Extra Space Storage is a really nice facility, but the prime location most definitely costs you. Sure, it’s convenient and secure with the gated entrance and friendly staff, but $ 110 a month for a storage unit? Call me crazy – but that seems ridiculous. If I lived in Grandview, I might be willing to pay the premium, but it’s a bit of a haul from Bexley. I’m already checking into a less expensive storage facility once the weather warms up a bit!

Chosen for location, safety, cleanliness and price, my experience thus far with Extra Space has been pretty enjoyable. After filling out an online info form and completing the initial application, I was contacted via phone by the on-site manager. She wanted to follow up with the online transaction, introduce herself and ask when I planned to move in. Some might not like the personalized contact — and maybe it’s standard protocol for storage facilities, I’m not sure — but I really liked having that conversation move offline, to phone, to eventually in person to sign the lease and get a walkthrough and further instructions. Grounds are well kept, security is well, secure, and the manager actually lives on-site in an apartment near the front office. As far as affordability goes, my 10×10 unit is about $ 100 a month with insurance and taxes. Even those who don’t live in the Grandview area have to appreciate the location. It’s right off of 670 and totally centrally located. Looking forward to having Extra Space take good care of the space that’s housing all my sh%#.
