Excellent mussels and great wine and beer selection. Tuesdays are half priced martinis and great selection! The warm spinach salad was outstanding too with soft boiled egg and pretzels! Dinner with friend who was equally pleased!

The only reasons that I did not give this place 5 stars, is because the quality of service is not consistent(it has never been awful, but I’ve had an amazing server and a few that were just okay). Also, depending on when where you are seated, the seats can be hard and uncomfortable. Nonetheless, the food has ALWAYS been on point. What I have had: –Buttermilk Fried Chicken Pick Up Sticks(really good, I love the sauce that comes with it) –Lobster Grilled Cheese(it is sooooooo rich that it is hard for me to eat the whole thing) –Duck Fat Fries(yay for the aioli that comes with it) –Poutine(OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG) –Banana French Toast(super good and I don’t really like french toast that much) –Rum Raisin Bread Pudding(absolute game changer — this was a conversion experience with my husband, who hated bread pudding until this — it wasn’t as rum raisiny as I would have liked, but… its good) And all of it was delicious and I always want to come back. The first time I had the lobster grilled cheese, my server suggested that I have the side salad to balance the richness of the salad. When I saw the salad, I was disappointed. It just looked like mixed greens coated with some kind of dressing. When I tasted it… OMG. There is a maple vinaigrette that is just… amazing…I asked if they sold it by the bottle. Yeah, this is definitely one of my favorite places in Columbia — in the DMV period. Please check it out if you have not already. You will not be sorry. Warning: Theoretically, there is ample parking. However, this place stays so busy that it can pose a challenge.

We love it here. The craft cocktails and beer selection is the best in the area, and the food pairs really well. Service is punctual and consistent, and the servers are very friendly. Try the nitro tap Breckenridge vanilla porter and lobster grilled cheese.

Absolutely amazing duck fat fries! I had a randyrita which was different in the best way… Boyfriend had a beer. All in all great idea to stop by victoria’s. I’m from Texas wish we had one of these near dallas!!! Just found this gem of a review in my drafts. Hope the company is doing well since this is four years old… My bad! :)

The duck fries were as told… it’s so good!!! The service as great… the waitress kept coming to our table to ask us how we were doing. I went there around 7pm so parking was very hard to find. Can’t park at McDonald’s so you hVe to find a farther parking spot if you can’t find any at Victoria

I’ve had good dinner and brunch here, and while the small-rooms seating arrangement can be challenging to navigate, it’s usually a pleasant atmosphere.

Burger: 5(obviously this separate designation is Mr Beffrey’s idea) Food: 3 Service: 2.5 Ambiance: 3 We have come here multiple times for lunch, usually on the weekends. Mr Beffrey(the burger connoisseur of this duo) raves about the Wagyu burger. It has ALWAYS been cooked to order, to a perfect juicy medium rare(mostly pink inside with a thin rim of cooked outside). This burger is Mr Beffrey’s favorite burger in the Baltimore area, beating out Abbey burger and the steakhouses in the city. The truffle cheese is a worthwhile splurge. Definitely opt for the duck fat fries, which knock Ms Beffrey’s socks off. The fries are intensely flavorful, and usually pretty crispy. The Cobb salad with roasted chicken is pretty good. You can tell the chicken is roasted in house, quite savory and with good meaty texture(none of that rubbery deli meat stuff). It’s heaped with blue cheese, pancetta cubes, and a whole lot of avocado. The«pretzel croutons» sound a bit pretentious, given that they are Snyder honey mustard pretzel bits, straight out of the bag as far as we can tell. Service has been hit or miss. Generally the servers are pretty average(would give a 3), though a few times we end up languishing around the table waiting a a while for water refills or for our check. Not sure if this is because we often sit in the«adults only» room off to the side and we just get forgotten. Overall, this is a solid option especially for a casual meal out in the suburbs. Will keep coming back.

I’ve been to Victoria’s a lot and enjoyed it every time. The poutine is always a favorite at the table, but I have enjoyed most everything else I’ve ordered as well(minus the cheese platters, they are a little boring). The drinks are always fun to page through and the mulled wine in the winter is delicious! My only issue with the restaurant is that it is definitely overpriced… not that I have stopped going because of that.

