The food was pretty ok. Customer service was not what I call welcoming. If you ask a question of what something is made with, they will cut you off. The Guacamole was already brown on my plate. It was close to 7 – 8 dollars per plate. Might give it a second chance, might not…

This place was delicious, handmade tortillas and pupusas! All the meats we tried(carne asana and chorizo) were tender with great flavor, very impressed! The food takes a little longer to make only because the«mom» is making everything by hand. We will be back!!!

When I found out this place makes their own tortillas, sopes, and pupusas I knew it’d probably be decent. It’s an easy to miss little place on the corner. The staff is friendly. The menu is fairly extensive, and I usually have a hard time deciding what to get. The first time I came here I noticed one sope was $ 6.50?! The lady behind the counter assured me that it was large, which I’d hoped it would be for that price. Is is large, and piled high with meat and veggies. It gets me just past the point of a bit too full. I’ve had the tacos, they’re okay. I’ve had the pupusas, they’re good. They can be a bit pricey, but I noticed last time there was painting on the windows saying pupusas and tacos are $ 1.25 on Tuesdays. I’ve also had the wet burrito, which was pretty dang good. I really like their sauce. Anyone I’ve taken here has yet to be disappointed. Beware though that when you do leave here your clothes may smell like grease.

Famished after a 12-hr shift, I came in on my way home from work. I’ve never stopped here before, but my Son(who goes to school across the street) said that some of his friends like this spot. The outside doesn’t look too inviting, and they have yet to replace the sign from the previous restaurant«Las Carretas» or something like that. Sometimes these little hole in the wall spots have the best food! This was not the case here. Walked into a crusty restaurant that needs to be dusted. The place is dated and the menu is a bit vague and all over the place. The pictures of the food aren’t flattering and almost everything is the same price. Doesn’t really say what meats are offered, and it doesn’t help that the Lady at the counter just stares at you like«Hurry up and order.» She isn’t rude, but that’s the vibe I got. I ended up defaulting to a Carne Asada Burrito. Since I heard the Carne Asada Fries were supposed to be good, I ordered up just an order of fries, so that I could put a few into my burrito and see for myself. Place my order and go to the«salsa bar.» The«hot» carrots were really«bitter» carrots, as they must have been in that catering tray for a long time. Long enough that the onions seemed to have more color than the carrots. I even dared to try one. It was like taking a bite of earwax. The salsa was just about a cup and a half ladled into an entire catering tray. you almost had to scrape it out. When you managed to scrape some out, you had to put it in a small paper cup, which is something I’ve never seen before.(and hope I wont see again.) The red sauce is OK, the dark red sauce smelled funky, and the green sauce was just, eh. At least the radishes looked like they were harvested this year. The Burrito came, and it wasn’t bad. The meat had little flavor, but the beans and cheese were good. The tortilla was ok, and the amount of onion and cilantro added a little flavor to it. Not the best burrito in the world, but I ate it, and it did the trick. The Fries were kind of gross. Overcooked«seasoned» style frozen processed fries. Wont be doing that again. I had a Horchata, and it was WAY too sweet. I felt like I needed an instant shot of insulin in my stomach after this. I don’t think I will be coming back.

Wish i couldve given this place more stars but no. Today was my first time here, i heard the pupusas were really good. I decided to order 4 pupusas and a side of beans and rice. First i think the guy overcharged me because my bill was a little over 20 $ not to mention that it was pupusa special today. He didnt even give me a reciept either but gave everyone else a reciept which i found odd. The wait time was HORRIBLE it literally took 30+ minutes for something i ordered To Go. When i finally got home i tried the pupusas which were really good! But the beans were too salty and the rice didnt have much flavor. I definatly can go somewhere better than this place which is exactly why its 2 star.

