Sunflower Lodging

Great rates, comfortable cottages, wonderful hosts. We booked the king bed cottage for 4 nights. While this is obviously an older property, the hosts keep it clean, well-​stocked, and are eager to assist without being intrusive. The cottages have quirky but nice décor, the bed was much more comfortable than I expected, & the kitchenette had everything we needed. Great private spaces between the cottages to relax outside — to one side we had a picnic table with tiki-​style umbrella, & on the other side was a lounge set, grill & fire pit ready to use. Only negative was the low water pressure in the shower, but it was enough to get the job done. Awesome rates & location, being next to Garden of the Gods & Manitou Springs. I’d stay there again!

The owners do a good job of maintaining a relatively old property. The room was clean, and although a little small, quite comfortable.

The Sunflower Lodge is a quaint family owned bungalow. We stay there at least three times a year. I have four kids and they love it! Cozy places to sit outside by a fire or to have a picnic. Clean with comfortable beds and linens. Great mini kitchens stocked with teas and coffee. Steps away from a great Mexican food restaurant. Where you can listen to the creek. We just can’t stay enough about this place. Try it and you will love it.

Wonderful and unique cabins. Small, quaint rooms with kitchens. There are small nooks between the cabins, which provide a perfect spot to relax, read a book or have breakfast. The decorations are cute and the establishment is very well maintained. Each room is unique, and you certainly don’t get the impersonal feeling one gets at most chain hotels.
The owners are very friendly and helpful.
We have seen some fun wildlife during our stay, mostly squirrels and birds. The squirrels come up near the door to our room when we cook breakfast-​they are not shy at all!
The Sunflower is a great place for families with young children. Lots of little spaces to explore.
We will definitely stay here again!
