Y’all… Y’ALL. Listen, I have a confession: I’m cheating on Keith. There’s a new love interest in my life. His name is Dave, and he delivers me artisanal gluten-free cheesecake TOMYDOOR. And I hate to break it to my boo, but this ain’t some quick, torrid love affair — this is the real deal. So let me tell you about Dave… Dave has been in the restaurant and hospitality industry for over 30 years, and homeboy knows what he’s doing. He is a part of The Food Fort(which is a whole other wonderful story in itself), and he bakes his delicious cheesecakes for home and business delivery. You can grab a slice of his desserts at: Matt The Miller’s, Hilton at Easton, The Market Italian Village, and The Crest. ORYOUCANHAVE A WHOLEONEDELIVEREDTOYOURHOUSE. Which is obviously what I did. And this cheesecake is one of the best desserts I’ve ever tasted — gluten-free or not! FYI Dave also makes traditional ones WITH all the gluten. The almond-flour shortbread crust is perfect and holds up well, and the actual cheesecake is creamy and dreamy. The texture is not too thick and firm, yet it magically holds up. It’s also not too sweet, which I love — there’s no icky sick feeling afterward. The customer service at Dave’s is also stellar. I was able to quickly place my order online, and I woke up to a text the next day saying he could deliver my dessert a day earlier if I wanted. OFCOURSE I DID. And then the most beautiful cheesecake in the world showed up at my house. To quote Keith, «That thing looks so good it’s pornographic.» I got a follow-up text a few days later from Dave checking to make sure everything was okay. #swoon So if you’re looking for a dessert for a special occasion or just because it’s Tuesday, give Dave a shout. As for me and my love triangle? Maybe Keith will let me be in an open relationship?
