The food is horrible. Everything needs seasoning. And the food is old my wife go sick off the food for 24hrs its started with a terrible stomach ache vomiting.

This may be my fav faster food Mexican in the springs. I only get 1 thing and it’s amazing. Carne Asada burrito with guac and pico. The burrito is very big-full of beef-and the tortilla is very good too. It may not be the best Mexican around but it’s not expensive-good-and plentiful portions. They are located all around the springs, they are 24 hours and take cash or card.

Smothered carnitas burrito was excellent. Great flavor in the pork with just the right amount of pico and guacamole inside. Would defiantly recommend and will be back when in the area.

My go-to place for mexican food. The carnitas nachos or burritos are my favorites. They know how to do carnitas right! Little crispy bits of pork, not fatty at all, and sooo flavorful! Love the drive-thru too

Little Fast Mexican Food Dive… I have been coming to this location on and off since Summer of 2009… when I lived here for a short period of time. and moved back in 2014. When I come through of course the place is outdated and considerably in a neighborhood that is busy with traffic from the interstate and seems to constant foot traffic as well as bus commuters. I am not a fan of the area, as with anytime I tend to pull in someone is in a bar fight from the surrounding bars, panhandling, or the occasional crack rock user near by. But HEY it is the Springs! Win some lose some all the same. Now back to the good… Everyone in this restaurant is super polite. When you order from the drive thru sometimes they have a hard time hearing you as it is a very old updated system… but who needs high tech, because they always get your order right and they have a smile! I order every time I come here the NUMBER15 no lettuce. Not because the lettuce is bad I just don’t like lettuce on my numero 15. As I like to call it the variety smear…2 rolled tacos with guacamole and cheese(us white folk consider them taquitos because we seem them in the frozen section at Safeway) a tostada with the yummiest beans you will obtain unless you make them yourself, along with hefty portion of cheese mounded on top and finally what I like to call a squished together fried taco with a pulled steak type meat. Whatever meat they do use, it is never fatty, not the gross rubber fat portions but truly yummy shredded beef stuff. While it is a fast food place I think the building is an old Burger King… it takes about 7 minutes to get your order as it is made as you wait BUT oh so fantastic. I don’t think I ever waited in the drive through more then 15 minutes ever. The other plus is they have a kids cheese quesadilla and fries and one kids meal feeds my 2 little ones and the other feeds my 9 year old. Mind you all my children eat like 300 pound grown men, so little price I think around 4.50 for a NOT kid sized quesadilla and fries I will take it. I only buy the number 15 and the kids meals so I haven’t really tried the other items. My husband likes the Chorrizo burrito with eggs and he loves the red and green hot sauce. Don’t let it fool you both are spicy. When we pcs from here I will miss this Taco Dive and its random number 15, but something tells me even when we move away and are traveling through Colorado or visiting I will be back.

This is the kind of spot that most you folks in the Springs won’t stop at. Doesn’t have that irresistible draw that Apple Bees and Chillis seems to in this town. And that’s fine with me cause it keeps the drive thru line short for the rest of us. Good Breakfast Burrito Joint Checklist: –Make their own tortilla– CHECK –More eggs than potatoes– CHECK –English is optional– CHECK –Rumble in the jungle about an hour later– CHECK Taco Express is my spot. Lots of competition in this town, but this should be on your list.

This place doesn’t look like much from the outside but I had one of the best Steak Burrito’s I’ve ever eaten. The wrap appeared to be made on site and had a wonderful slightly crispiness to it. For me personally it’s what made this burrito stand out.

Awesome food! Can’t go wrong with anything on menu– beans, burritos, tostadas, and the tortas are some of the favorites of our house.

Guys at work eat here all the time and love it so I gave it a try. Wasn’t impressed at all! Prices were expensive and food wasn’t good at all. I got the burrito/enchilada special, it was sub-par. Friends ordered carna asada fries and it looked unappetizing to be polite. Don’t waste your time or money here instead go to Arceo’s just down the way and get a cheaper lunch with way better quality food!!!

Very tasty fast food Mexican. I’m from San Diego and they are comparable to So Cal Mexican food, especially the burritos.

Been here a few times when in need of some quick Mexican food. Owned by a family and run by a brother sister combo, nice folks, great quick Mexican food. Probably as close I’ll get to my faves in Arizona. Carnitas are always good and carne asada fries are still the best late night snack ever!

