I am visiting the area as I’m from New York and was shopping in the village, got hungry and came across this place. The food was wonderful, I ordered the tavern cheese steak with onion rings. Everything was wonderful from the food, to the staff(May I say Michae was wonderful), the atmosphere was excellent. All around a wonderful experience

the music was so loud, and we asked for it to be turned down, it was turned up louder, the food was ok, but if i want loud music, i will go to nightclub!!! it will be a long time before i returned, this place needs john taffer to come by and tell someone to turn down the music. there are a lot of restaurants to try.

We were shopping at Sandhills and decided to stop in here, as we’ve seen their TV commercials. Great atmosphere, sweet hostesses, and great bartenders. Managers roaming around, running food, being hands on, which is always nice to see. We started with loaded potato skins, which were very good. Lots of bacon, which is always nice. For dinner, my S.O. had a buffalo chicken wrap(which he ate all of before I got a bite). I ordered a sliced ribeye sandwich, which was one of the best I’ve ever had. However, they should add a tomato. We each had a few drinks(good amount of beer on tap, also, decent wine by the glass, which is hard to find in a sports bar setting). We wish this place was in our neighborhood!

I love this place. Great food, great environment, and great service. Every time I get burger here, I wonder why I don’t come more often.

We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was really busy. There was a 15 to 20 minute wait. All tables were full. Sometimes a restaurant will tell you that and you see multiple tables open. The hostesses where extremely friendly and helpful by offering menus to look at while you waited. In observing the wait staff, they we constantly on the move and walked with purpose. Managers were actively moving around asking customers how everything was. Overall, food was good and met our expectations. We had no complaints. Hopefully the next visit will be the same.

Nice place. It’s very loud in there when I went. Didn’t like the fact I paid 12 dollars for 10 shrimp and shoestring fries. They need to get some better fries for the money. Will try again.

Last night my fiancé and I went to Top Dawg Tavern, and my fiancé was discriminated against and humlitaled in front of a group of people because of his race and age by the server, and the two mangers. He was accused of having fake I. D because we were from Georgia by a server who was rude, and had the nerves to say she knows a fake I. d because she has one. I mean for one who says stuff like that! Then one of the mangers came by the table telling us she looked on Google, and it said it’s suppose to be laminated. So my fiancé and I both looked up license for Georgia not once did it say that. We goto to Top Dawg Tavern once a month, and they card him every single time, and never had an issue before. We are not upset at the fact of service(alcohol) being refused. We are upset the way we were treated, and spoken to by server’s, and both managers. Also one manager(male) is the same exact same manger who dose table touches with guest, but go above and beyond to over look the table my fiancé and are sitting at and greet others. They also have employees that sits down and drink alcohol with their friends while they are still on the clock as well. We spend good money and tip very well every time we go to this establishment, but I am going to take my business elsewhere.

Average at best. Burger is pretty small for 8.00. Staff was friendly. An ok atmosphere but with 5 guys two blocks down I doubt this place will be here in a year.

Sports bar with good beer list at the Village of Sandhills. Ball and chain and I dined here post Star Wars at iMax /Pre-shop till you drop for Christmas. I enjoyed a mushroom philly with onion rings, wife enjoyed a three cheese grilled cheese with fries. Food & Bev both good. We sat at bar. Bartender was polite and nice, but was off putting to watch her eat(finger foods) and not wash hands before pouring beers/serving food. Being ex food and bev, she should have gone to the back of the house to snack. If she was going to do this in front of people WASHYOURHANDS!!! Our ticket came with a grease smudge a-la the chicken finger she just finished.

I have visited this establishment many times for lunch and dinner. There’s not been one time that I have not enjoyed myself with the staff and the amazing food. Thank you Top Dawg!

I have only been here once so far. I loved the wings. The staff was very friendly. The manager came over to the table a few times to make sure every thing was ok. Which it was.

My husband and I went to Top Dawg for .50 wing Tuesday. I’m glad we did! We both ordered the hot wings and they way surpassed the other wing chains. They arrived hot and fresh. We also got the soft pretzels for an appetizer which came with cheese for dipping. Very good choice. We sat at the bar and Brittany was very attentive and friendly. She’s the best! All in all we had a great experience at Top Dawg and will definitely be back.

