It is artisan buns that are good. They could stand to be thrown on a hot grill for a minute but otherwise good. The fries were just OK. I have had better. especially for the price vs size. Heck, Back yard burgers are better. Ingredients were fresh and the lettuce didn’t taste like onion and tomatoes didn’t taste like pickles which tells me they do a good job of not cross contaminating ingredients, which is an issue at many joints. But…the most important part of a burger is what? THEMEAT! These patties start as a ball all looked to be pre sized. They get thrown on a griddle and SMASHED completely utterly as flat and they can be smashed… ummm what? And they only serve them well done.(again WHAT?!) Not that you can get it any other way, due to it being so thin. Yea. You don’t treat a ball of ground angus beef that way! What the… annnnyyyything more than medium is just meat abuse. I have read countless reviews about how juicy and big they are. well they are large… I guess? if compared to a small frisbee but they are flat! To me a big burger is like 1 inch thick(at least) and juicy= juice running out of it. This was not it. The meat to bread ratio is not on point unless you perhaps get 2 patties. …did I mention these patties are like lunch meat flat? Now perhaps others are comparing these to McD or Wendy’s but I know real«big» and I know«juicy» hamburgers and these are not it. sigh… moving on… While we were there the owner zoomed up to the door in his Porsche and ran something in from a store yelling across the store to his 5 teen employees behind the counter«almost forgot we were out of these» and then jumped back in his car, revved the engine and took off like a bat out of hell through this strip center parking lot… not impressed with that either. Especially considering some Ahole hit us in this parking lot doing the exact same immature driving at high speed through there 4 yrs ago. These kids behind the counter were clueless when you asked them much of anything and like«whatever» about everything in general. They were however, very polite and nice. I just think it is pretty sad that with it being a new business this owner is not in his store or at least acknowledging guest when he did make an appearance. Take Ciao Baby across the street, the owner is ALWAYS there making sure it runs smoothly and correctly. Or Sky Box… or most other local owned places– owner being there equals better business. As for the interior… it was nice for what it is. Nice wood tables, benches and semi comfortable metal chairs. It was very clean. But it was also pretty empty. It is a shame their prices are higher than the worth of these burgers. This would be a great hang out spot for teens otherwise, I am sure. As for my family, we will make the drive to Five Guys if we want a burger on this level because they have more variety of meals and ingredients. There are no mushrooms, grilled onions or much of anything out of the basics here. And you know how I feel about the abused Angus meat… Ps.no kids menu either. no hot dogs or anything but fries and burgers starting at $ 5. I did give them 2 stars because they carry Coke products… something hard to come by in Memphis nowadays with Pepsi taking everything over. ;P I know some people rave about this joint and some will phsh posh my review. but I know good food and this, my friends, is not. Just hit Back Yard burger, if you need a burger on this level… your burger will still be well done, but thicker and fries will be better and you will spend half as much.

Honestly, I was reluctant to try Sear Shack after the mixed reviews. People at work said it was good/great. Then bad reviews online. Then today I checked one more time and Ken K said that his experience on Sunday was good. So, I decided to give it a try. I am SOOO glad I did! The fresh made bun was wonderful. Not a thick, over-powering amount of bread which is good since I have recently been ordering burgers without it. I got the single patty bacon burger with French onions and Sear Sauce. You definitely need to try the Sear Sauce if you go. I also got the fresh cut fries which were good too. I don’t typical salt my food but the fries come without seasoning so you can season as you please. I added a little seasoned salt and they were very tasty. There are several condiments to choose from if you want to add a little extra flavor: Sriracha sauce, Frank’s Hot Sauce, honey mustard, the norms: ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise, vinegar, BBQ sauce, seasoned salt etc. Personally, I thought the Sear Sauce was great by itself. On my next trip, I will have a milk shake for lunch. Hmmmm, I wonder what my lunch partner is doing tomorrow?
