So while everyone there was very nice and helpful. It was only after waiting twenty minutes for my turn that I found out I couldn’t do what I came there for and had to go to another(corporate) store.

Terrible customer service at this location. We walked in ready to make a big purchase. There was no place to sign in and we were there for 15 minutes without being acknowledged by one of the 3 representatives working. We then left taking our business elsewhere.

Totally cost me an extra $ 500. The sales rep lied or had no idea what the hell he was talking about. Not impressed. Stay away, far away.

I came in here today with a pretty complicated order for replacing my phone. I needed to switch upgrade dates with my brother to get a better deal on my new phone and our family plan is in my fathers name who lives in California. I also needed a very specific phone to make appointments and keep track of things for work. And on top of all those circumstances the stores computers were also down from the thunderstorm. Despite all this I got instant service as soon as I walked through the door had all my paper work signed, phone plans switched, and my dream phone turned on with a sufficient charge in under twenty minutes and also got a great tutorial on how to most effectively use the phone. I strongly suggest going to Tim he was great!

I will never go here again. They never have the same deals an Verizon direct can offer. I had a terrible experience with an veteran SALES person there. I won’t name him directly but he’s a SR. Business and Personal Account REP that was filling in this day. I needed a new phone quick, and this guy definitely took advantage. These guys are pure salesman that made me feel icky when I left. He hard sold me on insurance on the phone. I wasn’t budging but the third time he asked he said I’d be charged for insurance but then I can cancel right when I left the store. Which basically is a sneaky way to squeeze another tier of commission for him. I did it — only because I thought it’d help him out. I’d tried reaching back to him to tell him how he screwed up alot of things on my account — he never returned my phone calls AND his e-mail wasn’t even real — I received two mailer daemons(not existent email address. The whole mess left me feeling terrible about this experience. Luckily, I called Verizon directly and received sterling service was they even let take advantage of an early upgrade. I WILLNEVERGOTOANYAUTHORIZEDDEALEREVERAGAIN. Go to an authorized VERZION shop only. **I had a good experience with one gentleman before at this location, he may have be the manager of the store — he helped me out a lot even let me get a loaner phone for a couple days, this was YEARS ago.

I couldn’t stand it anymore. The funny looks, the smirks and finally the open ridicule and humiliation of having an old, flip open, dumb phone. So I finally made the jump into 2007 and got an Android. Tech in general just befuddles me, but the sales rep asked the appropriate questions, listened to what I wanted and got me switched over in less than 30 minutes with a quick tutorial on how to use it. They’ve even been cool when I’ve come in and asked basic questions about how the phone works — weeks later. Points for that. It’s the helpful, no attitude employees will ensure that I come back here the next time I need a phone.

According to Verizon, this is a «contracted» store and what happens there is somehow not fully sanctioned by Verizon. This was told to me over the phone by a Verizon Customer Service Rep two days ago. I have been in this store twice(Jun 2012) to re-up on my contract and get new phones on my plan. Since my Jun 2012 visit, I found out that the rep there sold me a 3rd party Insurance Plan(eSecuritel) that he talked me into putting on my credit card. I was charged $ 6.99 a month for both phones and this is not authorized by Verizon, even though it happened in the Verizon store on 5th Ave. I just canceled this insurance, but had I needed it, Verizon would have nothing to do with the service. On top of this craziness, at the time I was bamboozled in to this insurance, the rep only canceled the Asurion(Verizon authorized) insurance I previously had on the old contract for one of my two phones and I just realized that after 1.5 years, I have been paying for this insurance plan and am out $ 125 because of it. It’s my own fault for not looking more closely at my my bill. When I called Verizon two days ago, they informed me that what happened in the store was unfortunate but that I could not be refunded the $ 125. They gave me a credit of $ 30 for my pain and suffering. There is something fishy going on with Verizon and this whole incident, because they could see from their end that I was getting insurance from a 3rd party when they looked at my bill, but somehow they washed their hands of the whole incident except to give me $ 30 back. One other thing — the rep at the 5th Ave store sold me a portable wifi device that was refurbished and it was supposed to be brand new. I noticed this a year later when I saw a very small sticker on the box. I will never go back there again. Probably the best thing to do is to call Verizon to see if there are fully authorized dealers in Cbus or just order from the website. Buyer Beware!
