Excellent food and sushi offerings. Portions are great. Catering is available too for when you are the host.
Great atmosphere and easy to get to from any point in town. Plenty of parking right outside the front door.

Obsessed. Been to every sushi place in Columbia and it’s always been just blah but Jina really knows how to combine different flavors to make the best sushi. Try any signature roll and you will love it. I go to Jina’s or order it for pick-​up at least once a week to get my fix. Best sushi place in Columbia, Mo!

My friend and I chose here for Saturday night dinner out. Arrived at 6 and were immediately seated and ordered within five minutes which was great. Restaurant wasn’t too crowded at all and had a wonderful atmosphere. The reason for the low rating was the food wait time. It was an hour and a half before we got any food and watched people be seated, eat, pay, and leave. I understand it was a Saturday night but all we got were two rolls and other people who arrived later ordered more and were served sooner. The food however was delicious and creative. Really bummed it was hard to enjoy due to terrible service

Avoid if your needing to eat within an hour, limited staff and stretched personnel creates waiting to to be seated, waiting to order then waiting over 45min once your seated before food arrives. It has potential but the food isn’t that spectacular for the wait the customers are required to experience, go elsewhere. The waitress forgot our appetizer and our drinks went unfilled once our food came. Another table walked while we were there.

Good fried rice. Edamame hamus is excellent. Try their sushi rolls. I got mine with vegetarian and avocado. They have saparo on tap.

My favourite sushi place in Columbia MO. I have only had the sushi here because it is so amazing. Friends have tried other dishes and really liked them too. Jina is very nice and attentive. I am a repeat customer and have never been disappointed.

The first time here, I mistakenly thought that b/​c Jina is from Korea, they’d have some Korean food. Consequently, I was quite disappointed after ordering the Korean-​sounding dishes and having them be totally different (and worse). This was my fault.
Second time, sans Korean pretense, it was alright. Had some appetizers ordered by others – seaweed salad, fried veggies, edamame, something else – all fine. Got one of the rolls w/​eel in it – also fine.

The sushi is AMAZING! The sin city roll was to die for. The owner is also really nice and attentive and went to every table to ask them how their meal was. I will definitely be going back! I just recently moved here to columbia and finding a good sushi place made my day!

It took 45 minutes to get an order of calamari on a weeknight during non-​peak hours. The coating fell off immediately because the frozen calamari they used hadn’t thawed enough, according to our waitress. The entrees are pricy, but you do get a fair amount of pretty mediocre food.

Loved the appetizers. Very unique flavors that go perfectly well. This was my second time here and i loved the food. Very fresh and tasty food. The desserts are especially good. Hummingbird cake is a must try

Very disappointing: The service was very slow and haphazard. Multiple tables got entrees before we even got appetizers. Most of the food is very salty. I ordered the Red Eye roll, and the fish was very old and mushy. I had a different server than my own help me, got the Fu Sake roll — which had almost no flavor other than being deep fried. We waited forever to get out check while servers were laughing and joking. All in all we spent almost two hours being disappointed.

I just moved out here from Southern California, so I’ve tried a lot of sushi places and this place was delicious!!! I love how creative they are with the food to give it diff flavor. The staff was great and the owner personally came to ask how our food was. The place is nice an intimate, I can honestly say this will be 1 of my fav restaurants!!!

My husband and I have been to Jina Yoo’s twice and we have had great experiences. We ordered the Crabby Basket and wow! You could smell the fresh crab immediately when you bit into it. Soooo good. We also got The Double Crunch Scallop sushi roll and the Sin City roll and they were AMAZING. Very fresh ingredients.
The prices seemed a little high but once we actually ate the food it was well worth it. I would rather pay a little more to get quality food and we got quality.
The atmosphere was pleasant and our waiter was professional and very knowledgable. We will definitely keep going to this restaurant.
