Staff was brusque and the lady at the front counter clearly did not want to be there. Macchiato was way bitter and undrinkable.

They have literally the rudest employees of any business I’ve ever been to. The coffee is okay, but their employees attitudes are horrendous and definitely push me away from wanting to make a single purchase. Not worth it at all.

Coffee was surprisingly decent. Anywhere that offers sizing for their cappuccinos kind of misses the mark though.

I tried the coffee here on my first visit to North Market – we went right in the middle of a Sunday lunch hour which in hindsight, was probably not the best choice of time. We would’ve been better served coming in a little later, 3 or 4 pm or so. So ordering etc. was a little awkward in the massive crowds here, but it was definitely worth it. All I had was an iced mocha, but it was so fantastic. It WAS pretty sweet, but at the moment that’s kind of what I was looking for. But it was sweet in a much subtler way than a lot of places. It tasted like really fantastic chocolate ice cream with espresso poured over. So good! I would 100% order it again, though I would probably do it at one of the other more convenient locations. The service here though I will say was really quick despite the crowds!

I love Stauf’s coffee, but their location in North Market leaves a lot to be desired. It’s no secret that Stauf’s is overpriced but it’s insulting when their financial standards for their customers don’t match the standards they hold for their employees. There appears to be no dress code whatsoever for the workers and the female who rang up my coffee was wearing spandex bike shorts with a cut off tshirt. I don’t mind jeans and a tshirt, but this was little too casual. Furthermore, they have employees use their phones for people who want to pay with cards and the women had me sign my name on an incredibly broken phone screen. Isn’t this a liability when your customers could glass in their fingers trying to pay for an overpriced coffee? I hope Stauf’s considers setting some standards for their North Market location.

I really like the Chai Chill! I can’t say anything about their other offerings. They’re prices are comparable to Starbucks.

I wanted to love this place… We had just enjoyed a wonderful lunch, and needed an afternoon pick-me-up. So we walked around the market and stumbled upon Stauf’s. I always order a Almond Milk Latte(Daily from Coffee shops all over the country), so I know exactly what to expect when I receive my coffee. The coffee was horrible, it’s the worst latte I’ve EVER had. The milk was burnt, thus leaving my almost $ 6 coffee was absolutely undrinkable. The worst part was my coworker also ordered one and hers was also burnt. So if your going to order a coffee I would suggest not to order a almond milk latte until the barista learns how to properly do the milk without burning it. The little shop has a big city vibe and a friendly staff, who took the time to tell us about fun local places we could try while we were in town.

Not as big a fan of this location as their Grandview one, but still a decent place to stop by for a cup of coffee. I like that they offer a range of brewing methods to choose from(aeropress!) and also a great selection of different beans. The reason for the lower rating here was for the service. The baristas while I was here definitely gave off kind of a snobby vibe and were not the most helpful in terms of recommending different roasts. Not the most welcoming environment that’s for sure. But, the prices are more than fair here so there’s that. Probably not a place I would go out of my way to return to, but if I needed my caffeine fix while roaming the North Market it’s not a bad option.

Mmmmm I’ll take some of that pour over coffee any day. After a hectic couple of days, I was ready to consume some decent coffee. After visiting Grindhaus Café in Buffalo and trying pour over coffee for the first time, I knew I had to get it again if I saw it on any menu. And oh my god, Stauf’s did not disappoint. My gravitation toward this place was not just my inherent need for caffeine but also from the lovely faces that greeted me with pleasantries. They asked me how I was, where I was from, joked about the coffee, gave me suggestions on different roasts, and wished me a great day. If getting caffeine didn’t make my head spin in wonder, their awesome customer service surely did. It was a matter of a couple of minutes, but they definitely provided memorable service. I’m sure a less busy location would have been better to go to, but I’m sure I would have missed out on the great conversation. The girl making my pour over coffee was super happy I got the Ethiopian roast and couldn’t stop smiling about it! I could only accept my coffee with laughter and a returned smile. Good people. They also have a reward system that appears on your coffee sleeve which I think is an absolutely stellar idea. You bring the sleeve back, you get a stamp on the sleeve. I think after a certain number of stamps you get a free coffee. More places need to hop on that idea. The coffee was purrrrrfect, especially after much caffeine deprivation. I’ll be back here when I come go to Columbus in the future.

My go-to coffee place in the Arena District. My Saturday morning routine always includes a dark roast coffee from Stauf’s followed by a pastry from Omega Artisan Baking. The staff is always friendly, the pricing is reasonable and the coffee is always good. It’s one of the few places where I can order a black coffee. Definitely a much needed staple in the North Market.

These people know coffee! Always fresh and perfectly brewed, very flavorful. Friendly too. I walk over here for an afternoon coffee break whenever I’m visiting family in Columbus.

Visited this location the past 2 days while at the Convention center. 6 total beverages from a dirty chai, brewed coffee, iced latte and café americano. Brewed coffee was good and a better price than other places around. Other beverages were market average. The reason for 3 stars is due to custom espresso beverages. They were weak, especially the chai. I do like that they use Snowville dairy products and have sustainability programs with their cups and cup sleeves.

I wrote a rave review for Stauf’s in Grandview and wanted to say a few words about this new location in North Market. In short, their pour over is every bit as good as their standalone shop, limited only by a smaller selection of beans. The customer service is top notch — it is staffed by some of the same people who previously worked in Grandview. Would buy again. A++ A nice feature of the North Market store is that they do bean roasting on location. I counted about 5 – 6 choices of beans, which were their best sellers, that I could choose from. This is slightly misleading as there were at least 8 others that I could not try because they were roasted that morning and needed to sit. Surprisingly, they were not more expensive than their Grandview shop. Same Stauf’s staff. Same Stauf’s quality. Same 5 star recommendation.
