Had the burrito with Mexican rice and refried beans. The sight of the meal brought back memories of the Swanson’s Mexican meal back when I was a kid in the early 1980s. Trippy. This was no Swanson’s meal, however. Way better. Though I wouldn’t call it the best in town, like some others have, the food here is quite good. Good enough that you can become a regular and know that you are still eating well each time. And the two people manning the station were really nice too. Dos Hermanos is definitely one of the 100 best in the city.

Got to their stall a quarter after six, so there wasn’t much of a wait to order. Got a burrito bowl — chorizo. I really wanted the steak, but they had run out earlier. Their chorizo is not what I was expecting. It did say«Mexican sausage» but I didn’t think anything of it when picking the alternative protein. It wasn’t like sausage from a link. It was more solid; tougher than the well know breakfast/bratwurst cylinders. It really didn’t have much taste. The beans, rice and guacamole salsa was very good, though. Gave the entire bowl a boost for the better. I’d like to come back and try their homemade corn tortillas. And the steak. I wasn’t blown away, so an eventual second try will hopefully Coke around in due time.

I’ve only tried all of varieties of the tamales and the rice, but holy crap! Delicious and very authentic. The green mild salsa is my favorite. It’s also incredibly affordable: 2 tamales, rice, salsa for $ 6. It’s enough to make you very full. Everyone I have encountered working there has been very friendly and helpful. I need to expand to something other than tamales, but they are so good I can’t NOT get them! Chicken and vegetable/cheese are my personal favorites. You can also get them pre-cooked to steam yourself, which is what I did at Christmas time so they would be fresh when I ate then days after buying them. Highly recommend!

I took my wife and daughter to the North Market today to try something new and fresh. My wife and daughter ordered the dos hermanos tacos and I ordered the chicken burrito. They have reasonable prices and great customer service. The food was amazing and authentic! This is definitely our new place for mexican food.

I wish I’d tried this place sooner! I bought the chicken enchiladas platter last night, which comes with your choice of salsa. I tried the guacamole salsa, and it is amazing! I’ll definitely be back, and am looking forward to trying other menu options.

The free guacamole sample with chips they laid out got me good. Ended up getting a trio of tacos(steak, chicken, pork) and found them to be good, not great. The guacamole salsa was a new item for me and was decent, too. The regular guacamole was definitely the star item and tasted fresh and homemade. $ 8 for 3 tacos is unheard of for me given NYC, so it was a steal in my book!

In the north market, you will find many different cuisines. One of my favorites is Mexican, and this place delivers. I have never heard of guac salsa before and when I saw a mash up of 2 of my favorite things on the menu I had to give this place a try. The tacos are fresh and so are the ingredients. The food comes out fast, seating can be found upstairs. Definitely recommend this place and chorizo tacos. I got 2 chicken and 1 chorizo, the chorizo was seasoned perfectly.

Best tacos in town. Seriously, just trust me. They don’t have a huge menu but all options are delicious. I’ve tried the chicken, beef & carnitas– all of which are tender, juicy and so flavorful. Order the guac salsa because it makes whatever you’re eating taste like a rare, mexican unicorn. Fresh but flavorful. The staff is incredibly friendly and genuinely want you to enjoy your meal. And lastly, they have Mexican Coke(you know the kind with real sugar?) and it’s one of life’s simple pleasures.

Let me get this out of the way. The tacos were great with the meats full of flavor and the simple topping of cilantro and onions. Salsas also very good. All in all a great lunch. However, they got my order terribly wrong. Two tacos instead of three and wrong meat. That being said, I couldn’t be upset because the food was great. Lost one star for wrong order and 1 star for being pretty pricey. $ 9.75 for a water and three tacos(turned out to be two tacos) is a little much.
