Mayflower VI

Ordered the Singapore chow mein, and 2 spring rolls. Everything tasted awful. The noodles were greasy and just overall gross tasting. Couldn’t even stomach a couple bites. The spring rolls were much better. The real reason I am writing this review is because I found a piece of plastic about an inch and a half long in my noodles. This is an absolute disgrace and will lead to me never ordering from this place again. I could have choked and been seriously injured. What a joke of a restaurant, DO NOT I repeat do not order from this place ever. Don’t know how they are still in business. Check the photos to see the picture of the plastic I found if you are interested.

Ordered via GrubHub. Everything was delicious, but it did take a while from the time that GrubHub said my food was «in the works» to about an hour for it to get to my office a few blocks away. I’ll chalk this up as just GrubHub not being specific in it’s status updates and that maybe «in the works» just meant that the restaurant confirmed my food but didn’t start making it yet. The food was plenty hot and fresh when it got to me, so not a big deal.

I LOVE the food. It tasted so fresh and everything we’ve ever ordered has been so tasty. Arrives very quickly! My new favorite.

This is my go-​to spot when I’m craving greasy, starch-​filled Chinese carry-​out. I love getting the lunch special from this place. It’s a great deal and always tastes delicious; however, my fingers won’t allow me to give this place **five stars**. The lady at the front desk needs a serious attitude adjustment. As stated in the previous reviews, she’s rude and hostile all while taking your hard-​earned dollars. Take her out of the equation, you’d definitely get a five-​star salute from me.

I’ve ordered here two times, and the food here is very good. The lady who takes the orders is hostile, as other reviewers have mentioned. Overtly hostile. Enough to keep me from returning. She may only be that way toward women, but I’m not sure. Regardless, her hostility earns this place two stars.

OMG so I order something for pick up on the night of 7÷19÷15. I waited a few minutes and headed over to the location. I was sitting in my car at the front door of the restaurant waiting for my order to be ready. As I am sitting there I watched a mouse run from under the screen door and pace back and forth in front of the building. I was so grossed out, I literally threw my car into reverse and left.
About 30 minutes later the lady calls me and asks why I have not come to get the food and explains to me that they would deliver it. I said NO I saw a mouse come out of your restuarant and I am not going to eat the food.
Needless to say, I drove across town to another restaurant to get food. I wish I could give this place zero stars!

I’ve ordered from here about three times now. This place truly qualifies as a «hole in the wall», and I can see how some folks may be skiddish about ordering from them. But every time I’ve ordered I’ve been amazed at the quality coming out of Mayflower. Today I ordered wonton soup because of an upset stomach. The broth is light, not greasy, and not salty. Just right! My family loves the wings from here and the human shrimp is always fresh and tasty.

Unfortunately, I must change my review after the last two times We have used Mayflower.
Order. We ordered Chicken Lo Mein, Meat Dumplings (fried), Coconut Chicken and then used the coupon for free spring rolls. Order was placed via Grub Hub and a request for extra chop sticks and soy sauce was made via the delivery instructions.
Food. The Lo Mein and Dumplings were OK, average. The chicken in the coconut chicken was breaded and fried chicken pieces like is used in any of the other chicken dishes. The coconut sauce was a nasty, ultra rich concoction of what tasted and looked like miracle whip mixed with coconut milk. It literally made me nauseous. The spring rolls were not delivered (second time in a row this has happened).
Delivery. Delivery took about an hour. The man who delivered the food was courteous and friendly. The request for chopsticks was ignored and as stated before, the spring rolls were not delivered.
I may give Mayflower one more chance because our past experiences were so good, but this is most definitely a second strike in my book.

Mayflower has become our «Go-​To» for Chinese delivery in Columbia. There food is always good. The Egg Foo Young is the best we have had in the area. The food is always fresh and usually has to cool to be eaten. Delivery is always on or ahead of promised times. The prices are pretty standard. I have never called them to order and have always ordered through Grubhub, so I don’t know about their telephone customer service. Delivery folks are always very polite.

The food not bad… but the girl who answer the phone is very, very rude!!!

Coconut shrimp is fried shrimp with a side of mayonnaise? The $ 13 coconut shrimp was fried with a side of cold mayonnaise! I called to complain and was told «oh sorry». The delivery took over an hour and when my food arrived I get average crab Rangoon and mayonnaise shrimp. Nasty! I won’t be ordering there anymore.

Pretty good.
I mean it is take out. But if I wanted high class Chinese food I wouldn’t be hanging out in Columbia and paying $ 7 bucks for a lunch. Good vegan and vegetarian options. But veg looks fresh. The ingredients are well cut and cooked. The flavors I wanted are there. The customer service was what it needs to be. You call, you order, you pick up and pay.
I think this will be my lunchtime Chinese place until further notice.

This place has horrible service. My first time ordering delivery from them and they bring wrong food. I called and let them know but woman who answers phone barely speaks English then has the nerve to tell me that I got the right order. I tell her 2 out of the 3 were correct but I ordered pad Thai and they gave me chicken with broccoli. She says she’ll call me back but never calls. We hear knock at the door and it’s a guy saying he’s here to pick up the food. I give him the chicken dish and ask where my pad Thai is and he says they’ll be back. Wth! Who comes to pick up food without delivering correct order. So I called and told them to bring our money back before I drive down there. The food that was correct wasn’t even good. We ordered from another restaurant. I’ll never order from Mayflower again.

Absolutely love their fake meat dishes. Love that the sauce comes in separate containers. Usually I only use half and a few days later mix it with steamed veggies. Yum. The person at the counter and answering the phone is very nice, but not perfect with English and I think she’s very shy. I’m slow and concise about what I’m ordering and never had a problem. They’re open late and deliver. The only negatives are that it’s hard to find, you can’t eat there and the mock meats are a little pricey.

my first time calling the mayflower to make order is very terrible. the lady who was on the phone is very impatient and rude. I told her that she is being impolite as a new customer, and would not want to consider the restaurant in the future if she continue to act such way. She says that then in that case don’t take order from them, and started arguing with me claiming I am threatening her. I am writing this so that the owner is aware with such bad customer service

The lady at the desk is rude as hell she is very short with people and if you ask a question about the menu she gets a attitude… I have eaten here twice and both time felt sick to my stomach after will not be returning…

Fast delivery, good prices, pretty standard, tasty fare. The menu is broad enough that even fairly picky people can find something of interest. Their dinner combos are extremely reasonably priced. Bonus points for being able to order online.

Great place to go. Springs rolls chicken fried rice and general tso it’s great.

I’m not sure what those two are talking about but this is the BEST Chinese food Ive ever had in a long time. The produce is fresh and crisp, the meat is tender, the rice is fluffy and the sauces are excellent. It taste like the food was prepared with love and care. I always give a good tip when I order. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Everytime my boyfriend and I eat it, we get sick. But before we get sick, the food is pretty good.
