WTH… Come on. tuna pizza??? meat and potatoes??? I’m all for ancovies and meat but come on… and it’s not cheap either. Service it very good they hustle but some of the concocsions is enough to make you wonder how long this place will last. I guess this place just isn’t what one craves when you’re hungry for«real» pizza. Sauce was too sweet for me but was okay for wife… Atmosphere…hummm you could operate with all the light in this place, been there twice and both times no problem getting in or a table… place is either sooooooo new or people who have been there aren’t returning. Unless you live in german village or the short north it does not seem worth the drive or this pie.

Went here when there was still snow on the ground and never got around to writing a review. I can see why they closed though. Pizza was just okay… not very memorable. I actually don’t even remember what I ordered. just that I had a Groupon or living social deal and that I struggled to spend the amount it was for. Service was weird. Literally walked in and we were ignored for about 10 minutes. Seemed like we were bothering the people working by being there. Also, this place would be terrible for groups. When we were there, there was an unfortunate woman who was sloppy/alcohol poisoning drunk. Screaming at the top of her lungs. and the music was strange. It wasn’t a radio or pandora, but someone’s weird 1995-esque play list with all the songs you never wanted to hear unless you were at home so you wouldn’t embarrass yourself. Might try the new business that’s here though.

Went there for lunch. Owner immediately took care of us and apologized for not having a server and the cook running late. She was extremely gracias and gave us 10% for the trouble. Food was good, interior needs a bit of TLC but overall a decent place for lunch.

Consistent is the first word that comes to mind when I think of Element. This was my second visit and I was sure to take some mental notes for a review this time around. Both visits have been during prime dinner time. The atmosphere upon walking in is stark and cold, but very friendly. We’ll get to that later. I ordered the eggplant and aioli sauce for starters. Eggplant is pretty tasteless when deep fried and heavy on grease, but the sauce was amazing and delivery was timely. The pizzas are pretty amazing. I’ve had the Americano, Supreme, and Buffalo Chicken. The only thing I would change was to add more sauce on the buffalo pie. Other than that, Element’s pies stand above others. The atmosphere needs some work. As I mentioned, the place is rather stark. There are two tv’s that are never on, an iPod playing Jock Jams on repeat, the lights were kept off during most of our dinner, and the bar area as a whole could use some work. Overall, it’s a good place with good food!

Terrible pizza, and even worse prices. Pizza crust could only be described as odd. A large cheese was $ 17.00. Go to Donatos or get a frozen pizza from the grocery — it’ll taste way better, and for cheaper.

This place has been getting a lot of hoop-la lately, so we decided to try it for lunch today. I was rather under-impressed. This place is a hole in the wall bar, with a small pizza kitchen in the back. Our pep & sausage pizza looked nothing like any of the pictures. In fact, it looked like a Tony’s frozen pizza, however, the taste was indeed better. The sauce had a nice flavor and the thin crust had a good chew… at least on the outside edges. The peperoni was good, but there wasnt much of it. The sausage was not so good, rather bland and tasteless, and as well, on the skimpy side. The cheese tasted good, and had a creamy melt. We might go back, but I would definitely be trying something different.

My kids and I came here for a late lunch to use our Groupon. I was a little nervous because the reviews were so mixed but seemingly leaning toward the negative. We were pleasantly surprised. We ordered cheesy garlic bread and the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. The food was delicious, although I would like to know what’s up with the black char that is on the crust. It didn’t really affect our enjoyment of the pizza, though. Plenty of cheese and chicken. The crust was good(I’ve read reviews complaining about the crust.) My only negatives are that I think the bacon was artificial bacon bits(at $ 17 for the large pizza I guess I was expecting real bacon) and that pop/lemonade was $ 2 per person. That might be the norm though. We usually just have water. We splurged today! Overall a very favorable experience and we will be back!

I swear I’m not that picky when it comes to pizza, but Element seemed like it would be so much better than it was. I was really disappointed. The atmosphere: 2 stars. Boring. No music, no real décor, blah. Service: 3 stars. Not much personality, but he got the job done. Bar Selection: 1 star. Four taps, only two in use. Only a few bottled beers. No local selection, beer or liquor. Food: 2 stars. Side salad– not that I expected anything grand, but it was a plate of chewy lettuce and 4 small slices of tomatoes. The boneless wings came out and seriously looked like perfectly round little dark brown turds. No joke. But they were my favorite part of the meal. Not too shabby. We each got an individual pizza– a supreme, a bbq chicken, and a regular cheese. The crust is pretty good, and they all had a good amount of cheese on them. The pizza sauce was ok, but there was way too much. The chicken on the pizza– no good. Little spongy cubes. When all is said and done, I won’t be back to Element, even with a Groupon.

