Super 8 Motel Columbia

For the price it was clean and the staff was freindly. Good for a night say would not stay for a week.

Room was unbearably stuffy, opened window bugs flew in, with more bugs already on inside of screen. Talked to staff about changing rooms. They said I would need to talk to the online booking agent I used in order to change rooms. When online booking agent called hotel was COMPLETELY uncooperative.
I found the facilities disgusting, the staff pompous and not too competent (when they can’t find your reservation and you spelled your name for them… and it turns out your reservation exists… and under the spelling you gave) and overall I have to say the worst travel experience I have had in a decade! Use one of the other Super 8s around Columbia, MO

I’ve never encountered such rudeness. The check in girl was the only nice person in this hotel. They messed up our reservation. Threatened to call the police on us if we didn’t leave when we were suppose to stay one more night. The room next to us had a sex orgie going on all night.
The non smoking section of rooms smells like pot and cigarette smoke. The people next door were smoking pot in all night. The carpet is disgusting. This is the most unprofessional hotel motel 8 I’ve ever stayed at. I will be contacting corporate to report this incident.
I always look for the best in what a business has to offer. My advise would be to spend a little extra or book ahead somewhere else. Being that Columbia books up so fast this was our only option when coming in to see our son who attends MO state.

This is an older, but clean hotel. Fridge, micro wave, and big television. The shower head is only five feet off the ground and the orange juice is served warm, wouldn’t say they really have a breakfast. Some of the staff is nice and some of the staff won’t even stand up from the back of the front desk to help you. Thin walls, try not to stay in the rooms right off the lobby since you hear the lobby TV all night.
You get what you pay for…
The roll away bed is insulting.

I have stayed in super 8s and various hotels like holidays inns and hiltons all over the country. This has to be One of the nicest super8 i’ve ever stayed in. Better than the howard johnson I stayed in last time I was in town. It is comparable to a Fairfields or holiday inns. Room had a Big 36 LCD tv. The room was clean without any strange smells. Had a microwave and fridge. The beds were comfy and I passed out immediately. It is located next to the freeway and you do get some road noise but closing the window made it unnoticeable. For the price. It was definitely worth it.

If your options are: 1) sleep in your car or 2) stay at this Super 8 — choose your car!!!
Sadly I am paying premium prices to stay in a terrible smelling room because it is Parents Weekend. The whole facility needs a makeover. The hallways smell like mold or smoke and my room — oh my God — you almost need a gas mask.
The only good point is the staff — they are friendly.
