Writing a review of a chain location(unusual and usually redundant) for the following unrelated(?) eccentricities: — they have a roving staff member on the inside shilling for flu vaccines and I don’t know what else. She’s very efficient so if you are an anti-social shopper, such as myself, you are forewarned. You will be button-holed. — half this store is like a five and dime or super convenience store — lots of groceries, including beer. So while it’s a good-sized store, there are actually fewer items on the shelves for the medi/pharma/bath-n-beauty section of the store than you might expect or is otherwise typical. — this, and most importantly: the parking lot here is deucedly useful if you’re turning from New Karner south onto Central west, as the pharmacy drive-thru(or the inner parking lot on the other side) loops around to allow you to bypass the grotesquely bad intersection. I am normally not quite so sociopathically anti-social(above comment notwithstanding) to be one of those jerks who uses parking lots as shortcuts, but there is something about this particular intersection that causes drivers to switch lanes, block right– and left-hand only turns, and otherwise cause unnecessary traffic clogs. Also, there’s an extra lane around the outside of the pharmacy drivethrough so you’re not even blocking people wanting to use the drive-through window or otherwise impeding traffic, and it’s a perfectly safe right turn only onto Central.(You can also access Consaul Rd. and the Dunkin behind the Rite Aid this way). So, there it is. Use this knowledge with wisdom.
