I can see why this place is so packed on a Saturday morning. You’d never guess there was a Paleo-diet/low carb/gluten free epidemic going on in this country from the folks who throng here for pastries and breakfast sandwiches. The only sour note I will interject is that both the cheese and blueberry scones were tough,(not dry; I expect scones to be crumbly and not cake like. These were tough) and you can only get 12 ounces of coffee at a time.

My wife and I tried the café this past weekend… they were very busy but it did not take long at all to get our food and great pour-over coffee. The sticky roll and breakfast sandwich were killer and the oatmeal a neighbor had looked great! Strong recommendation to anyone hungry with a desire to grab a cup of coffee and meet some friends and even eat out on their patio — great addition to the Columbus Short North-Italian Village area. All the best — Pat & Devie

Undoubtedly one of the best hidden pearls in Columbus! With no slogan or letter sign, the distinctive white fox welcomes you into a pure paradise. Amazing bakeries and coffees! Had strawberry Danish and their best-known cinnamon rolls. Every bite melts your taste buds and brain nerves. Fox in the Snow can truly give you a perfect Saturday afternoon chat in every season.

That egg sandwich. I’m drooling thinking about it right now. It was wonderful. A souffled egg, bacon, arugula(which I normally do not like) and mustard! «Egg sandwich» does not do it justice. I’d be in trouble if I lived closer. Service was quick and friendly, and all the sweets looked wonderful!

This place is cute – no doubt. It has all the requisite touchs: the whimsical logo, the well appointed loft space, the pour over setup. The problem is the items they serve aren’t that good. The cortado I had was extremely bitter. The biscuit & jam was tough and salty(though the jam was good.) The blueberry scone was beautiful but it was also tough and the dough didn’t have any bit of sweetness to it. The cinnamon roll dough was not tough(whew) but the frosting was thin. It was the best of the three I tasted, however. Everything looked beautiful. I hope the taste will someday match it.

This place is amazing. The coffee is always fresh. The food is outstanding. And the atmosphere is inviting. The only problem here is making a decision on what to get. The egg sandwich is always a treat. The key is to come with two or three more people. Each of you gets something different, and then you share. Other highlights include the biscuits with raspberry jam, the cinnamon roll and the blueberry scone. I’ve not had a piece of the coconut bread… but it’s on my list!

Great spot for great coffee. First off, the building was a complete renovation and it’s beautiful inside. Giant windows and natural wood tables. You can even look in on the kitchen while they make your egg sandwich(which you obviously have to order). They use beans from Tandem coffee roasters and I really enjoy their lighter roasts. Also, don’t forget to buy a pastry or two. I’ve only sampled about a dozen of them and you can’t go wrong. The cinnamon role is infamous and their new almond pastry rocks. The only reason I am not giving Fox in the Snow 5-stars is that because there is often a line. This then encourages people who are in line to grab a table before they order which pretty much messes up the whole scheme of ordering and grabbing one of the opening tables that are constantly rotating. People that actually have their food end up without a table. This isn’t their fault but they might be able to do something to discourage this?

When you walk into FITS it will most likely be crowded and hot with a very long line. The many windows make it bright and cheerful but also kind of turn it into a greenhouse. The good news is that the line moves quickly and tables turn over fast, too. The high points of the menu are the pastries and obviously the fluffy, crispy, decadent egg sandwich but I didn’t have to tell you that. The hand pie has been my favorite so far, it has such buttery flaky pastry filled with seasonal fruit. A close second was the cinnamon roll. I’ve also had an egg tart but since it wasn’t warmed up before served it was kind of strange to eat a cold sunny side up egg. I wasn’t impressed with the coffee either, especially for the price. The cappuccino was just okay, which is disappointing for a «café». Overall some great food and a cool space!

