«To all the people who say that the staff is rude, how drunk were you. Don’t be stupid» –said the guy in the red hat. Over all great pizza! Great place for late night after bar munchies!!!

This place has the BEST pizza and subs in Columbia, SCPERIOD. Their meatball and Italian are huge compared to everyone else in town. Pizza is amazing as well(huge pie that comfortably feeds three). Tons of toppings and crispy crust. Not the crap from Mellow Mushroom. Two guys from outside of NYC are crushing it in 5 points. Extremely friendly staff! Every person that I’ve told to go and try it have raved about the food. Pretty good small selection of craft beer and amazing food. I frequent roughly 3 Saturdays a month. I wish they’d open three more in Columbia. Go support them! We need more places like this in town. Seems like this city is trying to turn into the chain restaurant capital of the south.

Excellent pizza… the Italian sausage is awesome with just the right spicy kick. Great service and delivered when promised. Just ordered again.

Good, cheap pizza and good, cheap beer. What else could someone ask for? A bartender at a bar mentioned we should check out this place for pizza and it was a great recommendation! They sell pizza by the slice and the slices are huge Brooklyn style slices. The amount and quality of the toppings were good too. Pitchers of draft beer were cheap and they had outside seating! It’s my favorite pizza place since I’ve been visiting!

Fantastic! Ordered take out and my mind was blown! Great prices(will be back for the pitchers… super cheap and good selection) and large pizzas. A medium is the same size as a chain store large. Fresh ingredients(my car smells like deliciously fresh basil — I got the margherita) and a great crust. I will never order from a chain store in Cola again.

Their pizza is fantastic. New to SC and very happy to find a board walk/NY style pizza

Wow. The Calzone and Stromboli are massive and delicious. The Stromboli was jam packed with sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, ground beef, and ham, which is a great thing, but it also made it a little too sodium saturated. Otherwise, flavor was en pointe!

We had a quick lunch at Nicky’s today and it was great. I had a very fresh, tasty Greek salad and split a pizza with my wife. Very thin crisp and good ingredients. Small pizzas are enough for two. Nothing special on décor but pleasant outdoor space.

Star one, the pepperoni rolls(all real pizza places have ‘em). Star two, the plain pie(that’s what we call it in Jersey and if you order it and the person knows exactly what you are asking for you know it’s gonna be good). Star three, the meatball parm(huge and authentic). Star four, the guy at the register was wearing a NY Giants hat. Can’t give five stars because no place is perfect… Seriously, while passing through Columbia to Charlotte the family ordered and we were treated to the best, pizza place food we have had in years.(We are originally from New Jersey but now live in NC). The prices were very reasonable, the folks were nice and the food was great. Try it, you will not be dissapointed.

Everything here is awesome! I’ve tried the pizza, hot subs, cold subs, etc. Every single thing I’ve tried has been amazing. Keep up the good work!

GREATPIZZA. Good beers available by the pint, bottle or pitcher. Great prices and authentic NY style food all around. Eat here!!! The patio and indoor seating have a laid back pizzeria feel. We will be back again… and again. Yum!

Of all the pizza places I’ve tried so far in the downtown/Five Points area, Nicky’s is the best. The service was quick, the prices were great and the pizza itself was delicious. Parking is a little weird, especially during the after-work rush, but I was able to find a free-metered space at the Pour House and walk over. The next time I want pizza, I’ll definitely be back. The pizza is a lot better than the more well-known Village Idiot.

The pizza here is great. Made to order and piping hot. If you just want a slice or two you can order that or you can get a whole pizza. I prefer the thin style bit they offer thick Sicilian too. Reasonably priced and great outdoor seating. Best pizza place in 5 Points!

The pizzas pretty good. Definitely not the best in Columbia. But the workers are rude. I probably won’t go back because of them. This is the second encounter where they have been rude to my friends and I. They need new workers.

Value pricing, fresh made subs toasted perfectly! I had the chicken fresco sub and considered taking the second half home. Coming from the Pacific Northwest I ate outside while catching some rays. B) Sweat tea was smooth and plenty to pick from in terms of beer. and they deliver monster calzones that will kill any late night hunger!

