The staff is great, the locals friendly and the pizza to die for. What’s not to love.

Been here 2 times and have had a great experience both times. The pizza is soft and tender without being too tender. Just tender enough. The service is laid back, friendly and prompt. No frills beer selections, which is just fine for a miller girl like myself. Came with a pretty big group this time and we had the place to ourswlves! Bummed to have missed trivia(no one came). Long live the dyke bar!!!

Best bar pizza in Columbus. Takes some time lately regardless of how busy the bar is, which is the only reason I am giving four stars. Bar and wait staff are friendly and the place has an overall laid back, chill atmosphere.

The drinks are always good and you get your moneys worth on the Fireball shots! The pizza’s nothing special, but it’s good. The appetizers are pretty standard bar food. We live in the area and have been here quite a few times. We always have a good time here!

After giving this a 4 star review I went back on a Saturday night and it seemed like they just stopped trying. It was dead. Yes there can be nights that things just don’t happen but, as a bar, you have to give the basics to the people to make it fun. First: Music. They have a jukebox but you can’t depend on the customers to fill the jukebox with money to provide the music. Not our job to create the basic ambiance. There has to be a backup system that when people haven’t fed the jukebox music is played. Walk into a big bar on a Saturday night with no people and there’s no music it doesn’t make you want to stay and hang out. This place has been here forever and the lack of effort and complacency shows. Maybe have special nights to draw the crowds in? Maybe stop resting on your laurels and acknowledge you need to shake it up a bit? The pizza was still good.

The ladies here got it goin’ on! Stiff, cheap drinks and surprisingly good pizza. There’s always a good turnout for OSU games

This place is either as quiet as can be or packed and bursting at the seams. I personally enjoy going more when it is quiet. I know this is a lesbian bar, but for me it is a neighborhood bar as it is very close to my home. The food is good bar food and the service has almost always been great! Sometimes it appears to be closed at random times, so be aware of that. But when they are open, it’s a good place to stop and enjoy some pizza and shots! They have a large outdoor patio too!

I’m guessing based on the other reviews that this place is really more of a nighttime destination, so perhaps my review does not mean much. That said, the service at lunchtime was unbelievably slow. There were a total of 12 people(3 – 4 tables) and we say at the bar. We all ordered the pizza lunch which comes with a salad, but the pizza took nearly 45 minutes to come out. While it was tasty, that is an insanely long time for lunch service.

I had been wanting to try Slammers forever. We just had some philosophical differences. You see, to me, pizza night is Tuesday night. To Slammers, Tuesday night is a night to be closed. So, when I found myself in need of Za on a Friday, I jumped at the opportunity. Slammers is a great bar with a very local, neighborhood feel inside. Service was fantastic and friendly. The pizza here is Ohio style, with thin, crispy crust and edge to edge toppings. The crust is somewhat dense, so, while crisp, it isn’t crackery or airy. The toppings were all top notch. The sauce shows off tart notes, which complemented the spicy kick of the peps just fine. I’m thrilled that I finally got to try Slammers. I’m sure I’ll be back to enjoy the atmosphere of this bar. Pizza is A-OK and definitely worth a try.

I know this is a lesbian bar but damn, they got some hot bartenders and make really good pizza. This place makes a really good thin crust pizza with cornmeal underneath their crust. If you want to try their pizza for free, I believe they have free slices on wednesday night. The main reasons why I come here are their 6 dollar domestic pitchers and the hot trivia girl that comes here twice a week. Even though she might be a lesbian, I would still hit on her hardcore and she will keep leading me on. Her trivias run a little longer than most places though. After 8 or 9PM, this place turns really butch and that’s my cue to leave. Slammers is a dive bar but it’s affordable for being a downtown option and the atmosphere is chill. Don’t be surprise if you see some women using the men’s bathroom, there’s almost never no lines to the men’s bathroom.

