Quality outdoor gear and helpful staff that you can tell know all there is to know about their products through their own experience. They make me enjoy buying local.

I really enjoy shopping at Half-​Moon… they offer men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, outwear, and shoes, as well as gear for paddleboarding, kayaking, camping, hiking etc (if it’s an activity that can be done in the great outdoors they more than likely carry it)!
I usually come here seasonally looking for keens, toms, northface, and patagonia brands — most recently they were offering 20% off in store and online on Patagonia (which is awesome)!
They also have a clearance/​discounted section at the back of the store.
The staff is usually friendly (there’s one guy that’s been here for a while and he really seems sincere when greeting and assisting with sales and transactions).
The only (minor) annoyance I have… I purchased an item ¹¹⁄₂₂ with my credit card, they asked for ID, (which is rare these days) okay… not a problem (I had it on me because we were out Xmas shopping).
I appreciate them trying to protect the customers and probably themselves esp. during the holiday season.
The item was the wrong size, we went back ¹¹⁄₂₃ (the next day)… I wasn’t driving and I wasn’t planning on shopping so I didn’t bring my wallet, just my credit card (no ID), I approached the register with my item and receipt… the girl was polite and started the return transaction — she then asked for my ID (which I didn’t have)… she asked if I had anything else showing my name… I didn’t… Anyway she accepted the return, but it was kinda awkward to go through the whole process (minus putting the money back on the card), just to ask for an ID… What thief is going to steal a credit card, and the merchandise, andddddd the receipt just to return it and put money back on the card… I dunno, I guess people are that crazy these days lol.
So anyway — I’d recommend this store to anyone looking for (clothing/​gear) for their outdoor excursions… just have your ID at all times!!! :)

HMO is a really cool store. They carry very outdoorsy merchandise, but it’s a really fun store to walk through and check everything out. Their staff is EXTREMELY friendly and I always like to pop in when I can. Check out their cotton logo tees – they’re my favorite thing in the store!
