Buckeyes Express Chicken & Fish

Excellent chicken, much better now that it is not a popeyes. Same owner as before when it was a popeyes though. Their chicken is cooked way better now that they are not restricted by the franchises cooking methods. And the side options are much better as well. The biscuits taste better too. I like to get their food catered for my holidays.

This was a great place to eat. The staff was very friendly and the owner was great and provided us everything as needed. The chicken was very good quality, on par with other major fast food fried chicken chains. They have a great variety of sides and dishes. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves fried chicken.

They have a deal to bring you in that basically copies Popeye’s marketing tactics on Tuesdays you can go in and get a leg and thigh for 1.49. The deal is a good way for you to feel safe coming in and trying it out and it worked with me. My guy and I went in tonight and we both got the deal plus a side, he got mashed taters and I got onion rings. We chose to go inside and eat there. We stood there and scoped the menu while the cashier did that awkward «I am going to stare at you till you order.» thing. Their sides are 1.79 for small and 3.79 for large and I can say this the sides are very small and please take my word for it the mashed potatoes and gravy (brown gravy with chicken what???) the mashed taters are for sure instant with no flavor at all and the portion is real small, but they were so tasteless and weird we didn’t bother eating it all anyway. The onion rings were my favorite, but still for 1.79 you only get like 6 onion rings at best, but they were tasty and crisp. The chicken can’t touch places such as KFC and Popeye’s it’s crispy, but there isn’t much flavor and Steve felt the chicken was rubbery and I was picking fat off of mine.
So pretty much I would eat here in a pinch, but would never ever order the mashed taters and I would not go out of my way to eat here.

Very greasy chicken an it taste like it was old and and the side dishes are very nasty I will not go back again plus way overpriced!