Not a bad pizza joint Had a groupon for Element pizza so checked it out on a Saturday night. it is on 3rd. and chestnut which really is not a busy area over the weekend so the place was pretty quiet. It was smokey inside too, like the kitchen area was not vented out anywhere. Tried 4 different kinds of pizzas: supreme, americano, bbq chicken, and apple onion. The supreme had really large pieces of vegetables on it which was annoying, but flavors were good. The cheese was really stringy. The americano was ok, has red pepper flakes to give it lingering heat which isn’t my thing but was not bothersome. The BBQ chicken had the best potential, but the chicken on it did not taste as if it had been seasoned. The apple onion pizza was kind of odd. The apple gave it a firm sweetness that was supposed to contrast with the onion but really didn’t. Not a bad experience, not great either however.

A personal-sized pizza is 4 large pieces. A notable bargain! However, I’m not entirely enamored by Element. I’ve been here a few times, mainly for lunch meetings, which I’d actually recommend if you want a quick bite in a semi-quiet atmosphere with a central locale and adequate parking options(mostly meters.) The pizza has been mostly tasty, but far from a local favorite. The ingredients are fresh, toppings are unique — take my word for it ad order the apple and onion pizza. Prices are totally reasonable for a downtown joint, so know that you get a decent deal if you stop in at least. For noteworthy, nearly-gourmet, unique pies, I think you’ll be satisfied with E. My biggest beef is the experience of dining in at Element. I’m not sure if they deliver, and of course there’s always pick up, but if you chose to dine in, there’s a chance you’ll be wondering what gives? It could be a combination of the sporadic service, bare boned dining room, or the sheer time it took from order to consumption. If you’re in the downtown area, you won’t find much better by way of local ‘zas, but keep in mind there are a fair share of great local places that might be a better option. I’ll have to stop by on a week or weekend night soon. I have a feeling it might be quite a different experience.

Great pizza! We had the pepperoni and a BBQ chicken pizza. Both had incredible flavor, delicious sauces and perfect ingredients. Our server was incredibly friendly, nice and helpful. Our only complaint was it was a little warm, but we were sitting near the kitchen so that’s to be expected. This is definitely a place worth visiting.

I’m kind of shocked to find I’ve never reviewed this place before I’ve been here so many times! I do like their pizza, but I am consistently disappointed with the bar — it takes way longer than it should to get someone to take your drink order and they do a really poor job of stocking the bar appropriately. Random side note, I find their chairs really uncomfortable. Last night we stopped in to hang out with friends, but it was so hot and humid we left without ordering — only to find it was cooler outside in the 80 – 90 degree weather!

I went here with a few friends, simply cause we had a Groupon to use. Since I don’t care for anything tomato, and this joint doesn’t offer any pizzas whith a white sauce, I decided to make my own pizza. I ordered a 10″ cheese, grilled chicken, mushroom, and green pepper concoction. It was ok. Not anything«sha-bowable». The establishment itself is in a good location — several businesses surround the joint. The tables are long standard plastic fold-up multi-purpose tables. The bartender who waited on us was a nice gentleman. We were the only people inside, but the bartender said they do good business at lunch. I’m always a fan of local establishments, but unfortunately nothing about my pizza made a lasting impression.

Way better this time. I think my favorite pizza in Columbus. Yum! I will be back For Sure. Strawberry beer is pretty good too. Crust is perfect mix of crunchy and chewy. Char dust is way less then last time and I am now a true fan! Thank you guys! We sat at the bar this time and ate the pizza, staff is a true pleasure to talk to.

