Gross gross gross. Food under a heat lamp. ‘Looks like a plate of slop’. Not enough Staff. Totally slammed. Wait was forever. Never again. Oh. They do have a good margarita. Only two redeeming things from this dinner were the margarita and the fact that the manager comped the food. Even gave us a $ 20 coupon for a future visit… that will NEVER happen.

Yeah, I’m not really feeling this place just yet. I guess I’ll have to try it a few more times but so far I’m not impressed. The portions are on the smaller side compared to most authentic Mexican restaurants. Of course I’m aware that this isn’t an authentic Mexican restaurant, but nothing my friend and I ordered seemed even remotely close to Mexican food. Not even sure I’d consider it Tex-Mex. We both got chicken burritos and tortilla soup — bland, bland bland! The only thing I actually enjoyed was the chips and salsa initially brought out by our server, who was a total sweetheart(I wish I remembered her name). Like I said, I’d have to try it a few more times but I’m not so sure I want to shell out the cash to do so. I thought it was a tiny bit pricier than your average Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurant.

I’ve had the avocado chicken burger and the smoked chicken salad. Even tho the burger made my stomach gurgle too much later the salad always fills me and is tasty and fresh.

Web site states they take reservations? I called and they don’t take reservations? Just call ahead seating? We have been here before

We love this place, especially the pineapple salsa. Usually I end up filling up on this and taking half of my meal home. The enchiladas are good, but they are a bit small, so I wouldn’t get fewer than 3(you can pick 2, 3, or 4). My husband gets the chicken fajitas, and there is always a lot of food in his meal. We go here almost every time we are on the mood for Mexican. The only negative for us has been that they seat us on the«heated» patio, but it really isn’t very warm.

We have been wanting to try this place for a while and decided to give it a shot. Wife ordered the chimichanga and I got the enchiladas. We both enjoyed it very much. The word that keeps coming to mind is «intense». The flavors were very strong and vibrant. Not just your usual bland Mexican dishes. We will return again. Also, our waitress was very prompt and helpful.

This place was the worst! The waitress was horribly rude and the food was terrible! I hate wasting money and this place was no exception.

I went there for happy hour margaritas. Our server, ________, messed up the prices of our orders but was more than accommodating. He was so nice. We gave him a nice tip. The margaritas were amazing! I can’t believe they were so affordable. We also got the stuffed mushrooms which were delectable. The manager came to check on us and even chatted for a bit. I can’t wait to go there again.

I love this place. It’s our go to whenever we are at Easton Towne Centre. Food is always delish and service is always good. Portions are always generous you’re not leaving here hungry.

The girls and I have eaten here more times than I’d like to admit. We’ve gotten to the point where we know some of the staff by name. Which is both embarrassing on our part, and awesome on theirs. We avoid the busier times, as our daughter is high functioning autistic and can’t handle super busy atmospheres. The staff is always accommodating and very friendly, even with all the spilled water and rice(babies, man). Depending on the day and time, the place ranges from SUPERPACKED to pretty dead. The service has never suffered from it. I’ve never felt rushed or pressure from the waitstaff to turn our table, which is crucial in my enjoyment. I’m a big eater and I ain’t TRYNA get a tummy ache. The food is always awesome. It’s not the best Tex-Mex you’ll ever have(this is Ohio), but it’s far from the worst. The kitchen staff is full of champions. The fact that they can churn out stellar food in such a short amount of time in a giant restaurant that’s at capacity more often than not is nothing short of sorcery. I’ve never had a bad experience at Abuelo’s… not once. There have been slip ups and there have been mistakes, but those can be counted on one hand. No restaurant is going to be perfect. The Abuelo’s staff are passionate and hard working; it shows in the food, and certainly shows in the service. It’s easy to see that when you’ve been working in the industry most of your adult life. They have always gone above and beyond to correct an issue no matter which party is at fault. It is definitely one of the better places to eat at Easton. We will most certainly keep coming here on the regular. PS the bathrooms are CLEAN

I have never been disappointed with Abuelo’s. The food always comes quick, even during busy times, and is always delicious. The atmosphere is very original, as well as versatile; you can go there for a special occasion, a simple casual dinner, or after shopping at Easton. The service is awesome. My last server found out I’m vegetarian and was very informative — told me up front that their retried beans are cooked with pork and that the rice is cooked in chicken stock, so offered the cilantro rice as an alternative. Priced very well considering the pleasant atmosphere and the large amounts of food served. Lastly, if not most importantly, THEDESSERTS. The tres leches cake is AMAZING. It’s literally divinity in your mouth. Soooooo good. Try it!!!

