I had great expectations for this place but sadly, it was not a good experience. I had the Italian and the bread was not quite done and there were a grand total of two thin pieces of meat. Compared to other sandwich places in town… it really does not match up. Another thing, all of the fountain drinks were VERY weak. Like they were saving on syrup. Other places are much better.

Just ordered a steak n cheese. Could not separate the bread from the paper. Bread soaked. Opened it up…4 small pieces of meat and a ton of peppers which probably contributed to the soaked bread. 1st time here and my last

Not sure what the attraction is here. I ordered a foot long sub and got what seemed like a head of lettuce shredded. Chopped up turkey with slices of ham were the meat. One bite and everything tried to fall off the sandwich. I really didn’t taste anything, it was almost flavorless. The only good thing I can say is the bread was soft and decent.

The best turkey sub in Colorado. I’ve been eating that sub at the Platte location since 1995 and have not found any other chain or location that comes close. I think I’ll have one today…

Man what happened to this great 80’s sub shop that used to be so awesome. I loved the location on Austin Bluffs and Academy. I used to go there when I would visit the old Underwater Connection location. Nostalgia forced me to stop when I saw this location on Platte. Was it always so gross? The bread tastes like it is a month old… Skip

This place has amazing subs! I gladly drive from Austin Bluffs and Academy to get a sub. The subs are on the larger side. The 8″ seems to be closer to 12″ and they pack them full of ingredients. The Italian is amazing. Best subs in the Springs by far.

This place definitely earns a hole in the wall status, but usually those kind of places are the best kind of places. I found this sub shop on Unilocal and decided to try it because I’m just so burnt out on subway; I am glad to say I will not be returning to subway any longer because I have found my new go to place for a great authentic sub! This place is a bit scary on the outside, and not in that great of a neighborhood, but this place is a gem. I love the ladies working in there, they are all so nice and just make you feel welcome when you come in. I believe the man working is the owner, he thanked me for coming in, which I appreciated. The bread for the sub I had was so unbelievably soft and fluffy, not sure if they make it themselves but it was damn good. I will be returning for sure, and I will make sure to tell everyone about this awesome sub shop!

This place is great! Found it by mistake since it’s barely noticeable from the street. Subs are awesome so far. Will be returning.

Best subs in the springs. They have so much to offer. Hot subs, healthy subs, wraps, soups, cold subs, and salads. The owner is so hard working and friendly. He works side by side with his staff. Seriously, get down here and support this local business. They have a second location on Austin Bluffs and Academy as well.

This place is still great and I wish they could get more attention because I feel like they’re struggling. It’s better than subway and they’ll come right to your door.

I don’t usually write reviews but this place doesn’t have enough! Their daily special is a 6 inch sub for $ 3.79! I had the Italian and it was awesome. The outside isn’t very pretty but it’s definitely a great place for a sandwich. Very friendly people and make sure you get a cookie.

The best sub shop in COSPR hands down. So delicious. Hole in the wall, but it doesn’t change how great the food is!

I’m surprised this doesn’t have any reviews. SS Subs, is a little hole in the wall, which I’m sure you wouldn’t even notice, but the subs are good. They are real, and taste like home. All the veggies are fresh, the meat is good and tasty, and the bread is light and fresh. The prices are perfect for what your getting, and the staff is so friendly. Go there a few times and they know you. It seems very few people know about this place, so I’m writing this review for people looking for a good, simple sub. Check this place out, support our local businesses! You won’t be let down!
