This is, by far, the worst Bob Evans I have ever been to. I always order carry out online and at least an hour in advance so I can pop in and pick up dinner on my way home. Each time I’ve gone in to pick up my order, all the employees(and the manager) are standing around chit-chatting and my order has not even been put together. The last time I ordered carry out, it was A LARGESOUP. I mean, how hard is that? At any rate, when I went in to pick it up, the girl at the counter told me they were out and had to make more so it would be a little bit. Are you kidding? You couldn’t heat up some soup in the hour after I put in my order? At any rate, I won’t be going to this Bob Evans again. Just plain BADSERVICE.

We went to the Bob Evans at Crosswoods. I like Bob Evans restaurants in general but the Crosswords location left us disappointed. I had the South of the Border omelette and my husband had the steak and eggs with hash browns. I’ve had the omelet at other Bob Evans and it was always good. This one was so so. The big problem though was with my husband’s steak. He ordered medium done. As he put it if he wanted it raw he would have gone into the pasture and shot the cow himself! The steak was burnt on the outside and red and bloody on the inside. The blood got all over the plate and the eggs. It really was kinda yucky. So he gave the steak & eggs to the waitress(He ate the hashbrowns first). The manager took the meal off the receipt but the funny thing is they actually charged him $ 4 bucks for the hash browns. Kind of comical. Yeah, he did eat those but I would have thought as good customer service that they would have simply taken off the entire meal price instead of partial, but hey. On the positive side, we did have a good waitress.

I normally would not take a chance when I see 2 stars or so because Unilocal is generally spot on the reviews, but not the case here. I was served by a gal by the name of Trisha and I felt like a VIP! I was there for breakfast and she kept the hot coffee coming along with getting my breakfast in a timely manner. Everything was hot and Trisha was amazing. If you are there during the breakfast hours, I highly recommend you ask for Trisha. You will recognize her Boston accent. Enjoy.

Terrible execution! We were expecting a long wait on Sun after game day, so we were patient with the wait and the staff. After waiting 20 minutes to be seated we ordered food. Almost an hour after ordering food we were told our order was still coming. This wouldn’t have pissed us off had they not already served food to everyone around us who sat and ordered after us. We asked to have the meals boxed. While waiting for the meals to be boxed, which was done by the cashier(apologetic and patient), we were given the bill. We gave the waitress 20% because she had been slammed throughout our entire experience and because that’s just what we do. However, we became frustrated because the cashier and waitress did not offer to cover any portion or all of the meal. Even though we frequent this location when in CBUS, we’re extremely disappointed and won’t in the future. It’s a shame, because our party commented to each other how the manger took pride in making sure tables were«spotless» before seating guests and took an interest in making sure to let everyone waiting know that they would be taken care of in a timely manner.

The service here is absolutely terrible. We were told there was a 10 – 20 minute wait. No big deal. Ended up being 45+ minutes before we sat down. Once we sat down, nobody came up to us. 10 minutes later, a manager stopped by and took our orders. After placing our orders, time again went by for far too long. A waitress stopped by after awhile and asked what we had ordered. She came back with our food 5 minutes later. We had to ask the manager for our check. He didn’t bother being apologetic or thanking us for our business or anything. Didn’t bother leaving a tip — who would it go to anyways? This place is a zoo on Sundays but other places handle the crowd much, much better. Go to Scrambler Marie’s if you want a good breakfast with great service. Stay away from Bob’s.

the worst bob Evans experience my family has ever had. took 20 minutes for anyone to even come for drink orders(after having to call someone over, might I add). finally ordered, despite being ordered to certain specifications we still received items completely wrong(as did the table next to us). Took us another 15 minutes to even receive the proper food we had ordered. Absolutely dreadful and we will never be returning again.

I ordered a potato soup and a regular salad. Soup was bland and looked plain gross. It’ tasted like velveeta cheese and milk. The potato chunks were hard. The salad was good. I ordered online for a 1:30pm pickup and was out of the door by 1:41 because no one had even started my order. Why even order online?

Food is good, consistent with most Bob Evans, however according to Unilocal the hours of operation say they open at 6am. They open at 7am so if you are staying in any of the hotels behind here you will wait for it to open.

Food is good… Turkey dinner with all the trimmings is the best… Very helpful staff… Tried the blackened steak and it was a bit over done… They replaced it quick and it was done perfectly… The steak is on the small side… Overall a nice friendly place…

I’m happy I didn’t read the negative reviews before we ate here. The service was excellent! Ask for Dayna. The sampler bargain breakfast is too much to eat, which is bad for me because I wanted to eat all the yummy ingredients l prefer for breakfast: perfectly cooked over easy egg, yeah!-grits, bacon, biscuits(all for $ 5.99) and a pot of coffee. My friend had a pile of pancakes smothered with all kinds of unmentionables including drizzling frosting. The food was better than expected– no complaints only compliments. I’d give it 5 stars except I reserve those for fancy and exceptional experiences.

