Average pork BBQ, decent sauces. Had the chopped pork and there were pretty large chunks of the bark(very thick) that should have been removed. Have something they call chip sandwich. Couldn’t figure out what all was in that. Good iced tea.

Not happy with last purchase. Would like to have some meat with my fat. Called up to voice my opinion young lady told me to bring the fat back to the restaurant so they could inspect it never again will I spend money on a plate full of fat. Totally dissatisfied.

They were super nice but… The BBQ was not great. Had the combo plate with 2 sides. Meat was dry and tough. Slaw was watery. Potato salad was good. Wanted to love this place as a local had recommended it, but I couldn’t. I don’t mind Carolina style sauce, but I do mind old dry tough meats. Sadness!

I gave it a 2 because the sides were decent and i respect locally owned businesses. I came into the restaurant and the cashier taking my order ignored me for 30 secs and did not smile or say hello. This is necessary for the bbq industry in Columbus, GA as it is so competitive. I got the pork plate, a side of slaw and a side of Brunswick stew. Slaw and stew were very good and the sweet tea was great. The pork… very dry. I basically was eating pork jerky. I dont know if it was because i came in after normal lunch hours? Also i noticed that they leave several pork butts on the pit to keep them warm. Well, that probably is also the reason that there pork is über dry. I ate some of it and decided to throw the rest away(almost the whole plate). I really do not complain much, but i am an avid bbqer myself and the only way meat turns out that bad is with lack of care and attention.

I’ve been to probably 100BBQ spots in the Southeast during my travels the last few years. In a recent business meaning in Phoenix City they wanted to take us to 13th Street Bar-Be-Que. We were told it was the best in town — and it might be, but it doesn’t compare to some the better chains in the South. Dreamland, Jim N Nick’s, the Little Dooey, etc, own it. Meanwhile, the BBQ here isn’t bad. In fact, it’s good, just not great. And, the service and staff couldn’t be more heartwarming and friendly. It feels like a true family operation, which comes with value. The staple seems to be the pork chop sandwich, which was pretty good. The other BBQ was good, not great. Some of the meat wasn’t as tender(was tough to even cut some of the meat) or tasteful as I’m used to and I didn’t finish my meal because of it, but it could be worse. I’d give it a 2.5 stars, but with that option not available, I raised it to a 3, because the sweet tea is good!

Was stationed there in the Army and am retiring there and can’t wait to have there ribs the best I’ve had from TX to GA. And the people are very nice and if you want to try something they will reach you a sample across at least the one in Ladonia, AL. Great sweet tea too.

I guess I’m used to South Carolina bbq. Bug chunks of fatty bbq is not my idea of good food.

After I graduated high school I moved away but every time I’m back in town this is at the top of the list of places to go. Amazing pork for great prices!

I went before closing to try this place out. Only 2 review but they were high so I was interested. I’m from Texas but like all types of BBQ(tx, tn, ga, Carolina, etc) if it is good moist and good flavor. The BBQ sauce was unique and mustard based. It wasn’t bad, also had a hickory one too which I liked the best. Ribs did not have a distinct flavor other than smoke. Chopped pork was delicious, with some hickory sauce. And the pork loin was ok. All in all the meet lacked it’s own pork flavor along with a rub flavor as well.

This place has awesome barbecue. My favorite item is the Porkchop Sandwich! Don’t worry about ordering other items along with this sandwich because it is HUGE! If you want to stealth in like a regular use the order lingo below. Order lingo: «porkchop sandwich, with, hot» Translation: Porkchop sandwich, with bbq slaw on it, and I want hot sauce on it.
