Decided to try this place, even with the mixed reviews. We were seated right away. Drinks served right away and refilled consistently. It took too long for the food even though the place had just a few table as it was 4pm. Menu was not remarkable, considered tabbing out and going to 5 guys but decided to stay. I had the southwest salad, son had meatloaf, husband the prime rib sandwich. My salad came without the peanut sauce. When I inquired waitress said they were out of it, she forgot to tell me. She did not offer to substitute with another option nor did she come and ask me if I’d rather select another dish since something on the menu was not available. My plate had greasy fingerprints all around the rim which grossed me out. Did not like the salad, barely touched it. Waitress did not bother asking me how it was or if I needed a to go box or anything. Son liked the meatloaf husband said the sandwich was ok. I tried a bite of both, they were edible but the au jus was way too salty. On the bright side the sweet iced tea was good as well as the warm bread they bring in the beginning. They get a star for that. I came out hungry wishing I had spent half of the $$ at 5 guys instead. Will not be back. Honestly, McDonald’s southwest salad is a LOT better.

Bless the wait staff’s hearts for trying so hard, but this was hands down the worst restaurant that I have ever been to as far as cleanliness and quality are concerned. I typically don’t post unless something is absolutely amazing or absolutely terrible, and unfortunately JPs is the latter. The seats smell like mildew, the food was stale and had clearly been left out for hours if not days. Despite an attempt at looking high end, JPs makes Applebee’s look like Ruth Chris. Even my boyfriend who will eat literally anything had to stop eating after 3 bites. Really really really terrible!

We have been here several times and each time there’s something wrong. We normally get a steak. Each time they undercook mine. Each time the excuse is the temperature is uneven on the grill. Today the service sucked. There was one waiter taking care of six tables. Very impersonable. I had to request he wipe off the table which had left over crumbs and wax build up. The food(4 Corners Salad & Canton burger) took a while to come out(one person cooking) but taste good. Loved the shoestring French fries. But then, as I was about to take a fork full of salad I noticed a piece of hair. Told our waiter and he said absolutely nothing. He walked to the next table and came back to ours with an adjusted check. That’s when he said here you go. No apology just here you go. We really are going to find somewhere else to eat because as I said there is always something about this restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant to friends.

I’m not sure why this place has such bad reviews. I came in on a Saturday, got great service and the food was awesome. There were kids menus and crayons so my children even had stuff to do. I had a great experience and will be returning again!!!

I had not been to JP’s since they opened. I stopped in once to look at their menu soon after they opened after changing the name from Arizona’s. When I saw that the décor was the same, menu very much the same, but looked like they added the Four Corners bit to their steaks I wasn’t impressed. We had the worst experience several times at Arizona’s and I vowed to never return. Fast forward two years — our neighbor’s told us they went to JP’s several times and loved it, so we figured we’d give it one try. We went last Friday with two friends and had a great experience. The waiter was good, prompt, and came back frequently to refresh our water and tea and check on our food. Our friends ordered the brisket, bread, Parmesan ripped potatoes and a vegetable. His wife and my wife both ordered the Red Rooster half chicken. It was moist and seasoned perfectly. She had garlic mashed potatoes that were a bit dry. My wife had grilled asparagus and a side salad with house buttermilk garlic dressing. She loved the asparagus and the salad was great. It was very crisp and fresh with diced tomatoes and bacon. I tried a bite of the salad and chicken and it was very good. I ordered the seared Ahi tuna and it was done perfectly Sashimi style and served with a small salad with a mango depressing which was awesome. For an appetizer I had to try the creamy prime rib and onion soup(the one and best thing that Arizona’s had). It still is one of the best soups I’ve ever had. Wish I could find a recipe for it. My neighbor is hooked on the Salmon and grits. I ordered a side of pepper jack cheese grits just to try them and I did not care for them at all — BUT, I usually only like grits with a Tasso cream gravy. The consistency of JP’s grits didn’t suit my taste. We will be returning to try some other menu items in the future. The one thing that we were surprised at was how empty the restaurant was for a Friday night at 7PM. Very few cars in the parking lot and a lot of empty tables and booths. My wife commented«l hope it stays in business. Update: Forgot to post the above review and we went back last night(one week later). We both ordered the house salad with the house buttermilk garlic dressing. She ordered a filet mignon and I ordered the 14oz. Corner ribeye. We both selected the Colorado style(peppercorn and blue cheese) toppings. Salads were superb. The dressing is the best! We ordered a pint of dressing to take home for $ 5. The steaks took a while to come out but we’re done perfectly. She ordered medium and I ordered medium rare to medium. At first glance I thought the blue cheese topping might possibly overpower the steak, but it didn’t. The whole peppercorns are really good and give it a good, strong pepper bite when you bite into it. If you don’t like a lot of pepper you may want to beware! Her asparagus side was good, but not as good as last week’s. It was too al dente and the sauce wasn’t as good either, I ordered the Parmesan rippled potatoes and we both lovre do them. They basically bake a potato, then slice it into chunks, deep fry it, then toss it with garlic butter and Parmesan cheese. Highly recommend it. I think we’ve found a new steak place other than Ruth’s Chris!

I wanted to eat here because it was a place I haven’t eaten before. I heard of the negative reviews but wanted to go anyway. The food wasn’t what I expected but the manager on site Haley made every attempt to win my confidence back. This establishment is in a transition period and Haley and the waitress did everything possible to win another chance back. As a retired chef this is not always the case and as a manager that believes in quality service they did everything by the book. I would come back because they were truly sincere. Look forward to coming back for one last try. A promise is a promise.