Was really excited to go eat pupusas The reviews on this place were amazing Unfortunately this place disappointed We ordered tacos and pupusas The lady at the register was in street clothes including a wind breaker and was rude and behaved as if our presence was annoying her Ordered our food but never got our drinks We figured they’d come with the food Apparently they yell out your order number and you pick it up at the counter from the cook, something no one even mentioned when ordering our food We waited 45 mins for our food After getting our food we went to the condiment bar There was not much in there Salsa was all but gone, fly buzzing around, onions and cilantro were only thing there I got up and asked the cook for the Curtido for the pupusas. He didn’t even turn to face me but pointed to the condiment bar. I looked around and others had theirs in silver bowls. I asked if I could get some and if it was xtra I’d pay for it. He just shrugged and kept cooking. It was a strange atmosphere, no one talked or smiled. We decided to just eat and get out of there ASAP. We sat down to eat our food. The food was bland and pupusas were greasy. A young lady in a wheelchair tried to come in through the door on the side with a ramp but the door was locked. The lady with windbreaker just looked up and rolled her eyes. Her companion had to walk around the building and help her get in through the front door. When we finally got our drinks we asked politely if we could have a straw The lady literally rolled her eyes and stomped off. We uncomfortable beyond words took our lids off and sipped our drinks, she later returned with a box of straws and practically threw them at us. I’ve never felt so unwelcome and unappreciated. I kept checking to make sure it was the right place I was in shock especially with such great reviews Awful food, terrible service and atmosphere

Absolutely Delicious and their portion size is huge. Its cozy and the staff is very down to earth. They came by several times to ask how we were doing and were more then willing to get us extra napkins or condiments thought the time we were there. This place is far from where I live but I would drive out just to enjoy another dinner there!

Good customer service. Decent food, portions a good size but nothing out of the ordinary. Ambience is fair for the place it is. It’s more or less a fast food joint. Salad and salsa bar is a nice plus. Overall a solid place for a quick lunch but I’d only come again out of convenience and not if it’s out of my way.

Food here is delicious!!! Their horchata is amazing! Their tortillas… to die for! They also have food items listed that i’ve never heard before. But if you’re looking for authentic, this is the place!

called in an order for pupusas,(thinking that I was ordering from the previous owners) a friendly voice(Hector)told me that the restaurant was under a new ownership and that their pupusas were even better than the previous owner, I told him I’d give them a try-boy was he right! the pupusas, salsa, and curtido were BOMB! I appreciate the friendly customer service as well. I noticed that they have mole enchiladas on the menu, I be back to try those as well.

An old colleuge of mine told me about this place last year. I’m a foody when it comes to Ethnic Food. This place makes the best Salvadoran Pupusas I have ever tasted. The authenticity of the taste and food plates is great. On my first visit the lady who took my order was great and accurately took my order. Customer service, as you know at any restaurant is key to a memorable experience. Every time I stop in when im craving pupusas I’m never disappointed. The menu has a pretty diverse selection and the food is great indeed. Thats the reason I keep visiting this place. The appearance inside is as clean as it can get for a busy Latino restaurant. The location being its in Colton, Ca is not the best but what do you expect? I recommend this place as a great hidden treasure for anyone seeking a spot for Pupusas and good selection of Ethnic food.

I was invited to this place and i’m a ventures eater but still a creature of having and i had reservation trying this place. I had burgers one time here long ago and then maybe 5 years later it was a Mexican restaurant. Maybe that’s what made me kinda reject the idea at first, but my brother continued to motivate me. I must admit i entered the place being skeptic at first but as the Pupusas started cooking i smells the beautiful smell of perfectly spiced Maza in the air. Pupusas: Maza– well and perfectly seasoned not too salty not to sweet. thickness not overwhelmingly thick. Filling– The filling of my selections where to the perfect proportions, not to thin with the right amount of filling to ooze out when cutting whit the fork. thickness not overwhelmingly thick. Curtido-was«Delectable», meaning it what was well blended and seasoned, not to sweet like in some places that kind make what is suppose to be a pickle preserve kinda blah. i will definitely try more selections and review this place more. i gave it the 4 star for the perfect Pupusas that i had and was hard to find. Most place i have tried lately have had flavorless thin Pupusas.
