Burgers are not as good as they used to be. Wish they would bring back the awesome flavor they used to have. And customer service was horrible had to keep repeating the order and then fix it at the window. Also don’t enjoy having a window slammed in my face what ever happened to the great fast food and friendly service they used to have

As with many others I was a bit disappointed by the quality of the burger. The patties seem like it was your traditional pressed, frozen unseasoned burger that I could buy by the sleeve at Safeway. The patty did not look anywhere near a few of the pictures on here. I’ve been wanting to try these for so long and it was so cool to have one up here in Falcon. I so wanted to be wow’d but just was not the case. However I have to say the people in the food truck were extremely nice. I think all it needs is a homemade thicker seasoned beef patty and It will be a big hit.

I wanted to like Short Stop so much! But dang did they disappoint. The burgers feel like they were made from your neighbors backyard grill and not in the good way. Baby sized burgers. The patty was like an 8th of a pound. Fries were soggy and generic. Shake was huge but very watery. Would never go back.

I was looking forward to a little greasy burger shop, but this isn’t the place. I like all types of burgers and some of my favs are the simplest. These are simple, but I can make better burgers with those frozen patties from Walmart and the dollar store buns. That’s pretty much what it tasted like for over $ 7 for the small single combo. The fries may have been good but it tasted like they need to change their frying oil. I would have taken pics but they don’t help the matter. Needless to say I won’t be back and am still looking for a good local burger joint.

We were happy to make the drive from Peyton. Glad they moved to an additional location in Falcon, across from Valero on Highway 24. Love their bag of burgers… four burgers, four fries… awesome price. The burgers remind us of drive in theater food. Filling and tasty. It’s our go to burger joint for a relaxing lunch or dinner. The shoestring fries are awesome… not greasy and just the right crispiness. We love this place!

The fries were really good. I loved the strawberry shake it was amazing. The burgers were pretty good. And I loved that they have two drive thrus. But no there isn’t a lot of seating.

Ok. Nothing special just an ordinary fast food burger. Reminded me of a Sonic burger. Shakes were creamy and had lots of syrup to make them extra sweet. Would I eat there again? Well, I wouldn’t go out of my way to

I Left the drive thru and drove 20 min home. once home looked in the bag and was short 3 burgers. I called and let them know that I was short 3 burgers the lady who awnsered the phone told me that they didnt, and that she was the one who packed the bag. She said they will call me back. Phone call never received. This was my first visit to Short Stop @ Circle and Platte. The half of burger I ate(my son shared with me) was actually pretty good. Too bad for poor customer service. Check your bag so they dont accuse you of lieing to them like they did to me. I’ll let them have the $ 9 that they owe me… maybe they could hire a better Manager.

Soooo ripped off! On a budget and thought I’d try here for the In and Out taste per Melissa H review. Seriously thought I was getting a gas station burger. Patty seems pre-made with a soy taste. Cheese sauce with cheese? See pic. Crispy fries? See pic. $ 13.49 for TINY double cheeseburger with jalepenos combo with fries and large drink and regular chocolate shake? See pic. I guess the only deal is the bag… but wouldn’t feed this to my kids. Shake was a melted poorly mixed slurry. See pic. The only thing good was the coca-cola. Too broke to go buy a replacement burger from Drifters where I think is closest to In and Out. BJs, Cy’s, Five Guys. All would have been cheaper and waaayyy better.

Short Stop is one of those places I grew up with back in Austin, where they’re abundant. Basically, I knew what I should be getting into when I found out(thankfully!) there was a location here in the Springs. In short(yeah, I went there) it was everything I expect from a Short Stop. 1. Quality. The burgers are hot, the meat tastes fresh, and the fries kick the butt of most major fast food chains. 2. Quantity. You get what you pay for. The patties are thinner but still a good size. I’m a double-everything eater anyway, and a double cheeseburger was more than enough to fill me up with the help of the fries. 3. Sweet tea. I mean really, from the mid-west all the way to the west coast, having a place which sells actual, not just sugar added in sweet tea gives them an automatic star in my book. 4. Speed. In every sense of the word, it’s a Short Stop. The building has two drive-thru lanes, one for drivers and one(remarkably) for passengers. There seem to be more than enough employees to get the food cooked, bagged, and out to you fast. The longest part of the entire trip is waiting for the credit card machine to go through, and that isn’t that long. 5. Service. The employees were all extremely polite. They used words like«sir» and«ma’am,» smiled, and were generally courteous to their customers. There aren’t many places around here where the employees actually make you feel as if they appreciate your business. It was refreshing. If you’re in the neighborhood around Platte and North Circle for any reason(say you went to Memorial Park or something) then you’d be doing your stomach a service by checking out Short Stop.