I just ate here with my girlfriend before going to see a movie. I saw it across the street from the theatre and was like what’s that?! Checked out their website and it said«premium steaks.» HELLYEAH… Hell no. Let’s just put it this way. The $ 11 sirloin I got from Cracker Barrel two days ago tasted 100 times better and had way more flavor than the $ 27 filet mignon I just ate. My girl got the same thing except she got a salad with her order. Her comments«the salad was good and the tea was too.» I’m no steak connoisseur, but I definitely didn’t get what I paid for.

My Mom wanted to dine here for Mother’s Day yesterday. Upon checking in, the hostess handed my Mom(and all the Moms) a pink carnation for Mother’s Day, which was very sweet. This place used to be Arizona Steakhouse and my parents love the BBQ pork ribs. They are very good; I like mine dry with the sauce on the side. Before we left, a nice young lady asked us if we received our envelopes and I replied, «No»; she said we should have gotten a little present and promptly returned with 2 envelopes each containing a $ 5 gift card and a lovely handwritten note. Very classy! People underestimate the meaning of taking the time to hand write notes– but my Mom and I appreciated it very much(particularly in a time when schools have decided to stop teaching cursive). My parents are regulars and I would not hesitate to take them here for any special occasion.

We almost didn’t eat here because of the negative reviews but I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. Service with a smile and a great atmosphere. Food was better than expected. One of the servers heard my daughter ask for some of the green onions that came on an appetizer and he came back and surprised her with her own bowl of them. We will definitely come back again.

Where do I start! The menu Is almost the same as Arizona’s other than that nothing special. The bread they brought out was horrible, dry, just nasty. This place according to their logo is supposed to bring the favors of the southwest. No it doesn’t, not at all. The flavors have nothing to do with the four corners of the southwest. Need to train their staff to expect people to question why they would promote a place like this

Went here on a valentines date and it was awful. I’m not one to ever complain about food but when our food finally came out it was so bad I couldn’t even eat it. My husbands steak was so tough he couldn’t eat it and I got a vegetable plate(how do you mess that up?) and the mashed potatoes were like they came from a box, and the other vegetables were so mushy that it grossed me out. We sent all our food back and were too scared to try anything else so we just left. Never again!

Excellent food. Have tried many items on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. Nice environment to have a pleasant lunch or dinner. If you go you must try the calamari. Another must have are the steaks. Fantastic stuff. Highly recommended.

The waiter was great. The greeter at the door was terrible and rude. She was on the phone when we entered and was equally as rude and dismissive to the person attempting to place a reservation as she was to us as we waited for her to finish on the phone. No apology. No smile. No greeting. Just asked quite flatly«How many,» and began walking. Later we saw her putting silverware on the table for a large party and she sneezed all over the table. Didn’t cover her sneeze. She literally turned and sneezed all over the table(mouth open)!!! Didn’t bother wiping the table or chairs or washing her hands. She just continued to place the silverware on the table. It was disgusting. The food was good but it was cold. We had to take our entrees to go so that we could warm them at home and eat them properly. Everything was cold, appetizers and entrees. The 2 stars are because our waiter was terrific and the food was tasty(thanks to my microwave). I could overlook the cold food and give more stars but the incredibly rude«greeter» was abysmal.

I was hoping it would be somewhat like Arizona but I was very disappointed. I was there at a very slow time of day. The waitstaff was slow, not much thought put into presentation of the food and I ended up sending back the steak I ordered. I ordered it rare but it was medium well… After that, it was a rush to get me out of there.

I can’t review the food here, since we were never actually waited on. We came in, were seated, then sat at our table for a good 20 minutes without anyone coming to our table. Even though tables around us were already having their orders taken. Even the wait staff I did see on the floor weren’t really concerned that we were there. Maybe because we have kids with us? We ended up leaving still hungry and thirsty because no one ever did come over. We won’t be back.

Date night and it was an awful choice. The service was slow and the food was awful. My burger must have sat under the heat for a while. Nothing special about the steak my date had. I have it one star because my drink was good. But I won’t be eating there again. And as others have commented it’s just like Arizona’s. Nothing different.

Nothing egregiously terrible here, but nothing special either. Came in a couple of weeks ago for a midweek dinner. We’d been to Arizona’s a few times and it was adequate but not anything particularly great, so we thought we’d try again with the new restaurant in this space. Service was great. The waitress we had was really nice, and the host who greeted us was as well. Every time we needed something, it was brought quickly, and every staffer we asked was happy to offer suggestions and info. So that’s good; they’re doing service right! The food was… fine. Nothing on the menu really jumped out at me as super appealing, but I ended up ordering a burger, which tasted OK. Both it and my husband’s steak came out cooked to death, though(I ordered med on the burger; he ordered med-well on the steak because he is a barbarian). Dessert was OK, but it was clearly frozen, not house made. Still, it’s not that the food was bad, just really boring. The problem was that boring was coupled with overpriced for the quality. We could have gone to several much better local places for the cash and had a better dining experience, or we could have had the same experience for far less at the Longhorn down the road. I didn’t hate this place, but I didn’t like it either. I’m not likely to go back.

It’s basically the same as Arizona’s. The décor is the same… menu almost identical… food tastes the same. If you didn’t like Arizona’s don’t go and expect something different. Disappointing because we really need something new and fresh in the Village!
