Tripp’s Fine Cleaners

Last week I dropped off a white dress to be dry cleaned. When I dropped off the dress there were no stains but when I picked up my dress there was a yellow stain on the front so they said they would wash it again. Two days ago I picked up the dress and the stain was still there and they said they would not wash it again and there was nothing they could do for me. I asked if I still had to pay and they said they wouldn’t give me the dress back unless I did. Don’t take your cloths here to be dry cleaned!

I just spent $ 20 for these people to ruin my daughter’s best dress. I probably could have gotten the spots out at home, but hoped they could do it better. Grease spots are left not just where the food spots were but all over the dress where cleaner obviously dripped. And there are numerous picks that were not present when I left it. In addition, they did not even try to clean another item I left, saying they «didn’t think it would get clean, and she called you about this.» No one had called. I will never use this business again.

Beyond terrible service.

DO. NOT. GO. HERE. AWFUL EXPERIENCE.
I brought in a shirt with a bulk of clothing to Tripps. I wrote down each article of clothing that was brought into Tripps because I wanted to make sure I knew every article of clothing I gave them (I had heard about some mishaps prior to this– I should have known). I picked up my clothes, my shirt was not in it, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt as I assumed they must have tagged it with someone else’s clothes. They made a note and said they would speak to their manager and look for it. NO RESPONSE from any kind of manager or employee.
FINALLY, TWO WEEKS later and after my FOURTH inquiry, I get a call from the manager. She completely contradicted herself and what the other employees said. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Bottom line: NO apologies, NO help, NO shirt. «I don’t know what else to tell you.»…
She said I could talk with the district manager… I said yes I would like the number and she tells me: «I can’t give it to you.»… I then stated for confirmation «So you are saying you cannot give me the number of your manager or ANYONE higher up than you?» … «that is correct.»… I’m sorry but that is just absurd.
Absolutely, positively ridiculous. So now I am missing a great shirt that I have only worn once and cost me $ 40. My theory is: they put the shirt through the dry cleaning and the embellishment buttons could not hold up in the process, therefore the shirt was destroyed and they retagged my clothing without the shirt so they could cover up their mistake.
SAME THING happened to my roommate. I thought it would be different, but I should have known better and now you do. Awful experience, awful customer service and not to mention WAY too expensive.

The seamstress is awful. I brought a $ 300 ski jacket in for it get patched up. Instead she sewed it, and it made it worse. The cleaning service is awful and they do not provide good customer service.

This is the most expensive dry cleaner in town. Two different sets of employees were rude to me both when I dropped off my clothes and when I picked them up. Most egregious was when I picked them up. One suit had a quarter-​sized and very obvious pile of white funk on the front of it that I was certain was not there when i dropped it off (and even if it was, shouldn’t it have been cleaned off)? When I pointed it out, the clerks were completely unhelpful. After I complained twice, they offered to clean it again. No «i’m sorry,» no discount. When I told them I had to wear it and didn’t have time to wait until the next day, they agreed to take $ 5 off my bill.
This place costs twice as much as a normal place, and I experienced truly awful, unfriendly service.
Not to Tripp’s: Either drop your prices or learn to treat your customers well. I will accept either. In the meantime, though, I’ll never come back. I hope that this review scares other people away, too.