The food came quickly, the sweet tea is actually sweet, the food is amazing and tastes fantastic. It’s so fresh and they use fresh veggies, and it all just tastes so good.

I’ve been going here since I was a kid, my parents were either cheap or didn’t have much money, so they were all about getting a good value. We used to grab burgers there whenever we had a reason to end up on that side of town, and now I like to share that joy of unhealthy but delishy food with my kid. Some people have holiday traditions, my family has short stop. Ha ha

This place is like a regular fast food joint but the food is actually fresh, unlike most fast food joints. When ever we are on that side of town with a craving for a whole bunch of fries and a good burger that won’t fill you up for the whole and cost 3 times the price then we stop on by. They are great for what they are, a local fast food burger joint.

I was first world starvin’. Man, was I hungry!!! I wanted a massive, sloppy burger. Or I would settle for two regular size, sloppy burgers. I went to Short Stop and ordered a «bag of burgers». This is four burgers and four orders of fries. I ate two burgers and two orders of fries. Oh yes, I did. The burgers were ok, really they are nothing extraordinary. Short Stop’s burgers are deluxe, as in lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, ketchup(and I think mayo). The burger patty is on the thin side and not bad at all. The fries were good, and also bit on the thin side but still good. I ordered two of the burgers without tomato.. .and they got the order correct. Oh yes, they did! Service was fast, efficient, with a smile. Short Stop is a burger place, and it’s just a-ok. When you’re first world starving, it’s a blessing.

Really good burgers and shakes. The fries were my favorite part. I never go to fast food places for burgers, so this place is pretty damn good.

Great burgers for a good price. Not the best burger in town(check out CY’s Drive-In), but delicious enough and not greasy or over-salty. Also, I’ve been going to Shortstop for over 10 years, and they have NEVER screwed up my burger, and I’m picky. I have a busy lifestyle(who doesn’t?) so going back to have my order«corrected» is a problem. Plus, when I ask for extra onions, I GET extra onions! The only reason I don’t go a full 5 stars is because they don’t use range-fed beef, but few do and I’m picky. Still an awesome place!

Pretty average to me. Not bad, just nothing special. BK’s burger is more tasty, Mc’Ds fries are better. Overall a serviceable burger and fries.

I have driven by this place and have seen the TV commercials(«Short Stop’s the Behhst!») numerous times. It has been sitting in my bookmark section for over a year and finally, FINALLY, I stopped by to grab a bite. This tiny drive-thru is incredible. The burgers are really flavorful(the patties are thin, which some may not like but I prefer) and their fries are super crispy and not at all greasy! The fires, I must admit, were my biggest worry when trying this place out. So many places get fries wrong all the time! But these little suckers are perfection — thin, but not too thin, salty but not too salty, crispy but not too greasy and delicious whether drenched in ketchup or left dry as a bone(I ate them both ways). They have a special called the Bag-O-Burgers which is just that, a bag full of burgers for real cheap. I might consider it as an alternative to the typical pizza I serve at parties! Also, the service here is fast and friendly. You can drive-thru or walk-up to the window in the front. They even have 2 little tables you can sit at outside if you choose to stick around. I will definitely be back to this place again. If you haven’t tried this place yet, do it.

I’ve driven by this place hundreds of times and barely gave it a glance. My mistake! We won a few gift certificates to The Short Stop recently and decided to check it out. Our burgers were delicious — big and sloppy with juice, etc running down my hands and plenty of condiments. The fries were also very tasty. We decided to forego«up-sizing» our meals, which was good because a regular meal was plenty. We were able to substitute shakes for our sodas, too, which is always a plus. The service was quick and friendly. We’ll be back.
