Belk Department Store

I have shopped at Belk my whole life. Actually I worked at a Belk when I was in High School. I’ve always thought they had great sales and merchandise. For the past 5 years or so, the customer service is just not there.
I went on Saturday and again tonight. I picked out a pair of jeans in the ladies department. There wasn’t a sales clerk in sight anywhere. I had the same problem on Saturday.
I ended up taking my jeans to the men’s department to finally find a place to purchase them. They are so short staffed. The dressing rooms are a mess. They’re full of clothes. I don’t know how many items are stolen from that store with no sales clerks.
The only reason they’re getting 3 stars is for the sales and the brands. But the service lacks in so many ways. Don’t expect to get any help while you’re there. They really need more staff.