I’ve been here twice for various friends’ birthdays, and I’ve drawn the same conclusions both times — Victoria Gastro Pub is an overrated, overpriced restaurant that sells standard dishes in small portions. It’s well-known duck fat fries($ 7 for a bucket) were quite flavorful and provided a unique taste as compared to traditional fries, and the duck fat poutine($ 10) was rich and satisfying. However, apart from these side dishes, the main entrees were very generic and unmemorable. I had the angus burger($ 13) on one occasion and the lobster grilled cheese($ 17) during my second visit. Both dishes felt overpriced and left me feeling slightly hungry. I really wanted to become a fan of Victoria Gastro Pub after hearing people rave about this place. However, maybe only after the portions are increased in proportion to the costs of each entrée will I be more inclined to enjoy eating here.

I’ve been meaning to write my forgotten about review of this place. Not forgotten because it wasn’t anything to remember, simply because I’ve been busy. At first glance from the outside this place appears to be a typical sports bar. But that’s so not the case. I went for a quick afternoon lunch after one of my hectic nursing school clinicals with a classmate and suddenly wished I was there with my significant other. This is an intimate, dimly lit establishment with the white tablecloths and all but serves good home cooked style food. I immediately fell in love with the duck fat fries which was a mixture of what reminded me of a bunch of thanksgiving food flavors. I believe it was an appetizer which sucks because after eating them I was too full for anything else. We also got some kind of chicken finger skewers(the actual name of them escapes me) and a burger with sweet potato fries. Some how our to go boxes got mixed up which mean that I was able to eat the rest of the burger and fries later that day so I can attest to them being worth another visit back to this place; with my significant other this time:)

I love this place, especially the brunch and have always had excellent service until today. I was surprised to find that it wasn’t that busy when we arrived for our 12:30 reservation. There were 5 in our party altogether. 3 had already been seated when my boyfriend and I arrived. Our server seemed a little brusque at first. Unfortunately, that’s how he was through the meal. He did his job and was attentive but he just seemed to have a bit on an attitude and rushed. I was weird. When our food was served two of us had to send our meals back because the food was cold(despite being told several times how hot the plates were and to be careful.). Our server checked in with us shortly after the food arrived and we let him know the food was cold. He took the cold food back and our new entrees were brought out in less than 10 minutes. The food was as delicious as I expected it to me. I’ve eaten here many times, enough to have expectations of the food and service. This is the first time they fell short. I hope it’s the last. The food was still great, the service was just lacking.

Great food, especially the lobster grilled cheese and the duck fries! I wish they had more than one location, columbia is a little far to make more frequent trips. Food is somewhat reasonably priced. However, i thought that the lobster sandwich came with the poutine fries for $ 7 more. The server didn’t notify me that it was actually just $ 7 more for duck fat fries and that the poutine was $ 17(do not remember the exact amount, but it was pretty high). Besides that service was pretty great.

My favorite brunch spot in Columbia. I have yet to be disappointed! I got the Victoria Eggs Benedict(bennie w/spinach, prosciutto, and lump crab over biscuits), Pineapple Upside Down cake for dessert(served warm and oh so yummy), and Breakfast with Eddie to drink. All amazing! I’ve also gotten the Challah French Toast in the past and highly recommend that too. Thanks to our server Niki G for the great service and recommendations :)

So let me start off by saying I have been to Victoria Gastro Pub on numerous occasions in the past but never took advantage of there beer Dinners. I was here for the Oskar Blues Beer Dinner. I came across this event through email and decided to finally take advantage of it. It’s also a little on the pricey side but everything was so worth it! The dinner price included the tax and gratuity so you were all set there. So they usually hold their events in a private room away from the regular diners. The room is pretty big with a small bar section where the servers usually stay. They keep in eye out on you to make sure you have everything you need. They set up the tables according to the size of your group. We had perfect seating for two. They started off with a glass of my favorite beer. Mama’s Little Yella Pils.. It was great! Next was the cheese and crackers, bread fruit Tray. Which again was very tasteful. That was buffet so you could pick and choose the items you wanted. Ok after that they bought out one of the appetizers. Omg wowee but to describe what l had next had me humming a tune, Shouting omg. It was pure de heaven! Yes do you hear what I’m saying. It was called Shrimp & Crab Gnudi. It was the best damn thing l have had in a long time! Mind you l am a seafood lover. I get my fair share of crab meat but l have to give it to the chef’s they made it do what it was supposed to do! Can l get a recipe pleazzzzz… Ok l lost myself for a moment but l’m back now. Now on with the review! Every meal was paired with a beer. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars because some of the beer did not suit my taste. I’m definitely not an IPA kind of gal but they worked with me. Maybe it was the frown on my face whenever tasting an IPA. .hahaha. They gave me a substitute of my mama’s Yella Pils whenever I desired and l really appreciated that. Next was the Roasted Pear. It was succulent, delightful, very tasty never had it like that before but it was very good! Next was the Roasted Quail. Very tender again succulent and l enjoyed every bite! By the time we got to the last course meal. I was stuffed silly. I had to take the rest for home. This was a very good event with someone from Oskar Blues Brewery describing each beer and how it pairs up with the food. They gave out a free beer glass, a tee shirt, hats which was a very nice perk. I would definitely be interested in this event some time in the future. Just would need to pass on the IPA beer. Overall very good event but if you ever attend make sure you skip on lunch or eat lightly because the meals are very satisfying :)

