Love these girls! My entire family goes here and the staff all have their own unique talents. It’s refreshing to see so many girls getting along so well.

I have been going to Bliss since I was 7 and have never wanted to go anywhere else. Until now! This salon was amazing when the previous owner ran it. I never worried about getting a terrible hair cut or what horrible things my stylist might do to my hair. The stylist who cut my hair today could not be a licensed stylist, not the way she cut my hair. It was noticeably uneven and choppy. My bangs were cut so short and uneven it looked like a child lopped them off with safety scissors. She did not style my hair but held a blow dryer over it until it was half dry, then called it a day. When I went to complain, crying my eyes out in horror, I was treated as though I was being difficult and bothersome. The manager told me I chair hop a lot as if it were an excuse for my extremely horrible haircut. They put me with another stylist to rectify this situation, but this stylist took 5 minute, snipped a bit here and there and called it a day too. She did not care. Because of my dissatisfaction, they comped the haircut, but the damage was done. I left defeated and so unset. Crying in my car I stopped at the nearest salon I could find and told my story to them. This stylist looked at me and asked if I tried to cut my own hair. When I told him I had it cut at bliss he told me I was not the first customer he’s had to fix from bliss. I completely agree, that place has gone down hill and is no longer a place of Quality. I will never go back again.

After five years away from this salon and the Columbus/Fort Benning area, I tried it again in their new location. It’s beautiful and very modern but sadly the salon has gone down hill. In the time I was gone the old owner sold the salon to a new owner. Ironically, I heard the same complaints about this owner from the stylist that I would hear when the old owner was still running the salon. Truthfully, I was shocked this gentleman was still at the salon. The good news is they no longer have clothes in the reception area. Why a hair salon was selling clothes was beyond me. I was never a fan of their in-house hair products and would purchase Aveda. They advertise as an Aveda salon yet the products were never recommended to me. I saw recently on their Facebook page that they are no longer carrying their old in-house brand but will now have the products created for an Atlanta salon. Why not Aveda or another national brand that people know and trust? Today, I saw they now have a television in the drying area. I go to get my hair done to enjoy some me time as well as peace and quiet. I don’t want a television blaring at me while my hair is cooking. While we have three more years in Columbus, I will be looking for a new salon.
