Evil Twin

Evil Twin is a fun, unique store that’s not so much about toys, as it’s more about the unique soft sided underbelly of toys. I love this store and it’s eclectic mix of kitsch, nostalgia, and the never-​before-​seen. It’s magical!

Go in knowing what you’re looking for. I’ve tried this place out three times (two really but more on that later) and two of those times I’ve been told how about one out of every three things I stop to look at is a «rare» item that they just got in. Do your research before you go in and know what you want and how much it should cost. Admittedly, they clearly have some rare and very, very cool items but when you try to tell me that the sutures in a plastic container are «rare», thus the price you’re asking for them, I become skeptical. A «rare» action figure down the road at Big Fun will cost you about half the price. As I said, they really do have some neat and interesting things, some of which are absolutely worth the price but the vast majority of what’s inside can be found much cheaper online if you’re willing to search for a week or so.
That was my experience two out of the three times I’ve been to this place. The other time there was a palm/​tarot card reader inside. Full shop set up as soon as you walk in the door. My personal view on this aside (it’s a private business. If you want to hustle people, be my guest) maybe don’t have it set up as soon as people walk in? I understand that it’s a small place and you have to do what you can but walking into an already cramped store only to be met with a semi circle of people crowded around two people at a table makes it pretty hard to shop. When I walked in to that, I turned around and haven’t been back.

Went into this place and was blown away with the goodies this guy had. He was very friendly and very knowledgable with every item I’d ask him about.

Stumbled upon this store with some friends while passing through the area. The strange, musical clowns in the window grabbed our attention. Evil Twin is not really my scene but my friend wanted to check out their treasures. It’s a little bit of a comic book/​collectiable/​anything store. The aisles are crammed with so much to see. The collection is insane: vintage trading cars, comic books, Walking Dead items, shrunken heads, a vintage coffin, vintage books, religious trinkets (Christian and non-​Christian), figurines, autographed movie props, and more. As I said earlier, not really my scene but I did spend a good amount of time checking everything out and getting excited at the book collection. My friend left with a bag filled with ecclectic collectible goodies. Evil Twin is a good addition to High Street (and they’ve only been open for a few months). (NOTE: Three stars because it’s not my kind of place, but I’m sure that any collector will easily give Evil Twin four or five.)

ive been into this store a bunch of times and there is always something new and intriguing. the staff is very friendly and knowlegeble. if they dont have what you are looking for the owner is always happy to use his resources to try and locate it. i have see a 2 headed animal (awesome BTW), signed movie props, the flavored lollypops with scorpians in them are good. they had an original blood box from the 1800s… if you are a serious collector or if you are just looking for a unique gift, this is a great place to check out.

Great store! Tons of cool stuff, seriously everything from comic books to wet specimen!
