Nice tavern with a small town and welcoming feel to it. Lots of specials throughout the week. We came on Mexican night. $ 2 Coronas and $ 3 Margaritas were the starters for us. My beer was ice cold with the requisite lime, and my wife and friends enjoyed their margaritas, strong enough to feel it but still tasty to drink. I had the potato bacon soup which had big chunks of potato and was creamy and tasty. Several of us ordered the fajitas. I had steak which was prepared just as I ordered and was tender and flavorful. Our friends had the chicken fajitas and they enjoyed them as well. My wife had the French dip and had asked to sub mushrooms for the onions. They added the shrooms but left the onions on. Easily remedied but a bit of an annoyance. Still a delicious sandwich. Kids meals were typical fare with burgers, chicken tenders and Mac N Cheese for our crew. They all are heartily and without complaint which is the important part of a kids dining experience. :-). Important to note they were also able to easily accommodate out large party of 12. All in all not perfect, but a very enjoyable meal that tasted excellent. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great atmosphere and a place we would definitely come back to. Small town feel with a small town movie theater(Loma Theater) across the street made it part of a perfect rainy evening outing for our vacation.

They really are friendly. And the food is good. I got the Turkey Burger, but they happily substituted steamed broccoli for the fries to help me work on my girlish figure. A good, healthy meal for takeout, in about 15 minutes. The turkey was nicely grilled, the veggies on it crisp and fresh, and the bun was fresh and toasty. The steamed broccoli was steamed broccoli.

The Friendly has been a staple in Coloma for Decades. My family and I still enjoy coming here, especially on Thursday, which is steak night! A good place to eat and enjoy a local brew without spending a fortune.

This is exactly what I’d want it to be: a local tavern with tavern food, a casual atmosphere, with a little more modern vibe than the smallest of small-town watering holes. There was a great Guinness special and a nice list of local Michigan wines. The kids menu had Kraft Mac n cheese with fries or chips… I could have used some veggies or fruit there. The Tater Tot Mountain was fun and the dip on the fried pickles was good. The fried foods could have been a smidge less greasy(there was a little bit of a grease puddle under the fish n chips), but that might’ve just been an off night. It’s nice that there are a few salad options, though the fajita salad needed some kind of dressing beyond salsa, and I like that we were able to switch to sweet potato fries. The ‘tin’ ceiling is beautiful, the cute color-able paper hats were awesome, and we had a nice time.

Very friendly service and not far off the highway to get to. Had the salad with apples, cranberries, walnuts, and cheese. Very tasty, light and healthy lunch stop! Great décor and comfortable atmosphere.

Never had a decent baked potato at this restaurant. I avoid the fries because they aren’t so good either. Maybe they should offer grits.

A decent place to have a beer and burger. Only had bad food on a few occasions, but that is to be expected with any restaurant.

We stopped here while out of town for dinner. We were seated promptly on a Friday night and our waitress was very attentive. The fried pickle appetizer was delicious. I ordered the pulled pork special sandwich and it was good. Not the tastiest I’ve ever had, but it was good and a nice size. We also tried the fish fry and it was also just good. The service was great and we did order drinks from the bar.

The food was delicious! I had their Mexican salad; it tasted great but was hard to eat because the tortilla bowl prevented me from mixing ingredients around. The waitress was friendly. Beware — it’s cold in there!

Ordered carry out the other night. The taco salad and hamburger were both very good. I appreciated that food was ready on time and the hamburger was cooked to the temp we requested.

Friendly service for sure but the food is pretty bad. Super salty, processed, prefabricated food. Next time I think I’ll pass on by

Stopped here out of necessity. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Got the chips and salsa with cheese, which ended up being store bought salsa with a plate of chips and cheese melted on top in the microwave. Why did I pay 6 dollars for someone to do that? We also got the tator tot mountain. Awful– enough said. We ate some out of both boredom and hunger but wouldn’t do that again. Save your stomach, money and time and skip this one. You’re better off at the McDonalds off the highways. At least they have a play place and likely better food.

Lots of food, but not very good. We started with the loaded nachos which were ok. The soups were very good but my prime rib with asparagus was both cold and bland. Hubby liked his steak and the cheesecake was good. It’s just overall the food could’ve been better for what you pay for.

Unilocal helped us locate yet another awesome local place with great prices. We chowed down on the monstrously Awesome Tator tot mountain. They call it an appetizer but it a meal for 2 or 3 people really. Meatloaf sandwich for my wife. She loved it. Clam chowder soup with Baked zita and garlic bread on the side for my daughter. We only wished we could devour all of it. Guess we are coming home with leftovers in the cooler once again. Friendly service Coke products
