Impressive first visit to this Aveda thanks to Mark. He gave me a mini facial and assisted me in choosing items that best fit my needs. He was very knowledgeable about all of the products. Thanks for the great experience. I’ll definitely shop there often.

another great beauty & cosmetics shoppe at columbia mall. i’m a fan of their new «stressless» line of products, which has a nice peppermint and lavender scent to create a calming «stressless» environment. this line features hand lotion, body lotion, and bath salts. they also offer a complimentary cup of their house tea while you shop, a gentle peppermint tea which is soothing to the soul. from time to time, they offer complimentary services such as a hand ritual or free samples of their products.

The employees at this Aveda are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They’re able to effectively «troubleshoot» hair and skin problems and recommend products to help solve them. It’s worth mentioning that the staff here *does not* work on commission, although do definitely try to get you to buy stuff (hey, it’s a business!).
Many of the products are available in trial/travel size, so you can try things without having to purchase the full size bottles. The «Pure Privilege» rewards program is definitely worth it, even with the one-time $ 10 fee, if you plan on being a regular.
The only downside to Aveda is that it’s pricey. If we’re stocking up on our mainstay products, we can easily drop $ 100 which is pretty nuts for shampoo, conditioner, etc. That being said, the quality is fantastic, so a little goes a long way — I’ve been using the same bottle of gel for months. You have to decide for yourself if it’s worth it. We think it is.
