This place is a hidden treasure in Como! Their burgers are amazing! It’s kind of hard to find but it’s absolutely worth it. They’ve been around since the 50’s and there is a reason why! Go check them out. The burgers are pretty small so you might want to get two but the prices are amazing. I recently came across this place and wish I would have known about them sooner. Check them out!

Not the best but not the worst. Don’t get the burgers but the cheese fries are worth checking out! Cash only! :(

I don’t know why people like this place! Yuck! The servers description of the burger was loose meat held together by a binding agent… what? Maybe that description made me hate it before I ate it, but I don’t think so. It really wasn’t that impressive.

Delicious food — perfect for a date night on a budget!

Whenever I’m back in MO visiting Family, this is a MUST have! Their cheese zip is amazing… I only wish they had a place like this in California.

I went here and got a chili-​cheese dog, it was really good! They have steak fries which I am not a huge fan of, but they were alright. I don’t like root beer, but got a root beer float anyway and it was delicious! This place is inexpensive, but not the best spot for any picky eaters.

Great burgers and chili cheese fries, friendly car hops! Only place it’s not rude to honk your horn.

CASH. Make sure you have it. They don’t take credit cards or out of area checks. Food was what you would expect from a local drive up. Loose meat sandwiches and steak fries. Preferred the BBQ burger over the plain. Root beer was delicious. Nice little find while driving through Columbia.

I stopped for lunch due to reviews on a few web sights. The stop was worth it! I ordered a chili cheese dog, cheese zip, fries, and root beer. The dog was excellent! It was a skinny dog in a skinny bun with onions and chili that was thick enough and had great flavor. The cheese zip was about the same beef patty size as a single at McDonald’s but the bun fit perfectly and the condiments were in perfect per portion. For a meal I would order two. The fries were a steak fry and had great taste.
I wish this was in my town!

This place is a staple of columbia mo. It’s a local hideaway that I would suggest if have never been. Make sure to bring cash and a big stomach. Zip burgers are amazing.

By far my favorite place to eat in Columbia. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. Only downfall is that they only accept cash or local checks.

Excellent food and fast service. It is a true hole in the wall. We got 2 meals with drinks and a gallon of root beer for 14 $. The waitresses were friendly and charts with us and the weather was fantastic. There is no bathroom though so that was a little inconvenient but otherwise a great experience

Been going here since I was a kid! Finally cam back for a visit after 15+ years, and it taste exactly the same! Brought back great memories, just absolutely LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

This is our first time here. I was surprised to have such good food. We tried chili cheese bun, the zip burger and the cheese fries. Everything was amazing for the price. It’s dirt cheap and good food with good service. I am definitely coming back.

Very good and unique loose meat burgers… well worth going out of our way for! The Root Beer float was old fashioned and very delicious!

Best chili dogs I’ve ever had. Get there early becauce the parking lot gets crowded early. Also great root beer but tastes better in the glass mugs. There is aslo another Mugs-​Up in Independence, MO that is open all year.

This place is a solid gem.
Classic style drive-​in, burger joint with loose-​meat hamburgers, homemade root beer and an order of fries large enough to be a meal by itself.
My friend took me here while I was visiting him before his graduation. He said I couldn’t go wrong with anything I ordered. He suggested the Zipp burger (it’s their signature, if you will), but I defiantly ordered the BBQ burger, a root beer and we split some fries.
I could taste my arteries clogging, in that delicious way that only home-​style American diners can taste, with the sweet and savory BBQ sauce and the perfectly prepared burger.
My advise? Dine-​in, they’ll bring out your food on a metal tray that rest on your window, have a mug of home flavored root beer, a burger, kill the engine and listen to your stereo and reminisce of the simpler times, when the drive-​ins were first popularized because people were too lazy to leave their cars to eat. :)