I’ve been here a handful of times and have generally enjoyed it. The bartenders are fantastic, wait staff great, food pretty good, but my recent experience was sullied by the general manager Michael. From what I’ve gathered, Top Dawg tavern is a sports bar. Apparently, if you cheer too loudly for your team(no swearing, just cheering) in the bar area, you will be told to tone it down by Michael. The comment was not directed toward me, but I find it ridiculous that your patrons are scolded like children when they’re cheering for their team… in the bar section… of a sports bar. Also, the fact that Michael felt it necessary to call a security guard to come in on a very non-confrontational«issue» is absurd.

Well me and some friends stopped into Top Dawg today for lunch and I had mixed feelings about this place today. The staff were very friendly but new but still attentive to our needs. After getting settled we tried BBQ nachos which were very good and filled us up before are entrees were served. Our orders came out back to back with not enough time to finish off the nachos. I then had some hot dogs, one with chili and coney sauce didn’t have any taste to it all, the other hot dog with pulled pork and mayo tasted a little better. So in closing I thought this place was a typical corporate restaurant just like all the other places to eat in the Sandhills shopping center. Three stars is being generous.

Thought we try this place. Atmosphere was great! Since it’s just my husband and I, we decided to sit at the bar. First order appetizer Fried Green Beans– not bad! A little skimpy on the serving and the sauce. Entrée — mine was mushroom Swiss burger w/fries — -was disappointed when a got a size of small McDonald burger like only difference was it was served with lettuce and tomato. Had to showed my bar server the burger and asked her ‘would she be proud of this burger?’ And her response was ‘no’. She took it back to the kitchen! While I’m waiting for my dinner my husband started eating his Chicken tenders served with onion rings. I saw what looks like a dry chicken tenders that looks like it came out of a frozen box. Onion rings were ok not great. All the while I’m watching the barrista do her thing and she made a chocolate martini and used a single serve coffee creamer !!! Hmmm??? I finally got my burger but it didn’t look any better than the first one. Taste was bland. So if you want a tasty burger, this is not the place. Though the menu had awesome variety, perhaps I’ll try something else — if I ever think of going back here. So they promised me a dessert to make up for the burger but… No one asked or offered it to me again so I never got it… It’s like — thank you and here’s your check!!! Overall– for atmosphere, service is a ‘so-so’(we didn’t have a single person assigned), Food is average. It’s your choice– me, maybe not.

First time stopping in here. The stars are mostly based on atmosphere. It has an open floor plan and bright lighting. I was not a fan of this setup. The menu lloks pretty good… not just hot dogs. They even have a grouper sandwich which I might try sometime. Just stopped in for a beer break while shopping so no food reviews. All in all, a little generic feeling.

Went here last Friday with our neighbors. Nice atmosphere. Nice bar. We arrived around 7PM and had about a 20 – 30 minute wait at the bar. The hostess said they would find us when our table came up. Our wives ordered two Chardonnays. Price for a glass of wine is $ 8-$ 9 generally with the house wine at $ 6.00. We were seated in a booth and ordered the Buffalo Chicken dip with nachos as an appetizer. It was good. Everyone liked it. Not too hot but just right. Our neighbor doesn’t like heat and I thought that it would be too hot for her but she liked it. My wife ordered the Sante Fe Chicken with black beans and rice. I ordered Fish and Chips with Blue Cheese Cole slaw. Our neighbors ordered a slider and onion rings and also the grilled grouper sandwich. She liked the slider and they said the onion rings were good. He liked the Grouper sandwich a lot and aid he would order it again. The fried fish were good, not great. The coating was not real heavy, or thick, but good. I prefer Red Robin’s or Scotties over this, but it was good. Fries were good and the Blue Cheese Cole Slaw was good. II tried my wife’s black beans and rice and I liked those a lot. Didn’t try her Chicken. She had a couple of bites and didn’t finish it. She thought it was just too bland and dry. The waitress(who was very good) came by and noticed that she hadn’t really touched the chicken and asked her if everything was ok. My wife at first said fine, but the waitress said«you really didn’t eat it»! My wife replied that she really didn’t like it. The waitress offered to take it back and bring her something that she would like in its place. We said that was not necessary. She said she wasn’t going to charge us for the meal, which was very nice of her. I think the key to eating that dish is to mix the chicken with the rice/beans and eat them together so that the chicken then doesn’t just seem like you’re eating it alone. At least that’s what the waitress suggested. Overall we were very pleased and look forward to going back and trying some other menu items. I’ll give it four stars for now and see how it holds up when we return.