I’m sure I don’t even have to write a review for this place since there are so many already! I’ll make it short. Interior. Everything just complements each other from the white walls, garage windows, to lively plants. My friend and I’ve decided that it’s the green that lightens up the place. Food. MUSTGET the egg sandwich! I tried it without the bacon, but I assume it’s good either way. The bread, the egg, the dijon sauce, and arugula are to die for! It’s an absolute must! Coffee. Not bad! The very first time I tried their latte was nothing but a disappointment for me. They don’t have soy milk but they did have almond milk so that’s what I got. I blame the combination of the beans and the almond milk. However, the second and third time I tried their latte, they were not bad. I’m not quite sure what changed, but I don’t mind it! Overall, an excellent place to meet with friends for a chat or a brunch!

The food, coffee, staff, and set up gets an A+. If you love donuts and pastries with your coffee, I highly suggest this place. However, they also have an awesome egg sandwich. You walk-in, get in line, order, and the food comes out to you. Fast service. The only reason I couldn’t give this place a 5(would have done a 4.5 if possible) is that it is consistently packed and very hard to get seating. It’s a popular place, so go with a mindset that you may have to wait for a table if you’d like to stay.

Service was great and the food was even better. I have driven past this place so many times and found out today that is is a hidden treasure. The pastries and coffee you get in line and the ordered food only takes less than 3 minutes to be delivered to your table! Egg sandwich is delicious! I will definitely be back :)

I had one of the best breakfasts/brunches ever here. I went on a Saturday with my friend, Shannon, and it was packed. Luckily, by the time we paid for our order, a table for two cleared up. I was overwhelmed with the array of delectable pastries on display. EVERYTHING is made from scratch. I wanted it all! We each ordered an egg sandwich, a New Orleans iced coffee, and a pastry: I got the donut(with vanilla custard filling), and Shannon got the cinnamon roll(their most popular pastry). The egg sandwich was unbelievably good– the bread was perfectly crusty on the outside but pillowy soft and airy on the inside, which made it neatly compressible. The sandwich was big, the arugula gives it a nice peppery presence, and the egg was delicious, along with the dijon-mayo spread. The donut with vanilla custard was awesome. The cinnamon roll was a generous portion(like everything they offer), not as dense as it looks, and simply the best I’ve had. I’m not usually a fan of icing, but I loved their icing, as it was not too sweet! My only regret is not visiting sooner!

I’ve been here twice now and both times I left happy. I’ve had a glazed donut, pecan roll, egg sandwich, lemon curd pastry, and cinnamon roll. My sister and I split the egg sandwich and each got a pastry, which was the perfect amount of food for me. I also bought a cute mug the second time I went that has their fox logo on it. Next I want to try the hot chocolate! The place is pretty small, but if you don’t mind sitting at a community table or at a higher bar like table, you’ll probably be able to find a seat.

Service with a frown:(The fox can go back in the hole. I will make sure I visit other coffee shops first. I understand being busy and I try to support small businesses. They were swamped the day we came in. We went to help bus a table and when we took the dishes up to the desk, the guys(standing around, mind you) redirected us as to where to put them instead of helping. It just burns me up! I’m not sure if me being new caused me to misunderstand the business model, but rude is rude. Otherwise, parking lot is small and coffee is overpriced and not flavorful at all. I’d say find somewhere else.

Just going to reiterate what everyone else is saying: get the egg sandwich($ 6)!!! It is just as great as what they say. Souffléd eggs are unique; bacon and arugula give it a fatty and spicy kick. Latte art shows that they care about their craft. Wish more places took the time to make a coffee that pretty. Watched the bakers making scones and rolls through the open kitchen — glad they made that visible to patrons.

I really want to LOVE Fox In The Snow, but I really just LIKE it. The first time I went was a Saturday morning. It was very busy, but I expected that so it was not a big deal. I had an almond milk latte and it was good; not anything outstanding, but good. The second time I visited, I ordered a mocha with skim milk. It was the worst mocha I have ever had in my life. I asked the barista if I could switch my drink for an iced coffee. While it was adorable served in a little mason jar, it also was not very good. I was really disappointed because I so desperately want to love this place. I want to try some of their food items, but for now, the beverages receive a less than shining review.

