Fazoli’s

My wife and I had a chance to go get a bite for dinner without our picky 7 year old daughter, so we decided to give Fazoli’s a whirl. It has been about a year since we ate there. We were looking for something cheap and quick.
They are doing some exterior renovations (we literally had to bump into painters on our way into and out of the restaurant) and it looks really nice. Clean lines, good colors, etc.
The teen girl in front of us asked for a free pepperoni pizza and drinks for her friends because her mom worked there. Then the mom popped her head around the corner and said, «yeah, that’s my daughter». I’m all about free food but let’s be discreet folks!
We were surprised that our baked spaghetti, three slices of pizza (one double slice and one kid slice) and two drinks cost $ 19. So much for cheap! Then it took about 10 minutes for the food to come to our table. So much for quick! A couple can eat at Chipotle, Zwanzigz, Panera, Ru Yi, Papa’s Grill, etc for the same price.
The food tasted okay and the service was friendly. Otherwise they’d get 1 star. Cervelo R’s review would have been much worse.
