Antonio’s Grandma’s Pizza. The best take-out around. Try it!

Best pizza in Collingswood /Westmont area in my opinion. I had just gone this past Sunday after a red eye from LA. I was exhausted and they were incredibly nice(they let me try a slice of their ‘grandma pizza’ I think it’s called — again, I was tired due to the red eye so that name may be different). Most importantly though, they have the best customer service. I’ve just moved into my own little apartment within the past year and I’ve had different experiences with customer service in Collingswood — some places are very good and others have been horrible. Café Antonio’s employees are so personable… and just all around awesome. This will be my pizza place of choice from here on out. All in all — Café Antonio has by far the best pizza and best customer service in the area.

Grandma pizza is solid. Slices are alright. It’s a local pizzeria, what else do you expect? This isn’t fine dining.

If you are looking for REAL pizza, this is the place. Large, NY/New Haven style foldin’ slices made fresh with fresh ingredients. Great slice selection, from the popular Grandma’s to the White with EVOO, to the Caprese, drizzled with balsamic reduction, you really can’t go wrong on flavor here. I can’t really speak to the other food because I can’t seem to order anything else but pizza, but if it is half as good as their pizza is executed, then you are in for a treat! Do yourself a favor, stop in for a slice, brush up on your Italian from whatever soccer game or Italian news the guys have on, and you’ll never look back!

I’ve been ordering from this place for quite a few years. The past three times I’ve ordered from there they’ve told me the delivery time is at least 40 – 50 minutes(which I guess fool me twice, shame on me), but Friday was the last straw. After my pizza hadn’t arrived after over an hour I called back and informed them I was still waiting. They told me «we are really busy.» Are you? Are you really busy delivering pizzas on a Friday night? That sounds absurd. When my pizza did finally arrive an hour and a half after ordering(it was only a pepperoni pizza. Nothing too spectacular that should have taken that absurdly long). It was cold. Not just a little bit cold, but cold to the point that it probably was made about 10 minutes after my call and sat out until it was delivered. It tasted terrible. So over this place. When I called again to complain they informed me that they were just running busy that night(yet this is the third time it’s taken over 50 minutes to deliver). Never again.

Grandmother’s pizza is a square shaped pizza, almost like a thin crusted version of a Sicilian pizza. It has lot’s of spices on it, giving a bit more flavor than your average pizza. The sauce is not bad, the crust is pretty good as well. Typically, this style of pizza is not what I am thinking of when I have a pizza craving, but it is pretty good. I would order this over Stella’s any day.

Waited 20 mins longer than the 30 – 40 mins we were told. Spent $ 50 between pizza and tip and got smooshed lid cheese that slid off, cold, burnt, tasteless pieces of cardboard. Called to give them the opportunity to correct it and got hung up on. Pains me to say this… I’d eat Dominoes before ever calling café Antonio again.

Grandma pizza is soo good! Salads are huge and they are very easy going on making them to order(I get spinach as the base).

Great pizza. You have to try their Grandma’s Pizza. I’ve also had their paninis, which were awesome. They take a long time to deliver though.

This place is excellent for take out and eat in sandwiches and pizza. It’s kid friendly, so that’s a plus. The grandma’s pizza is the best pizza in the region. Like veggies or meat, ask for your grandma’s pizza with your preferred toppings– they will make it how you want it! A good local place to spend your money!

Go with the classic Grandma. It’s very good pizza… $ 16 for a huge thin sicilian style pizza.

Great little pizzeria! Good service and they make mean grandma and buffalo chicken pizzas. The sandwiches are pretty good too– tried the roasted veggie panini.

My husband and I stopped at revolutionary coffee one day and really wanted to get some good pizza, lo and behold antonio’s was literally around the corner! Ever since, this is our secret go to spot that we never bring anyone else to, it’s our little pizza date place just for the two of us although we always tell to our family members that our favorite pizza comes from collingswood. We always get the same thing, a large plain pizza pie(which for us is actually a lot) sooo good, and we tend to sit by the window usually. We can honestly say that we crave this pizza every day.

It’s expensive and unmemorable. Last week, I put them to the test with my typical Italian hoagie and pizza order. I asked for no tomatoes on the hoagie, so they seemingly overcompensated with a surplus of red onions. The meat was slightly boring, and the pizza wasn’t very good when originally hot. It’s a little better when it’s warmed up the next day. For $ 20, the meal wasn’t worth it to me. I won’t be back, mainly because places like Genova, Amato Bros, Bread Board, and Stella also exist in the vicinity and are much better.

I don’t think I need a long review for this place. It’s pretty standard South Jersey pizza. It tends to be a bit on the greasy side, but I don’t mind as much as others do. Pizza needs some grease. I’d also agree with the other reviewers saying it is kinda pricey, but ehhh, once again, it’s pizza. It’s within walking distance of the house so I will be back.

There is a new owner in the last few months, so don’t bother with older reviews!!! I have not tried anything but their pizzas, but definitely will try the Tuesday pasta special. The specialty pizzas really stand out for me. The«Grandma» features a fresh tasting sauce and a cheese that doesn’t break down with grease. I had the«health salad» slice and it was LOADED with wilted spinach, goat cheese, walnuts, and cranberries on a whole wheat crust. YUM

Two stars because what I ate had me in the bathroom for about an hour right after I finished eating. I actually didn’t feel 100% normal until the next night. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich, something I normally eat anywhere, and it really didn’t agree with me. My boyfriend’s sandwich wasn’t that thrilling, either, and the service was just OK. I will give their pizza a try the next time I am in town. Hopefully a bathroom will be nearby, just in case. TMI? You’re welcome!

A small pizzeria that recently has a new owner. The staff is very friendly. The plain cheese pizza slice didn’t pass my one-hand-pizza-fold test. Most of the cheese just slid off the pizza and onto my paper plate. The slice was also oily.(I had to soak up the oil with my napkin). Don’t get me wrong, I have had some great pizza where they finish it off with a drizzle of olive oil right before serving… but this was meh. I didn’t like the taste of the sauce or the cheese(was actually kind of bland). The ‘Grandma’ pizza was decent. It is a thin crust, square, Sicilian style pizza. It had just came out of the oven… I think it would of been better if it had some time to settle. I almost felt that I had to commit sacrilege and use a knife & fork(though, I wouldn’t dare). I bet this pizza would be good cold, the next morning(or slightly re-heated in a toaster oven or cast iron skillet). I did enjoy the slice of pizza that had whole tomato medallions on it(Roma tomato?) with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar, that was good. Overall, A-OK with the potential for of a return visit. I would like to try some of their sandwiches.

Tuesdays. $ 8.95 for bread, soup or salad and any pasta from their vast selection. That alone is worth some stars, but the deliciousness of my meal backs them up! I joined my former neighbors for an evening of catch-up over dinner. We were all a little buzzy after some pre-dinner cocktails so it was nice that there was no wait for a table. In fact, we were the only people in the restaurant around 7:30. Hasn’t anyone heard of pasta night?! Our server was sweet and took care of us with a smile, even though we all felt a little guilty keeping her there late. We started with some dense bread that came with a big plate of peppers in marinara. Next up was the soup and salad course, and I opted for the salad, which was vibrant with veggies and topped with a very basil-rich tomato vinaigrette. Very nice. For my main I of course chose one of the pastas, the Amatriciana, with pancetta, chopped tomatoes and onions. With shrimp added-on and some marinara on the side(I like it saucy!), the dish was simple but delicious. After a long run earlier that day, it felt good to carbo-load. We had so much fun and with a night out that cost around $ 20 a head(plus our BYO wine), we’ll probably make it a regular occurrence.