As I was walking over, I Unilocaled it and thought« Unilocalers are so critical of chains. There’s no way it’s any worse than any other Bob Evans.» Well, I’m sorry for not giving you enough credit, fellow Unilocalers. This was a very sub par experience. From the caramel cappuccino that had no caramel and tasted of fruit(the first one even came with some reddish syrup on the cup, giving credence to the claim) to the tiny portion of burnt hash browns I could barely stomach after smothering in Tabasco and ketchup, and the smaller and harder than usual biscuits, this Bob Evans earns its two star rating, I’ll give them that. The demanding yuppie across from me who wouldn’t stop nitpicking every detail didn’t help matters, but can’t blame Bob for that. The only saving grace was Selena, a teenage would-rather-be-anywhere-else host who’s disinterest and slack was a joy to behold. My server wasn’t bad either but she did serve me the mystery drink twice. Sadly, I might be back just due to sheer proximity. I think that’s their secret.

We love Bob’s for our family’s comfort food fix, but unfortunately the service and attention to detail at this location is always lacking. We’ve brought our disappointment to the management’s attention each and every time without improvement. It’s a shame because it’s the closest Bob’s to our office.

I decided to give«Bob’s» one more try. Unfortunately nothing has changed, service was average, the food sucked and I won’t return. Specifically, the pancakes were rubbery, the whipped cream was sickeningly sweet and the omlet was over cooked while the potatoes were undercooked and crunchy. My husband reports that the orange juice was watery. I dont recommend this chain.

Do NOT order steak here. Quote from the waiter«we have steak on the menu but we aren’t a steakhouse». Meat is pressed, ambiance is crappy, service is below average. Their biscuits are ok I guess? Doesn’t make it worth your time or money.

Had a very bad experience at dinner. The waitress up-sized my entrée(and the price) with out asking me). M wife’s pot roast was very, very greasy. We had to request silverware and our bread basket was presented without bread plates. When we did get plates one of them was dirty.

I am not a breakfast food person, but LOVE the sunshine skillet. I love coming to this location after a hard night’s work, have a meal to help wind down, and have a good social time. This seems to be a younger crowd than other locations I have been to. During generic breakfast hours, they still have a limited lunch menu — ie: you can have a burger and fries, but soup isn’t quite available. Service is great, and they allow you to stay and gossip for as long as you like ;-)

This may have been my second worst Bob Evans experience. They were busy on a recent Ohio State game day. Our server clearly didn’t want our extra table as there was confusion as to who would take our table. It’s tough on a server when thrown extra tables, but geesh never let the customer know that. The food came at awkward times. Condiments delivered with appetizers that were meant for the entrée. Entrée orders that were delivered messed up, and a bill that was even worse. Overall, just a bad experience at this Bob Evans, on this day with this server.

This BE’s just got remodeled a couple weeks ago with new dark wood tables and highlights plus an expanded retail counter for baked goods and other BE’s crud. I have to start this with I have always enjoyed Bob’s in the past but, not this location on this trip or other times I have been here. Starting off I stood waiting with another gent waiting for the hostess to return to her station while she was off doing whatever except hosting. From the time I sat down at the counter that was only partially cleaned or bussed I never saw this hostess remain at her station even while people kept coming in to be seated(and had to wait). This place was obviously understaffed during dinnertime(6:30 p when I was there) and I saw waitstaff trying to divide the work between many tables and not doing a great job. After waiting another 5 minutes my waitier finally showed up at the counter to take my drink order and my dinner order. During my meal my drink often went dry and the spots next to me were never bussed or cleaned off. I will say it didn’t take long for my sammich and fries to show, both were adequate but the coleslaw came in a small bowl half filled with slaw and swimming in dressing. I have noticed that prices at BE’s have gone up without a change in food or service so I can’t see myself becoming a regular patron at this location or others at this point. Sammich, Fries, Slaw with a cuppa soup($ 2.79 for this alone) and a iced tea made it close to 15 bucks. I can find better service, food and prices up the road at Frischs Big Boy and other places around Cbus. I think they should have saved their money on the remodel and spent it on service training, I won’t go back to this location again, this is the fourth strike-out at here and I should have learned better. PS: Never could connect with the new wifi here, don’t know if you need a password but I couldn’t get an answer out of the few times I saw my server and didn’t see any info on the menu.