I love Slammer’s pizza. Would go way more often except for my allergy to driving anywhere near downtown, which I only do willingly if I am fighting a traffic ticket. So, anytime I know someone I know is going anywhere near there, I have them pick me up a pizza. Last time I sent a gentleman well into his seventies and err, did not happen to describe the type of establishment this was. As it turned out, he didn’t notice, lol. My very favorite thing about Marcia’s pizza is that it is understood that just because you happen to want a white pizza this does not mean no sauce! What a concept. Their drinks are good too just have not been since 2013 pride, didn’t make it this year.

Shit beer selection, ghastly food, slow but friendly service. I’d like to like this place but they should try a bit harder. Wrapping cucumbers, lunch meat and mayo in a wet tortilla does not a 7 $ «wrap» make.

Besides Wall Street this is my favorite gay bar. I know there’s Union and Level ect ect but I like the«Cheers» like vibe it has. There are a few pool tables in the back and a jukebox that is filled with awesome choices for just hanging out, playing pool or whatever. They also have Jell-O shots. You had me at jello. There’s also pretty decent bar food here(the pizzas are good if your not needing to watch your waistline There’s also a sizable fenced in patio which creates a cozy ambiance. All in all a good chill place.

I give three stars only because there a serious lack of decent girl bars in Columbus. So the place has an interesting smell, the music is three years behind and the cheap pizza soaks up of the heavy handed cheap cocktails. With that said, this is not a bad place to «get yo drank on!» This is a good place to pre-game or just meet a few friends for some light hearted fun. I mean if it made improvements and became more popular, it would totally loose it’s appeal. Gotta love my neighborhood Slammers!

5 stars for their pizza. If the rest of Columbus found out how good their pizza is sales would triple. Slammers is a relaxing casual place for any gender or sexual orientation to hang out at(lesbians don’t discriminate.).

Actually had a chance to go here quite a few more times and always have a good time. Nice crowd of LGBT folks, mostly women of course. Drink pours are generous and staff is very friendly.

Neighborhood dyke bar. Wasn’t packed, generic domestic beer selection mostly but drink deals and prices convince you that you in fact cannot get enough Yuengling. Casual/laid back atmosphere. A few TVs, pool table and juke box. Clean restrooms. Outdoor patio with semi high fences. Slammers is the place you’re looking to begin or end a night at.

Really enjoyed a slow wednesday night here. The people are super friendly, the drinks are strong and very well priced and the patio is awesome. My only complaint when the place really slowed down and people stop selecting music on the juke box the place went silent. This kind of killed the mood. Cant wait to check it out again on another night.

I actually used to work for Marcia, the owner, about 8 years ago in the back bar(Club 202). Anyways, my friend Graig and I needed to get together and we immediately decided on pizza, I suggested Slammers, Graig got excited and 15 minutes later… We got a great greeting by Summer, the bartender. She got our drinks, placed our order and before we knew it — hot steaming pizza! It had been years since I’d had a Slammers pizza but it was still a good as ever. They’ve still got their pizza mojo. We got the large pepperoni with it’s thin crust with a little corn meal on the bottom. They give you a decent amount of pepperoni and cheese, lightly sauced. It tastes great, flavors are awesome, no complaints. My beer was cold, Graig said his Cosmo was perfectly done. Clientele was 20’s and 30’s, almost all women, just a few of us guys. We took a table in the corner of the bar as we are always respectful of the fact that there are few Lesbian spaces(Slammers, Blazers, Wall Street) in town. I will say that we were made to feel welcome and Summer took great care of us. They have a juke box, a large patio, plenty of seating and a really nice long bar. Their pizzas are among the best in Columbus but they have other great Italian foods on the menu. Marcia is 1st generation Italian and she knows her Italian food. Check them out and you will be glad you did!

All this mumbo jumbo about being a gay bar… I didn’t notice. What made me gay about this bar was the sandwiches and cheap beer. It’s a pretty sports bar set up, with a nice deck and a pool… table. I couldn’t do it, but there was FREEPIZZA, on Tuesdays. Close to downtown and the arty area.