Went here last weekend because my husband remembered loving their Chili Relleno burrito. We both got one. There was barely a chili relleno inside. Mostly filled with bland beans and rice… and I mean BLAND! Hubby said it wasn’t as good as he remembered. Probably won’t be back but we’ll see.

The breakfast burritos were awful today. Ordered three with no cheese and all of them had egg shells in them. Not just a little you could be willing to let go, at least half the shells were in them and my children almost ate them. That was the last time we go there and we would drive clear across town to go there. No more! The place is dirty & run down. Everytime we have went there I clean off the table with wipes because the tables haven’t been cleaned. We have found hairs in our fountain drinks, I’m sure when they might have added the ice from the top if the machine. But today was the final straw! When the girl told the cooks about the egg shells, they laughed about it. If you’ve ever watched the cook you will notice he breaks the eggs with one hand and isn’t that good at doing it obviously. I have watched him in the past and he isn’t conscious of what he does. Never again! I may have to add a star just to post this

Great Mexican food, great price, great hours. When it’s late at night and your option is nasty bar food or Taco Bell, Taco Express comes to the rescue. I knew I had found a gem when I drove through at 3:30AM on a Monday night, and there were two cars in front me. Don’t be fooled, the food is real, delicious Mexican wrapped up in a shady exterior and cheap styrofoam take out boxes. The carne asada may have been slightly over cooked, but the pico de gallo that came with it was easily the best I’ve ever had, and I don’t even like pico. Chicken tacos were also delicious and the chicken was brilliantly marinated with an authentic, spicy taste. Gauacamole and the salsas were great too. This place is awesome.

We were hesitant to stop and eat at this place, because we had planned to go back home and cook. However, Unilocal won us over with previous ratings and reviews. The menu was large and limitless, prices unbeatable, and quantity was abundant. We ordered the carne Asada tacos which include guacamole and salsa — they were even much bigger than your average a la carte tacos. All for $ 2.20! The others in our party ordered the breakfast burrito which was perfectly stuffed with crispy bacon, fluffy eggs, and not your normal potatoes… FRENCHFRIES. Which added such a great spin to the traditional breakfast burrito. The other member of our party ordered the carne Asada burrito which was dressed with salsa verde. Accompanied by flavorful rice and delicious refried beans. The burrito was massive and filling. The carne Asada was unbeatable in texture and flavor! The entire meal we kept commenting about how damn delicious it was! YEEEEEEAAAAHHHH. Also! The boys who take your order make sure to give you the great red salsa and green sauce to add to the already wonderful flavors on your dish. Lastly…I’m sure if your an avid Mexican food eater, you know you need to squeeze some serious lime on, well, everything. And at taco express they give you HUGE slices of lime. Practically half the entire lime. BUTTHECHERRYONTOPOFTHISFINEMEAL, was the ability to point, laugh at, and troll the Taco Bell that is in perfect view outside the window.

THEBESTMEXICANFOODMONEYCANBUY! I was recently in Mexico City chasing after what I heard was the best burrito in North America. Little did I realize that the best burrito was right in front of my face the entire time. I consider myself an expert in Mexican cuisine and have developed a sophisticated pallet for verde(green) and rojo(red) salsa. In fact, just like wine, I can tell the year, climate and soil conditions that the chili’s and tomatoes were grown. Surprisingly amazing dining experience! This has to be by far the best Mexican food that you’re going to find, I would gladly pay double what they charge. The menu is quite large and robust with plenty of different choices to select from. One little surprise that I was not expecting at all is that they serve the meals with huge slices of lime and homemade salsa that is truly unique and cannot be found any place else. You throw on top of a little bit of additional value with the exceptionally low prices and you have a real winning experience. I strongly recommend the Taco Express if you are also an expert in Mexican cuisine. Teddy D.

This review is the same as the one for the location on Circle: I LOVETACOEXPRESS! I just want to shout it from a mountain top! …Although being in Colorado Springs is pretty much like doing just that! Anyways, this place is AWESOME. One of my first mexican food finds here in the Springs. I always get a #2(which for you new-comers that’s 2 beef tacos) and an horchata. It’s perfect late at night(they are about the only thing still open at 1:30am), and the day after a long night of drinking… if you know what I mean. For those of you just looking for a quick breakfast option other than your typical McDonalds McMuffin, try the breakfast burritos, they are absolutely delicious! And for those of you looking for a quick breakfast option at 3pm in the afternoon, try the breakfast burritos, they are available all day! Don’t let the questionable exterior fool you, they focus their energy on making BOMB mexican food, not updating the paint and seating.
