Rootz is everything you could want in a salon. The stylists are skilled, friendly and personable. They really take time to listen to clients, and always make you feel pampered. Jenn has been doing my hair for more than 15 years, and I can’t imagine going to anyone else.

i recently moved to the area — Katie at ROOTZ is fantastic. I’m accustomed to fancy NYC and SF haircuts and I was worried I wouldn’t find anyone to keep my tomboy/​femme ways out in rural CT. but luckily ROOTZ & katie rescued me from temptations to just pull out my own clippers. katie has exceptional attention to detail and is very communicative to ensure you get what you want. I have seen her for both my short girl cut and ombré color and am very happy with both! thanks, katie!

My entire family went in one afternoon and we all got haircuts by Krista. She was THE most capable and proficient stylist I’ve ever met. She was amazing with our 2-​year old son, too. And he looked so handsome after she was finished. For my own cut, I did a daring thing and said, «Cut it as short as possible,» and she did a style I never would have imagined for myself. But I love it! And I will continue to proudly support this local business. Not sure why another hair place opened up across the street in such a tiny town, but do yourself a favor and choose Rootz! Oh, did I mention… the cost for ALL three of our cuts (my husband’s, mine and my son’s) was LESS than a simple trim that I had done in Brooklyn, NY.

I love this place! Jenn is amazing and I love the fact that it’s an organic salon. It’s difficult to find a great salon and so excited to find this place! I love the way Jenn works with me to get exactly what I want:) the hair treatments are amazing and my hair has never been healthier I believe the organic products make a huge difference.

Rootz is, without a doubt, the best salon I’ve ever been to. When I make an appointment to get my hair done at Rootz, I turn it into a tiny little vacation. I love going to Collinsville, grabbing a bite to eat at LaSalle Market, and then heading over to Rootz, right next door. Everyone there is not only professionally very capable, but they are warm and friendly to anyone who comes in. And, the most important thing about any salon… They listen to what you want!
For the type of salon (organic, all natural, highly trained professionals) I feel the prices are very reasonable. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, offering you water, tea, or even a glass of wine. I just can’t say enough about this place.
All of the stylists are great, but Jenn and Dawn are true rock stars!

Love this great Organic salon in the heart of Collinsville! Dawn has been cutting my and my daughters’ hair for a few years now and we are very happy with her! Prices are reasonable and services are top-​notch!
