It sucks that they closed another location without even telling regular customers. I hope we get a Sweet Tomatoes

This place went out of business. Don’t bother going here, it was heading down hill for a long time. It was a good place back in the day, but those days are long since passed.

The salad bar wasn’t «super» but it’s basically a cheap buffet, and if you want salad, and some«ok» soup, this is where you go. It’s sort of like eating inside a grocery store deli area. There’s a soft ice cream machine, too, and basic sheet cake for dessert. Every buffet has this type of cake. It’s like the Bible in the motel nightstand. I can’t complain about the service. I mean, the only thing the staff has to do is ring you up, bring you a drink(only if you pay extra for a drink) and clear your plates. There seemed to be one guy on duty the night I was there, but he was fast and friendly.

Food is adequate but could be better. The staff is very friendly and there’s a peaceful and nice environment. I have been to other SouperSalad locations(mainly in other states), and quite frankly this one in particular does not live up to the experience or expectations that I’ve had at other locations. As many other reviewers have mentioned, this place has great potential and I wait for the day when it meets it

Came here after a positive experience at a south Denver location, but here, it is obvious that food safety and quality are not often checked. The quality gave off the vibe of picnic food that was once good 4 hours ago. My kiddo even said the icecream was gross, and he ate a can of sardines for lunch. The place has potential to be good with quality management, but that isn’t there. Witnessed a leaky ceiling and broken toilet to the mix prior to leaving and I decided that I shall not return.

I’ve been to this location a few times, and while it is not as good as the North Academy and Kelly Johnson location, it had been fine. However, after this visit, I’m going to avoid this location. We came at about 7:25, and I get it; I’ve worked food service before, and no one wants to stay past close, but I would never make customers feel rushed. At 7:45, they started removing items from the bar without asking if we were finished with it. Then, at 7:50, they closed the cash drawer, and at 7:55 they locked the door and turned off the open sign. When they did this, they told us and another couple that we could exit though the side door. «No rush,» they said. I sure felt rushed. In contrast, we came in closer to close at the North Academy location, a week or so ago, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. They never made us feel rushed, even though we were the last patrons to leave. The food was good and satisfying, and there was still some fresh food, but there was also bread that had become stale.

This Souper Salad location on Garden of the Gods Rd is below-average in regards to the quality of food. Many of the items(breads, pizza) appear to have been baking under the heat lamps all day and are very dried out. The salad is either empty(No Caesar when I went), or looks old, like it has been sitting all day. The plates are very cold at least. The soup choices are basic, inexpensive potato, vegetable type soups, watered down so the company gets the most mileage out of them. The server was not at her front station, as there appeared to be only two people working there. She was running all over trying to keep people happy. She was courteous and helpful. The food appeared to be replenished from buckets(small 50 gallon white type) — rather unappetizing. This chain restaurant appears to be suffering as this location is in dire need of a facelift. It is old and tired. The bathrooms and dirty and the carpet and seats of the cushions in the booths are worn, torn and gross. Aesthetically, Souper Salad is not inviting. The Soups are bland — cafeteria type and are very subpar. The salad is basic and nothing particularly special.

Meh. Salad area is typical: spinach, tomato, cucumber, egg, cheese, etc. Nothing too exciting. MOST items are fresh. Potato salad and other«made» salads are heavy mayo — not too many options here. The salad bar itself is clean but there are only 17 people here and 4 of them appear to be employees on break. The chicken noodle soup was good as was the gingerbread. The pizza looks like its been there since yesterday. The sauce is dried to the crust. But I didnt come here for the pizza and apparently the management knows that. Service was ok. There was no one at the register when we came in so we actually went through and got our food and then had to finally ask for someone to take our money. The server who cleared our plates was very nice and attentive. Its good for something quick. Its not great but its not horrible.

Absolutely awful. I dined with my family. The lettuce was wilted and old, the pizza looked gross and my niece said it tasted that way too. The soup was tasteless and even the drinks were watered down. We took a few bites and called it a learning experience. We left and went elsewhere for dinner. The food was absolutely disgusting.