I’ve had a few dinners here in the past few years, and came again last week. We were at Easton for a wine tasting that didn’t happen due to a crowded bar at another restaurant. We got a table immediately here and had great service. My fish tacos were very good, but I’m not sure I would order again only because they were spicier than I like. I’ve had the queso diablo before, which is fabulous, but we skipped it this time. The table kiosk was new to us, and apparently you can play trivia, and order dessert on it. The highlight was being able to pay our bill by swiping the card(see photo). It is unique and so convenient. The restaurant itself is very pretty, and comfortable. It’s one of the better places to eat at Easton.

Came here for lunch with my other half and my son. We started with chips and three different salsas. I liked the green one which has a slight sweet taste and I like the regular salsa. The chips are really thin and light but because they are so thin they break when you dip them which is aggravating. I ordered the lunch portion of the chicken fajita tacos with their chili papas frites and re fried beans. My hubby ordered the chicken chimichanga with the chili papas frites and retried beans. My tacos were bland tasting as I was expecting them to taste more like fajitas and the chicken was bland as if not seasoned much. They had tomato lettuce and cheese. However the frites was very good I loved the seasoning and how smooth they were. The beans tasted like they came out of a can and nothing to get excited about. Our service was very fast and good. I wouldn’t go out of way to eat here but if I was craving Mexican and was in the area I’d eat here.

This is a really solid Tex-Mex joint, every time I’ve been here it has been consistently good food & service with exceptional margaritas — my fav is the Agave Margarita though the Platinum Margarita comes in a close second; I’m a rita lush, don’t judge. The décor is inviting with an open & airy atmosphere creating a nice ambiance for dinner/drinks. Negative: the food seems to be ‘Americanized’ in both flavor & presentation which doesn’t suggest authentic; Positive: portion sizes are enormous, as in a few of the combo platters come out on plates that take over half the damn table.

Food and service is good. I have it 4 stars cause it’s not great. They bring out 3 types of salsa that I loved so that’s a plus. They have a yummy cheesy potato option instead of rice which is nice though odd at a mexican restaurant.

After a long day of shopping I needed some a food and a few cocktails… The place is beautiful, wow I was impressed! We decided to walk over to the bar and have a seat since no one was sitting there and no need to take up a table. It took about 4 minutes for her to notice us and come over. Seemed odd given the fact it mid afternoon and they weren’t busy by no means. Although that’s typically when tables get neglected, because servers have to much down time. Once she arrived we ordered a few cocktails while we looked over the menu. Will say drinks were weak and their sour mix for their margaritas are crappie. I love a good margarita and after a long day of shopping I needed it regardless so I drank it. Bartender gave us some chips and salsa while we continued to look over menu. I did ask her what she recommend and I decided to go with her second choice the durango burrito because fajitas are the same where ever you go. We ordered some jalapeño poppers to munch on while our food was prepared. Once our food arrived it was hot and very good portions. I must say the meal itself was good but very salty, I recommend the chef cut back some on the salt. Overall I can’t complain, I went in hungry and thirsty and left not hungry nor thirsty. So it was a success story.

Tilapia Vera Cruz lunch size wasn’t extraordinary but was satisfying. It says served with tomatoes, pablano peppers, and olives, but it was more of a tomato sauce covering the proteins. I like olives, but don’t know if the whole green olives fit with the dish. There were only a few smallish shrimp and a few small bay scallops, but the price was only $ 11.95 for the meal if I recall correctly. My tea cost another $ 2.50. The side of veggies were nicely cooked and my favorite part of the dish was the cilantro lime rice. Service was average. There were about 10 of us having conversation so the server didn’t intrude, but my drink sat empty for a while. It would have been nice for him to offer refills of the free chips and salsa while we were waiting.

Arrived and quoted 25 minute wait. No problem, had a seat near the bar to have chips and a drink. Our table was available after only 7 – 8 minutes, great! Bartender/server was very unhappy to have hauled out water and chips only to have us move. Oh well… Food was fast food quality. It was like Taco Bell with better sauce. Black beans were hard, undercooked. Server was inattentive and rude. Maybe there are better options than the two enchiladas I had but I’ll never know because I’m not going back. I actually think going to Taco Bell would have been a better choice.

I’ve been here a few times now and I’m pretty impressed with this place. First of all the interior is quite beautiful. It’s also very large. I’ve tried the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer and oh my goodness, it’s just about one of the best(and no doubt unhealthy) things I’ve ever eaten. Wow! The service each time we’ve been there has been fast, friendly and efficient. Enchiladas are their specialty but you really cannot go wrong with ordering from just about anything on their menu from what I’ve found so far. Not a real big fan of the way they bring the various salsas out but then we spent more time with the 7 layer dip anyways(which is delicious btw) so it wasn’t a huge deal. The chips are hot and crisp and taste pretty good. All in all this place is very impressive. They could make a more traditional salsa as well and maybe have a bit lower prices but that’s about the only criticisms I can find. This place comes highly recommended anytime you’re in the Easton area and are in the mood for some high quality Mexican eating.
