Standard Rat Shack. Again, located near I-70. Again, lots of traffic as it is on Stadium near LOTS of other businesses. The bonus is that if you can;t find it at Rat Shack, you can hop two doors down to Best Buy and look there. also, they are dropping T Mobile’s products and picking up the Big Red Corporate Whore, Verizon.(Don’t get all uptight on me, I have been an indentured servant to Big Red for over a decade…) So, another place to seek out overpriced gotta-have gizmos for my wireless addiction. The employees at this particular Rat Shack are quite helpful and even, KNOWLEDGEABLE. BONUS!

So incredibly frustrating! I buy a car charger cord from the Shack in St. Louis about July 2010. It breaks. I go to Shack in Columbia(about October 2010) and replace it. I figure this is not Shacks fault but the manufacturers. I buy a new cord WITH optional extended warranty. It breaks in the plane on the way to St. Louis. I return to Columbia(today) and think.“hey, I can return my cord for a new one.” Not so fast. Mark(friendly salesman) informs me that I need to call Radio Shack so they can tell me how to return said cord. THEN they will send me a gift card to use at any Radio Shack. I was ticked. No, I was pissed off. I ask to talk to the manager. Who, by the way, I just witnessed treat Mark like a total a$$. Needs major training on people skills(especially how he talks to employees in front of customers). Manager confirms that I need to call, mail, wait, shop again at another Radio Shack. No way! I get super glue from Mark, fix the cord(hopefully) and write off Radio Shack from future visits. I wil certainly be calling the 800 number to vent further. Long story short– I think these guys know a lot about electronics, phones etc. but some of their products are junk and corporate consumer policy is as well. Chin up Mark. Get a job were you are respected. You seem like a nice enough guy. Maybe you should be the manager.