The other reviewers pretty much said it all. I’ve been to some nasty buffet style places before but this one was by far the worst. I worked at an Alzheimer’s care facility for 4 years and the food there was better than this. Nasty nasty nasty. Service was just as bad.

Horrible, really gross food. I agree with the other review completely. My husband found a fly in the lettuce and they made us feel like we planted it in there. Then he proceeded to give us on free meal coupon… a dude we won’t be back and both of our appetites were ruined… don’t waste your time and money its nasty crap. Jenna

I wanted a salad and I was really hungry, but I’m not a salad eater. But a little dinky wedge and couple tomatoes wasn’t gonna make it, so my daughter suggested the unlimited buffet, and here we went. I checked Unilocal and the Citadel location sounded deadly, so we were very pleasantly surprised at theGOG store. Fresh, very varied selections at the salad bar, several wait people filling drinks and bussing dishes. I saw one scrubbing to squeaky clean where veggies had fallen, when there was a gap in the rush of hungry diners. Very pleasant staff, cleancleanclean dining room, and lots of tasty food. Not the Broadmoor, but I wasn’t interested in the Broadmoor. I wanted to sit and eat and talk, and we were nicely surprised. We will be back.

This is one of the most disgusting restaurants we’ve ever eaten at. Used to go to the one at the Citadel years ago but stopped going because I felt sick to my stomach every time afterwards. We decided to try the other location on Garden of the Gods as a second chance. Huge mistake. Not only were the vegetables wilted, but the soup tasted as if it had been stewing for days, and the potato salad had bacon in it, along with some spoiled tasting mayonnaise/eggs. They obviously do not rotate their foods because we witnessed one of the hired staff simply pouring new ingredients over old from big nasty looking buckets. My wife and I had digestive problems for almost two weeks after eating here. No wonder this company is in financial trouble. Save yourself and find a cleaner salad bar, like Ruby Tuesday.

I’m a fan of both soup and salad, so this works for me. They could be more proactive about restocking, I got the very last piece of bread of any kind. Was hard to reach things across the buffet because many were low and had to be scooped out of the bottom. It was pretty quiet and empty, so I wasn’t terribly impressed that I made it down to the bottom of my glass and made loud straw noises before being offered a refill. Twice. But the raspberry tea is good stuff. They’ve added in more varieties of food since I was last here. I couldn’t begin to try to spell the kind of soup I had, but it was something with meatballs and rice and veggies. I normally hate soup with rice but it was really amazingly good.

Not all locations are created equally, beware of this one! It’s like a ghost town in there. There are minimal staff members, when food items run out, they are not replaced. The food seems neither hot nor cold, but you can be sure it has been sitting there a while. Don’t expect to get a drink refill or even a receipt for that matter. Store seems to be run by incompetent owners

I am from ny. I went to souper salads when I was visiting my gf in Colorado springs. Really loved this place. In ny, you have to shell out $ 10 for a basic salad. In that comparison unlimited salad and soup for $ 7 was amazing. Also the ingredients were fresh. The choices were plenty. Loved the fruit and parfait bar. Also you feel good after eating some healthy food. I wish ny had some place like this.

Ambiance: Self-Serve Buffet. Rather utilitarian feeling. Pay as you enter and grab a plate and load up. Wait staff will bring your beverage to your table. Service: Unremarkable. Food: Very basic salad bar selection. Desserts are pudding and a strawberry mixture to make shortcake. Some hot selections include pizza, baked potatoes, pastas, soups and bread. Overall, this place reminds me of the type of food that would be served at a large office building’s cafeteria. Very basic, nothing special, and nothing more than trying to satisfy your hunger, without regards to quality or enjoyment. The salad bar is just ok, but the hot entrees are terrible. Very bad pizza, tastes like cheap frozen(which I would lay money it is). Soups taste like straight out of a can. Pastas remind me of the spaghetti from my high school cafeteria. I would take a pass on this place.

When a get a veggie craving, this is where I go. The salad bar offers any combo you want, and the vegetable beef soup is a sure thing. They have plenty of choices to satisfy the whole family, including baked potatoes, chili, and kids’ food like mac’n’cheese. Don’t miss the freshly baked ginger bread. Not a fancy setting, but it works. And you can’t beat $ 4.99 Wednesdays.
