Good lord this place is delicious. Kids menu is good, and our server hooked us up with non-butter drenched steamed veggies with no trouble whatsoever. My bolognese was fantastic and R’s chicky chicky parm parm was really good too. The cannoli were fantastic as well, and the service was excellent if perhaps just a bit slow; while waiting for our check the hostess could apparently sense when our 2 year old was going to start acting like a two year old and brought her a free cookie to simmer her down. The only downside is the cost; for $ 15 I was hoping for just a bit more, but it was so good I’m not going to complain too much. Tuesday and Wednesday night kids eat free, so I’ll see you guys there.

The food was decent, nothing spectacular, but I would eat here again. It was very clean, and the wait staff was very attentive. Our food came out quickly, and everything was as we requested.

Wonderful place to go with family for a home made Italian cuisine! Their grilled wings were a nice touch with caprese salad. Large portion entrees. The only critiques were that veal tasted more like chicken and service was slow. However, server dani was super friendly and hospital.

Best restaurant to take children — but also a nice place to dine on date night! We go at least once or twice a month and never had a bad experience! It’s a nice small family owned restaurant and their food is amazing! I’ve had everything from pizza to carbonara to fettuccini Alfredo and it’s so good! You can customize your sauces, noodles, etc. any recipe they can make to your taste! Prices are great too — very reasonable! Monday through Wednesday kids eat free!

Literally the best Italian meal since my grandmother. If you’re trying to get your fix of carbs, come here. If you’re trying to put yourself into a food coma, come here. If you’re a roll enthusiast, come here. You won’t be disappointed.

The Polaris Brio had a 2-hour wait on my girlfriend’s birthday three years ago but that was her favorite restaurant(then) so it took me about 20 minutes to convince her to try someplace new. Carfagna’s Kitchen was closeby and sounded good, and now it is frequently where we go when she gets to pick. We have not been back to Brio… and that experience has helped me to convince her to try other new places. The food is really good, relaxed atmosphere, and very family friendly.

I absolutely Carfagna’s sauce. That is probably the main thing that makes this place consistently one of my favorites. Although there are dishes I like more than others(amazing calzones!), I’ve never had anything here that I regretted trying. The service is very friendly, too. I feel like this is one of those rare places where you just can’t go wrong — every time I’ve eaten here it’s been a good experience. And every time I’ve brought friends or family here, they have all loved it.

So once again we go there because we like the food, five of us last night, they were busy, get seated and nobody comes to the table for about7 minutes or more for even drinks. Young waiter comes over finally and takes table order. Salads and soup finally come, runner doesn’t get full order missing a salad, dumping quarter of soup on his tray and not offering to bring full one back. Meals finally arrive and wife’s was wrong order. He thought he heard extra sauce, but she actually said a type of sauce! So she waits while we start eating so ours doesn’t get cold. With a scatter service offered, any waiter or waitress should recognize empty drinks, we had to ask for them. Food tasty as always, but this new style of service offered slows down the whole experience. the self order and service set up before was so much faster to get your food. Go to any Deweys pizza in town and see how scattered service should be done seamlessly… one star for food only this time.

I can’t believe this place doesn’t have higher ratings. It is not a fancy high class Italian place. It is however affordable and very good for what you pay for. I love their sauce and they serve large portions.

First let me say I don’t give 5 stars unless the meal is so good, I lapse into a food induced coma and the meal is free. And now that they have a server come to the table rather than me having to stand at a counter to order, I’m going to be a more frequent visitor. Not that I’m lazy, just that nothing I hate worse than standing in a line looking at a menu on a wall with people waiting impatiently behind me while I peruse the Encyclopedia Italiana on the wall. The server coming to my table changed the atmosphere for me from deli to fine dining. As for the food, when it comes to the sauce put on spaghetti or lasagna, etc. I often ask for samples before I order just so I don’t waste $ 15 on a dish I don’t like. Let me just say that in my book, Carfagna’s on Polaris is up there among the top Italian restaurants in the city. Already looking forward to a re-visit.

So, I was in the mood for Italian and I thought I would give Carfagna’s a try. My fiancé and I ordered our food to pick up. I ordered the Carfagna’s Combination with a side salad. It was delicious. I really liked the manicotti. My fiancé ordered Big D’s Cob Salad with grilled chicken. He loved it. I also liked it. We will definitely be coming back here more often. :-D

Visited tonight for the dollar wine night. Tried two new dishes that were pretty good but not great like some other dishes.

Nothing bad to say, just nothing great either. Food was good and there was plenty but just not very flavorful. I had a salad and the house balsamic dressing was oily. Changed to the honey mustard, very bland. Husband had a white pizza, again nothing spectacular. We sat at the bar to eat and they really need to mark their bar seats, the poor guy bring out for had to ask EVERYONE«Did you order this?» It was very confusing and didn’t come across as professional. Loved that you could do a tasting of wine before purchasing a glass and bartender was great. Friendly and offered suggestions. However, two tastes I had of red wines from the dispenser, we’re both bad. He did replace the bottles, but if I was a true wine novice I would have just thought I didn’t like the label.

