This place is a gold mine for RC hobbyists. They have a full stock of car and truck kits, quadcopters, planes and helis. Plus they have an excellent selection of parts I need to fuel my expensive hobbies. Since I discovered this place earlier this year, I’ve been a regular customer. The staff is really friendly too, and knowledgable to boot. The location is a little off the path, but you get used to it after a while. Highly recommended

In summary. Poor advice(at best) — didn’t listen to my needs — sold me a product I did not need — would not let me return the product. Avoid this store! They use to sell DJ gear. Now they sell toys. That won’t last long either with their level of customer service(or lack thereof). They were more worried about their bottom line than a customer. The Scoop — Went there looking for an autonomous video drone for videography and I was willing to spend up to $ 1K. I was told that it didn’t exist and that I would need to learn how to fly a drone first. They wanted to sell me a $ 100 starter quadrocopter, I opted for the cheaper $ 60 version. The next day, after heavy research, I found what I was looking for at good old Best Buy called the Bebop by Parrot. It is autonomous and you do not need to be a pilot to fly and film with it. One day later I went to return the drone to Cyclone Hobbies and was met with nothing but negativity and excuses. Apparently I was dealing with one of the owners which made sense because. He first told me he couldn’t sell a product I opened even if I was sold it when I didn’t need it. He then told me he couldn’t sell a used drone. And he told me the second drone I purchased sucked, when in fact, it exceeded my needs and expectations. He then told me he could order what I purchased(after saying it sucked). And then he refused to return the drone he sold me. I told him that if he would have pointed me in the right direction based upon my drone needs and requirements then we wouldn’t be in this situation but instead he wanted to make a sale. I did not need to learn how to fly. I need to film. He insisted that what I bought sucked and would break. He then went to fly my returnable drone and one of the propellers was stiff but it still flew. He told me that that I broke it and the motor innards were going bad and would die in a month. Sounds like poor quality for something I used for 20 minutes over 3 days. So, it turns out that what he sold me sucked and broke. How ironic. Thankfully I purchased the $ 60 one and not the $ 100 drone that they were pushing(which I am sure their profit margin is higher on). I then told him to keep his drone he sold me, which was worthless to me and that next time they should try to advise their customers properly versus selling a product that customers do not need. He looked shocked that I was going to leave the drone without a refund and then told me I should take it and at least play with it. Wait… is it broken or am I crazy for leaving it. This guy just can’t get his story straight. None the less, I left it. I bet another $ 60 that they either; sold it as used — fixed it and sold it — or salvaged all the parts they could from it. The best part was that at first, he went through the whole box looking for something wrong or missing. He pulled every piece that came with it out of the box in attempt to not refund me my money. Well, I accidentally put my E cigarette charger in the box. Guess what? He didn’t notice that. This is just another example of how this company is all about themselves and not their customers. Well he can keep that too because I will never be back to Cyclone Hobbies Either way… AVOIDCYCLONEHOBBIES.

I wanted to comment on their staff who really went out of their way to get me on the right track with my r/c plane repair.