Ugh… all these Groupon/LivingSocial folks… oh shoot… I’m being one of those Unilocal-yuppies. Stop it, Jackie, stop it! Anyway… the boy and I were on our way to Dirty Frank’s for some hot-diggity-dawgggssss, When we passed Element and were like, frick yeah… u-turn and let’s try this place out that we have been talking about for awhile. As other diners have mentioned… the chairs were rather uncomfortable. Metal, and weirdly sloped. However the pizza? Yummerzzzzz. If I remember correctly we got 2 mediums and a small mac n’ cheese to try. I enjoyed it! The mac and cheese was more«easy mac» than thick goodness… but whatever, pizza was straight tasty. It was St. Paddy’s day weekend(granted, early Saturday) but they seemed to have pretty good beer specials going on. And they even have a tiny little cheat sheet for us wine-o’s to know the best pizza/vino pairing. The lady who waited on us was friendly and cheerful… even to the customer’s and delivery people who stopped in, too. I enjoyed myself(and the pizza) — will probably get it to go next time though! But seriously, creative and yummy!

I had a Living Social coupon and went with a co-worker for lunch(we are within walking distance). We both had personal pizzas, which were very good(mine was the Bruschetta). I also had the side salad, which was a disappointment. Bad iceberg lettuce, some cheese & a few slices of tomato. The slice of lemon in my water still had the sticker on it(so it wasn’t washed? blech). I may or may not go back, but I would order the pizza or try the veggie sandwich. The service was good.

It was a cold rainy day, my group of comrades that had just finished a meeting at the convention center were ravenously hungry. The wait at max and erma’s and BD’s were in the two hour range due to masses of volleyball players. Unilocal app to the rescue! Pizza! great for a group and after a quick call our group of 18 walked over to element. The staff was probably in shock to get a random group of 18, but they didn’t skip a beat with their friendly service between the two of them. There is a small but adequate craft beer draft and bottle selection. I got a lagunitas Pils and an Elevator Mogabi. That accompanied their house sausage pizza which was fantastic, the fennel in the sausage made it quite mild. The pizza sauce was a little on the chunky and sweet side, but it blended well with their cheese and toppings. Nothing seemed to be overdone, simple gourmet combinations. The crust was crispy outside, a bit chewy inside, and definitely hand tossed. Looking at the rest of the selection there seemed to be plenty more to try in repeat visits. My commendations to the staff for very much satisfying a group of 18 with absolutely no notice. They even split up all of our checks for us without any extra fees!

Just had lunch at this relatively new pizza shop and really enjoyed it. The décor is pretty barebones. It reminds me more of a diner in a small, now defunct midwestern town than a downtown bar, but I suppose that will change. There are nice touches, like mason jar glassware, and a chalkboard menu that show some promise, but the entire place needs a good updating. I sat at the counter, which featured comfortable stools and nicely padded ledge. The pizza really sang. Element helpfully allows for half-pizza options, so I had a small pizza, half with house-cured bacon and potatoes, half with almonds, prosciutto, raisins and a balsamic sauce. Both were very good. I liked the thin cut potatoes on the pizza — they crisped nicely in the oven and complemented the bacon very well. The raisin/etc. pizza side was good too, with a very interesting sweet flavor set off against the salty meat. The crust is where they really excel, though. It’s the perfect thickness in the middle, with a good edge. It’s simultaneously chewy and crispy, with a great flavor. This was by far my favorite part of the pizza I had, and it’s one of the better crusts in town.(Although Romeo’s might still edge them out…) They appear to have a pretty well-stocked bar with lots of local or artisan spirits. Kudos to serving Watershed! I’d love to stop back for some appetizers and a drink after work some night. Bottom line: delicious downtown pizza in a venue with tons of potential. Keep an eye on this one.

Pizza is an essential food, elemental to good health, well-being, and happiness. Especially when served piping hot after a long day of work-related travel. Then is it is beyond elemental: it is manna from heaven. So is Element Pizza all that? If you consider yourself a connoisseur of the pie, then consider this: crust is made in-house a number of times daily, ingredients are fresh(some housemade — like the excellent sausage with the spot-on amount of fennel — the rest local), each combination has been artfully composed, but the kitchen is ready to work with you to make each pie your own. A few minutes in the Element’s 600 degree oven later and you can decide for yourself. I went basic — Element salad(housemade bacon and Caesar) and the House Sausage pizza. The salad was plentiful and well-balanced, the warm bacon and perfectly poached egg setting off the crisp spinach and arugula. The pizza was excellent. The crust crisp, the sauce present without being in any way soupy, and each bite had a touch of all the flavors present. The setting suggests«Italian café,» with tile floors, patio furniture and lighting, and a mix of Dean Martin and Citizen Cope on the sound system. Beyond elemental…
