Three big things for restaurants to keep me coming back: good food, good service, clean tables, utensils and floors. While the wait staff was pleasant at this location, the food took a long time to come out. When I received my breakfast, the hash browns came burnt and there were half as many of them as there was supposed to be. I noticed two other tables sending their plates back do the kitchen, so the issues weren’t just with me. The patrons could also hear the cook in the back clearly cussing and complaining, at one point telling the wait staff, «if you want it so bad then get the eF back here and make it your GD self.» In the meantime, I’m noticing the manager and other guys standing around, chatting with each other, smiling. Outside of dealing with the obvious poblem with the cook, they could have been mopping floors as they felt like someone poured a bottle of syrup on them. At the end of the day, people not coming back costs Bevans$$…and ultimately jobs and increases in pay for everyone… so, it’s simple… DOYOURJOB! I just felt bad for the waitresses because all that nonsense in the kitchen I’m sure affects the tips they rely on.

Not sure what some of the other reviewers beef with this location is… it’s one of the better Bob Evans. It’s always clean when I go, the wait staff are friendly and quick and it’s rarely crowded unlike the one in Whitehall/Town and Country.

Slow service. Bad service… it takes a half hour before somebody gonna showed up to get ur order … We almost choked coz even the drinks refill is so slow. Manager don’t care!.. And they’re not even busy! I love bob Evans but not this location anymore !

I was there about 8am on a Tuesday — 3 adults, 4 kids. The service wasn’t great — after we got our drinks it took awhile before the server came back for our food order. The food took FOREVER — I’m not sure why, the place was half empty and we didn’t have complicated orders. Once she delivered the food, I don’t think the server ever came back to check on us. But at least the food good when it finally arrived. They may have better service later in the day, but it definitely wasn’t good when we were there.

Sunday, Mother’s Day, 8:50AM SEVENWORDS: Prompt /Attentive /Efficient /Welcoming /Comfort Food /Satisfied Maybe it was luck, but probably not. We arrived at 8:50 am on Mother’s Day — the waiting area was empty except for a group ahead of us — of 7 people. Our Group? 11 people. Still, we were seated in 25 minutes, behind a couple of pairs and a set of three plus the group of 7. That’s pretty fast — considering Bob Evans has NO6-top tables — which means they arranged to get 3 – 4 tables together in such a short time. Our server came out and took the drink orders, with multiple orders coming from every coffee dinker, extra lemoons, sides of 2%, Skim, and Vanilla. She returned, with two helpers, in five minutes, got all the drinks out and took our food orders. Next, she returned with biscuits, breads, and other breakfast sides while we waited for our entrees to cook. Those arrived soon after — approximately 10 minutes. We had pancakes, egg orders, biscuits and gravy, the breakfast sampler, and so on. Everyone commented on how good(and how fast) the food arrived. The server was fantastic. SIMPLYFANTASTIC. We were actually headed to Cincinnati the same day — and we were wrapped up and on the road by 10:17 — just over 90 minutes to put our names in for a VERYLARGE group on the BUSIEST restaurant day, getting our orders placed, cooked, served, and paying our bill. I don’t normally think service should effect a restaurant’s review — it’s usually the timing or the individual server who makes that difference. However, with such a large group on such a busy day — this is a management-driven piece of work. That’s why I can easily give this 5 stars and HIGHLYRECOMMEND Bob Evans at McNaughten and Main to anyone wanting a great breakfast.

The other reviewers must have visited a completely different restaurant! Have hoped multiple times to get decent service/food. Ain’t happenin’! Won’t be going back, will eat at home first! Service is appalling. Have waited for 20 minutes when there was NOONEELSE there and still not even had our orders taken. Have had a waitperson quit in the middle of serving the area. Food is at best warm… not hot and usually an incorrect order brought out. Needs a major adjustment in training and customer service. Maybe someone else will benefit, but we certainly won’t! The shame of it all is that we live two blocks away.

I like Bob Evans but don’t think will go back to this one. I understand when a Resturant is busy but there is no reason for people to have to wait long periods when there are empty tables. We waited 5 min before the hostess took our name we waited 15 mins to get seated. There were at least 3 tables that need to be cleaned. Plus several empty tables. They were still waiting when we left. The people behind us flagged the hostess down and asked to speak to the manager she went to get him and told them it would be a little while. It was about 3 mins before he came. They told him they were tired of waiting for their food when they could see sitting on the counter for at least 10 mins. The manager served them their food and told them he owed them a biscuit and did they still want it. Really? No one ever came to their table before or after this to check on them. They finally flagged someone down and asked for the check. My opinion is the manager should have comped their meal. Our waitress was awesome. She has just come on shift and really did a great job. There were two managers there and neither of them were on the floor helping as a good manager should do, it was busy but the managers did not try to help alleviate the situation.