I’ve been to Carfagna’s Kitchen a couple times now, and I’ve left a bit disappointed with my meal each time. It’s not that the food is bad; there’s just nothing that really sticks out and has you wanting to come back. Maybe it’s that I’m not ordering the right dishes. I’ve only been up that way for lunch and have had the sandwiches. This past time I ordered the Godfather, which sounds pretty amazing with your typical Italian deli meats plus prosciuotto and mortadella. All of those meats together were pretty damn salty, and there wasn’t much else on the sandwich to cut through the saltiness. The roasted red peppers were decent, but I couldn’t even taste the Italian dressing. Also, for $ 10, the sandwich was pretty small. The whole setup of the restaurant is a bit odd, because there’s a counter for you to order at with all of the dishes listed on a board at the front, yet every table is cluttered with menus. I guess people sit down, look at the menu, and go back up to order, but it just seems pretty odd. Whatever, I can deal with that, and I don’t mind getting my own refills, since I don’t have to rely on a good server. I think the problem with the sandwiches that I’ve had here is not the meats themselves, which Carfagna’s is famous for, but the dishes as a whole. You’re better off going to their actual grocery store on 161 and getting the meats there, taking them home, and making yourself a sandwich. To end on a positive note, their cannolis are probably the best I’ve had in Columbus, and for a city that doesn’t have much in the way of cannolis, I’d stop in just to get a whole bunch of these to go.

We have been here numerous times, especially since the remodel, which really upgraded the interior to look more like a high end restaurant as opposed to a sit down café which is what it resembled before. The people working here are always very friendly and eager to please. Our usual we would get here is spaghetti and meatballs and it was so very good that we usually would just get it as our default choice. However a few weeks ago I heard the pizza here was fantastic so I resolved to try it. Well we have a definitive winner as what to order here as the pepperoni and sausage pizza was one of the best Ohio-style pizzas I’ve had, if not the best to be quite honest. The pepperoni and sausage itself tasted incredibly flavorful and were nicely crisped up, curling up just a bit with no grease at all. This is high quality meat folks. They were generous with the cheese and sauce as well, both tasting exceptional. The crust was a Massey’s type crust minus the corn powder. All in all the package came together to make one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a while. it was so good in fact that the following weekend I nearly went back and got the exact same thing! Highly recommended for dine-in or carry out either one. You can’t go wrong with their pastas, especially the spaghetti and meatballs, but the pizza IMO is the best thing you can buy here so check it out!

I’ve never been to Italy, but my husband has. According to him this is pretty close. Fresh, delicious food! The value for the portion size and quality can’t be beat. This is one of favorite places to entertain out of town guests. It’s got a casual atmosphere that’s great for a quiet dinner with just my husband or a fun place for my whole family. The homemade pasta is amazing, not to mention that sauce! I’ve tried just about all of the pasta dishes, salads and desserts but the chicken parm and the Carfagna Combination are my two favorite dishes. It’s big enough to share but I prefer to order it myself and take half home for the next day. That is, if I can control myself to stop before I’m miserably stuffed! haha!

I completely understand why this place gets so many mixed reviews. There were 5 people in my party(2 adults 3 kids) so a few different things dishes were ordered & of course I had to taste them all. First off, the pizza ordered by my 3 kids. ALL three kids loved the pizza. The crust was nice and crispy without being burnt, there was the perfect amount of cheese on the pizza & it was stacked with tasty pepperoni. 5 stars on the pizza. 2nd up was the Chicken Florentine, my husband’s dish. The chicken was SUPER tender and had a marvelous taste to it. The noodles, I didnt taste. My husband said they were ok, nothing special. One thing we didn’t understand about this dish is that the chicken comes with marinara sauce but the noodles & spinach come with alfredo sauce. Kind of strange. At all the other Italian restaurants we have been to, both are served with alfredo. 3 stars on this dish. Next up is my dish, the Mean Manicotti. YUK is all I can say. The inside of the manicotti had a strange consistency and tasted like dirty feet smell. I’m not trying to be gross, that is just the best description I can give you. HOWEVER, the alfredo sauce on top of the dirty feet tasting manicotti was MARVELOUS. Loved it. I dipped my bread that come with the meal into it, and wish I had 8 more pieces of bread. Couldn’t get enough. *1 star for the gross manicotti, not even the delicious sauce couldn’t move it up to 2 stars… sorry. **Before I move onto the desserts we tried, I did want to mention that the honey mustard dressing I had on my side salad was splendid. One of the best I have had. Secondly, the bread they give you with your meal was excellent as well. Cannoli was the 1st dessert we tried: EEEEEWWWWWW! I do NOT consider myself a cannoli expert or anything, but their cannoli is lousy. Again in this dish, the consistency just seems off, like the cream isn’t blended well or something. Next up is the turtle brownie. Again, total waste of calories. I will say, the BROWNIE part of the brownie is good, HOWEVER, on top of the brownie they do a HUGE, THICK layer of chocolate frosting. On top of the frosting is MORE chocolate in the form of mini chocolate chips. You can see a little bit of caramel drizzled over the chocolate chips, but you cannot taste it because all the chocolate through out the brownie is so overpowering. Another problem with this dessert is how in the heck are you gonna call this a turtle brownie when there are no pecans, or some type of nut??? Ummmmm… helllooo!!! We will not be back. Spent almost $ 70. What a waste. Should have went to Carrabas.