Nicky’s was recommended to me by a neighbor of a friend that lives downtown Columbia. My wife and I have moved here from Chicago 11 years ago and we love a trip to Uno’s once in a while, but we prefer the New York Style Pizza. Our favorite pizza’s in town so far have been Marco’s and Dano’s, and I mentioned this to my friend when we were having some drinks one night. His neighbor, who has frequented Dano’s frequently, said his favorite was Nicky’s…so I had to give it a try. We went in on Saturday afternoon and I was a little surprised with the atmosphere. It’s really not a sit-down restaurant inside with a waitress taking orders, but more of a college type place where you place an order at the counter and then you can have a seat along a bench next to the wall that has about 7 – 8 tables with chairs on the other side of the table. They do have a nice covered outdoor seating area however. Everyone raves about the calzones, and they did look good, but we wanted to try the pizza. Rather than order one of the regular«specials» we always get ours with our own ingredients, onions, mushrooms, american bacon and pepperoni. We ordered a medium, figuring we could take the rest home for lunch the next day. The girl behind the register said that each side item would be $ 2.50, so the final price of our pizza was around $ 27.95 — with two beers and tip our total bill was around $ 38.00. A little steep for a medium pizza. I think that $ 2.50 may be a little high for each separate topping… not sure. But, the pizza was excellent. Nicely done crust, just crisp enough to hold the toppings without falling apart. The cheese had a real good pull and the flavor of the sauce was excellent. Probably the best pizza we’ve had to date in the Columbia area. They have a good beer selection, staff was friendly, and I will go back. In nice weather it’d be nice to sit outside and enjoy the pizza… wasn’t fond of the inside seating area, so I’m giving it four stars basically due to the ambience. When I’m ever downtown in the future and looking for something for dinner that evening I wouldn’t hesitate to order a pizza to pick up and take home for dinner. Try it… I think you’ll like it.

Any dog FRIENDLY place is a place for me. The new extra outdoor seating is great! Beautifully done and adds to the already comfortable atmosphere. The staff is always on it! As a New Jersey native good pizza is something I know pretty well and can definitely appreciate. So far this is the closest thing to «home» in Columbia! Did I mention PBR pitchers are only $ 4?!

I can’t help but think that Unilocal lead me wrong on this one. I ordered delivery late night on a Saturday. The food came quickly but it just didn’t taste good. I can’t believe how many people compared this to ny pizza. As someone else mentioned it is way too greasy. The sauce is bland. The garlic knots were really doughy/soggy. Pleasant service but that’s about it. I would skip out on this next time.

Nickys pizzeria is the perfect late night pizza shop. It will hit the spot right after all those vodka sodas, bud lights, and fireballs are setting in. Located just a block off of 5 Points it’s an easy stumble away from all the crowded, rowdy college bars. Right next to Ultratan and across from the Post Office if you are navigating with one eye closed and need a little more detail than a Google map. Late night at around 2AM they were only serving pizza by the slice. My pepperoni was crispy and greasy just like it should be. Our friend was a little upset because she wanted to order a sub and they said no more subs even though the guy literally in front of us ordered one. Another friend wanted to order Stromboli and was told only slices, yet mid grub sesh we saw a Stromboli come out. Strange! The place is pretty cool with a nice outdoor patio. Very clean for a pizza place open til 3AM. Pretty quick with serving up the food. And not too packed compared to the other late night spots right on the main roads. Will definitely stumble in again.

Other commenters are correct — if you like thin crust, sometimes it’s hard to find in SC. I like Mellow and the Pizza Joint but both could have a little crisper crust and are on the verge of too sweet. We’ve been to Pizza Man a few times but it is a dive. Good pizza, but yikes. Noah’s Antica is good but kinda far to drive for us. So we met our son at Nicky’s for dinner the other night, hoping for the best. Nicky’s didn’t disappoint. We ordered a large Chicken Bacon Ranch specialty pizza for three adults and had two pieces left over, so plenty to eat. Crisp crust perfectly cooked and just the right balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings. We were there fairly early(6:30-ish) on a weeknight, so no trouble finding parking, seating, etc. We sat outside on a mild evening and enjoyed the atmosphere and TVs. Beer selection was small to medium but good quality, several imports and crafts both can/bottle and draft. Will def be back. Really want to try one of the veggie pizzas next.
