Meh. This pizza is a bit on the bland side. Nothing stands out… mediocre crust, mediocre sauce, and mediocre toppings. I also prefer a hearty pizza, so this pizza doesn’t do much for me. Go down the road to Tommy’s on lane Ave. for some stellar pie.

While staying at a local hotel, we ordered delivery. They told us ½ hour and they were right on time. The food was still hot, and everything seemed fresh. Cant get better pizza if you like their style of pizza.

I am reviewing this Papa John’s not so much for its quality(which is of course pretty much standard), but for the format of the store. The location, appropriately enough directly across from«ghetto» Kroger, consists of a very small… vestibule, I suppose. A prominent sign notes that«This Papa John’s location is under 24 hour surveillance.» To pick up your pizza, you have to speak into a microphone — plexiglass seals the employees away from you. Payment is handled through a little«under the glass» dealie, and best of all, your pizza is slid through a pizza-box-sized slot in the glass, as though you were a convict in solitary receiving your meal. Picking up pizza here is both a surreal experience and a stinging commentary on the socioeconomic woes of the neighborhood. Fascinating.