Came on a rainy Sat for lunch with one of my best gal pals. We love to troll for new cool, raved about and funky spots. I had the mushroom Rosti along with a shared order of the duck fat fries. It was all very good, and i was pleasantly surprised. The duck fat fries were different and i did not dislike the taste, but it is something to try. Definitely different. We also ordered the chocolate praline cake. The dessert was amazing. The service as regular and our waitress was nice. The restaurant setting is a dark, european pub style. My only complaint is the AC was high as crap & I was freezing the entire time.

Went here the morning of my friends wedding. Since we went for an early lunch, I wasn’t ready for a full-on burger(which are supposedly amazing). So instead I had the huevos rancheros. I am a big fan of huevos rancheros, and usually order it at every brunch spot I go to. These did not disappoint. The crispy outer shell was the perfect compliment to the eggs, sausage and everything else! The burgers looked really good, but they are known for their duck fat fries… which in my opinion were average. According to a friend who had been there before, «this time they weren’t as good as usual», so just a heads up. The charcuterie plate was also very nice. A lot more bread than meat though, so be aware!

The lobster grilled cheese and duck fat poutine fries are out of this world. The cocktail menu is extensive and has some creative craft drinks beyond those you would find at the local TGIFridays and usually have a good kick. I’ve never had bad service here and like the late night happy hour.

Sorry had to do it Victoria’s: a friend of mine was hosting her birthday here. She was told on the phone they couldn’t seat a party of 10 until 8pm, ok fine we all showed up early for drinks. After miscommunication between multiple hosts and the manager about whether we even had a reservation, we weren’t not even seated until almost 8:40pm… The manager kept letting us know the table prior had been sitting for 3 hours and they wouldn’t get up apparently, I’m not suggesting you kick out patrons after three hours have been up, but this is a late night pub people do like to hang out and have drinks. I would suggest for large parties you letting people know when they make reservations there is a limitation on how long they can hold the space, and that they are welcome to transfer to the bar. The manager did give our group three free appetizers, but still almost 40 minutes beyond a reservation time on a weeknight, that is bad! Based on this experience I cannot recommend Victorias for groups.

I’m finally leaving this place a review after coming here three times. Once for lunch, once for the bar, and once for dinner. All I have to say is wow… outstanding food and service! If it’s your first time coming here, you must try their duck fat fries! Their poutine dish is duck fat fries covered in cheese and duck. Absolutely delicious and amazing. Next on the must try list is their lobster grilled cheese. Real chunky pieces of lobster meat with cheese in two perfectly buttered and grilled slices of bread. Need I say more?! They have a very very wide selection of craft and seasonal beers. All and all, this place is rather one of the better restaurants in Columbia, MD. Typical pub environment with great service and awesome food. 5⁄5 stars for me and I will be coming back!

I loved this place during my first visit. The upscale ambiance, attentive servers, mouthwatering food and amazing beer selection. The only concern is limited vegetarian options in the entrée section. I went to this place for dinner after a business meet. We called in 2 days before for the reservation so we didn’t face the issue on getting the tables. Once we were there, the server attended us as soon as we were all sat and when I asked for the beer suggestions he pointed towards trying sour beer which later he brought in a small glass just for tasting(free of charge!). I didn’t like that so I decided to go with what two of my co-workers were having i.e. B. Nektar Kill All the Golfers and I loved it. For entrees I had Roasted Mushrooms & Papperadelle Pasta and I asked the server to add spinach to it and to make it less greasy and he managed to do so exactly. I loved the pasta. It was towards the sweet side but it was fresh and balanced. I would definitely go there to try all there beer selection!