It’s hard to try new cafes and breakfast spots because I am loyal to Fox! I think the most popular item is the breakfast sandwich and for good reason… the egg sandwich is consistently perfection! It’s the most wonderful, marvelous, lovely combination of textures and flavors… from the crusty bread to the fluffy square egg and that mustard-y sauce!!! I dream about this sandwich on the daily. If I’m starving I’ll get my own sandwich, but it’s pretty big so I prefer to share the sandwich and also get a pastry. The go-to for me is the cinnamon roll, I’ve also tried the blueberry hand pie. I haven’t had anything here that I don’t like. As far as drinks go, the lattes are large and always seriously beautiful. The coffee is good and the iced coffee sweetened is my recent favorite. It comes in a mason jar when you stay, which I appreciate over the plastic cups with a straw. I want this iced coffee everyday. The staff is always nice, and I’ve never felt rushed to order even if they’ve had a line to the door. On a particularly super busy Saturday morning that I visited, they had staff refilling water carafes, clearing the dirty dishes tray, and making sure everything was in order. Two quick tips: — Saturday/Sunday mornings here are madness! I’ve been at off-times too, weekday mornings and afternoons are much calmer. –BUSYOUROWNTABLEWHENYOUAREFINISHED!

So, I’ve figured out how to navigate Fox in the Snow, finally. Go here before all the hipsters and yogis wake up/are done with their yoga classes! The gentleman and I went here on New Year’s Day(after an early yoga class, LOL) around 10:15 am. And it was practically empty! We timed it just right; hordes of people started streaming in around 10:45. I finally got to try the breakfast sandwich and oh my! What a good deal($ 6) for such deliciousness. I love that square patty of soft eggy amazingness. And the perfectly toasted bread. And the bite of the arugula and Dijon mustard. Yes, I’m practically writing a love song to this egg sandwich, it’s that tasty. In short, adding another star to my original review because if timed right, this café can be quite the pleasant experience.

I’m conscious of the fact that I may bring the wrath of Unilocal Columbus upon me, but — Fox in the Snow Café scores only three stars with me. I want to love this place so. bad. But, I can’t. The space: Beautiful, bright, clean and with indoor and outdoor space. Quite loud and consciously uncomfortable. I get the no-dally attitude — table turnover is important — but it turns a beautiful space cold. The food: Straight out of a gourmet food magazine. Love the ham and Swiss foldover and the cinnamon roll, the egg sandwich is good — but I’d put anything here up against their competitors(Cravings, Mozart’s) and find equally great offerings. The coffee: The coffee itself is… not good. I want it to be better! This is a local coffee shop! You have awesome baristas! The staff: I’ve been here when the staff are absolutely lovely, warm and friendly, and I’ve been here when I could have been at McDonald’s for the consideration given at the counter. Always hopeful, sometimes satisfied. Overall: Hope springs eternal. I stop in for a to-go sweet when I’m in the area, or when invited. I’d take friends/visitors elsewhere, though.

The coffee here is outstanding! Even if you need to wait for them to hand pour the hot water through the individual filters(this is not a speedy process). Be prepared for a long line of hipsters and baby bjorn bearing mom’s and dad’s alike. But it is worth the wait. The bold coffee flavor is like nothing I’ve had before. There isn’t a large selection of food so I would warn against coming for a hearty breakfast, the options are limited as there are no entrees. It is more or less a bakery but the one breakfast meal option available is the egg sandwich. Even though they only have one hot meal option, they do it well, very well. It is so delicious! Fresh baked chibatta roll with fried egg, greens, and a fantastic hollandaise sauce. My one gripe about this place is they have no internet! No Wi-Fi at a coffee shop, I don’t understand it. I came one day to get a coffee and do some work on my laptop but it turns out I has to get the coffee to go because my internet hopes were dashed!
