The first thing you should know is that I eat pizza. A lot. Like, embarrassingly frequently. And I’ll try any kind. With that being said, B&B is my favorite pizza in the world. B&B has a thin, chewy crust(although I do believe they have thicker options), deliciously tangy sauce and really good toppings that are really piled on. Their house salad is so, so good. You might want to order the dressing on the side if you’re calorie conscious, because they really load it up. We didn’t stray too much from salad and pizza, but everything we’ve tried has been great. The employees are friendly and lovably sarcastic once you get to know them. My husband and I ordered pickup once a week over the few years we lived in the area, and I’d barely say«hello» when placing pick-up calls when they’d ask if it was our regular order. It’s not fancy, but it is delicious. Trust me on this one!

I love this place. I have been going here for the last 6 years but recently found out this is the same place my parents frequented over 30yrs ago when they lived in this area. The people are always nice and the atmosphere is fun… if you hit it at the right times. I usually get their pizza which is pretty good. They go light on the sauce and heavy on the toppings! I have had the lasagna dinner… very tasty. Also the bread sticks w/garlic n chz are the bomb! The spaghetti dinner is enough to feed 2 – 3 people! The final touch for me is they sell Yuengling!

It was a rainy November evening, a Sunday in fact, and B and B’s Pizza and Spaghetti was the only pizza place in my neck of the woods that was not«corporate» and that was«open and delivering» to my address. I called the number, and the gentlemen on the phone was pleasant. I then ordered a large Hawaiian pizza. I wanted mushrooms too, but when I asked if they were canned or fresh, I got the forbidden«canned». Canned mushrooms on a pizza is a big no no for me. Anyway, they did not take cards over the phone, and they would only accept cash for the delivery, plus a $ 2.75 delivery charge. Ran to the ATM, cause pizza sounded good and it was worth it. The order was said to take about 40 minutes. The pizza man came to the front steps, and the pizza came in a cardboard box. I would say the delivery was right on time, maybe 5 minutes late at most. AWESOME!!! And the pizza man didn’t have exact change, but I tipped him anyway, so it worked out. Cardboard box opened while watching roller derby documentary: Pizza crust: Meh, it was pretty bland. But it was crunchy and not too thick, not too thin. Very homemade like but not much flavor. Toppings: Good, the pizza toppings were not too much, not too little. I would say the level was more on the abundant side. The cheese wasn’t really melty/stringy, it must have cooled off quite a bit on the ride over? The pizza was good, it wasn’t the best, but I did like it. I would consider getting their pizza again, but I won’t stop trying other ma and pa places in the mean time. At least I know that B and B’s is open on Sunday evenings.

After searching for a new mom and pop pizza shop in my area I ran across this place. It’s an established business in a not-so-great neighborhood. It has little curb appeal and less parking and if you blink, or look at the gas prices across the street at the U.D.F., you’ll miss it. With that being said, entering the eatery is like stepping into a movie set. The dining area is tucked away in the back and you find yourself looking around for a «goodfella’» named Tony doing business with his bookies and digging into a huge bowl of spaghetti. The service is prompt if not polished so don’t be expecting them to wish you a nice day. The prices are average if a bit high for a comparable meal elsewhere and I was unable to score any coupons. I ordered the large pizza(14″ which is the largest size they offer so you’ll have to order more than one if you have more than 3 – 4 people) with pepperoni, sausage, and extra cheese, an order of garlic bread with cheese, and their version of an Italian sub. It’s pretty hard to mess up garlic bread with or without cheese and here it was no exception. It was garlic bread… with…ummmm…cheese…yeah. My only thought on it was that at $ 4.50 it should have come with a small soufflé cup of marinara or pizza sauce for dipping. Other than that it was on par with anything in the area. A 9″ sub bun split in half then cut into four pieces on each side.
I waited to rate the bread on the garlic bread until I got to the sub. Since it’s the same bread I figured critiquing it twice would be redundant. IT has a nice outside shell which DOES get crisp in the oven and develops a nice airy pocket inside. It comes across as light and flaky at first but by the time you finish the sub it all compacts down into the crust. Still it’s quite tasty and contains the sandwich toppings without effort. As with the garlic bread it isn’t really what I would call a marquis item. It has the basic staples of any Italian sub. Stick pepperoni and salami, probably sliced in the store, and an average deli ham product topped with chopped iceberg lettuce and sliced tomatoes with a smattering of banana peppers and a dash of generic restaurant style Italian dressing. All-in-all a disappointment at $ 6.25 for a 9″ sub. Do yourself a favor if you order takeout and have some sliced red onions, some green leaf or romaine lettuce and a red wine vinaigrette to add to it when you get home. Now for the pizza. Being the flagship of the business’ offerings it bore most of the weight of my scrutiny. The pepperoni used was phenomenal and curled perfectly. It was just right for a hand tossed/thin crust pizza like they offer. The sausage was the crumbly type. I was a bit surprised at that but it wasn’t bad mixed with the pep. The major benefit to that type of sausage though is that you get a little bit of it in every bite which makes up for the odd or absent texture. The cheese is a typical pizza blend and has a sufficient gooey factor to make any pizza lover gush. It does come across as a bit bland though. The sauce was actually really good. It was sweet without being vinegary and had enough tang to tongue tantalize. The moisture was perfect and it absorbed the flavors and grease from the cheese and meats perfectly just adding to its savory charm. No, you can’t find it in stores and you DEFINITELY won’t find it at the likes of Donatos, Papa John’s, or Pizza Hut. The dough was perfect texturally. It was light and flaky on top and crispy on the bottom. Just the right amount of crunch vs. chewy. My only complaint is the lack of salt. When taking it with the cheese it left the palate wanting. If ordering it for takeout you can solve that with a sprinkle of Romano/Parmesan mix when you get home. With all factors considered I still gave this eatery a favorable rating. Is it my new favorite pizza place? No. The location is terrible and the premises are rundown without the small neighborhood charm to balance it, the side items such as subs and garlic bread seem like afterthoughts, and it was just too pricey for an establishment offering run-of-the-mill products. The pizza was better than any of the chains and better than the average mom and pop but not outstanding. It does have a nice atmosphere once inside and I can see having a small get together with friends for a pitcher of beer and some good times over decent food when the urge to look for Tony or the other Goodfella’s overtakes me.

This is not the most fancy place in the world but who wants fancy when you just want good pizza? Not me! The pizza has a thinnish crust that is a bit crispy without being to much like a cracker. It is that perfect combo dough. The toppings fall in the«not to much, Not to little» category. When I want pizza, I pick this place.

So I’ve been on a random cheese pizza kick for about a month. B&B’s version is pretty much the best thing ever(and all other pies I’ve had). The crust is super light and crispy. They also deliver & serve beer and always serve us a dash of down-home sass on the phone. I like them. A lot.

This place is mostly known for pizza but they also serve spaghetti and it’s not too bad. I can recall taking my wife and kids here 25 yrs ago and my next door neighbor used to come down a few times a week and buy a large pizza just for himself(I don’t know how he managed to eat it all). They do have eat-in seating and beer by the bottle.
