Where was THIS Fusian the first time I visited?! Everything was 100% better! The restaurant was CLEAN and bright. The servers were much more attentive and careful with cleanup between making the rolls. I seriously don’t recognize it as the same place we went to last time. My boyfriend didn’t either! We were so impressed this time around. I tried the tuna with the spicy mayo and masago and it was very good. My boyfriend had the chicken with veggies and he said it was much tastier this time around and that the chicken was better-prepared. We also tried their house beverages. The ginger lemonade was good but the citrus mint was even better! I am so glad the owner reached out to me and convinced me to try Fusian a second time. Totally worth it!

Great place to enjoy some basic sushi Chipotle-style where you get to choose everything that goes in/on your roll. The selection of organic fountain drinks is interesting: lavender lemonade and agave gingerade, to name a couple. Can’t wait to go back!

Went for my first time and was impressed with how the over all set up was. From a image standpoint it was a 5 but once I started my order some of the employees seemed maybe new or just didn’t care about there job. There was only one friendly person during my trip through line. Food was a 4.5 love the choices and the ease or creating your own roll but once again no help of explanation from workers just seemed annoyed by you asking questions. So food was by far a 4.5 but service really ruined what could of been a good experience. The trash cans were full and messy but they were slow during my visit so once again goes back to the employees on staff and if they really even care. Overall good food at a good price but need to really value the customers and there employees caring about there brand as I would hope they want to grow as a company.

I’d give 5 stars if it was more affordable. It’s like chipotle but with sushi! I had the tuna on half and shrimp tempura on the other. The shrimp was SO good. I will be going back when I don’t mind splurging. Staff was very helpful and explained the possibilities and concept of the restaurant when we mentioned it was our first visit.

This location is the absolute best! I’m a HUGE fan of Fusian – and who wouldn’t be? Made-to-order sushi? Yes, please! I’ve circulated the various locations and while to food quality is consistent and wonderful, service and dining area are not always so similar. So let’s talk about service and dining experience: The staff is extremely friendly and patient as you figure out your order. WAYTOGOTEAM! The dining area is generally in order and clean. No, I do not want a puddle of soy sauce on my table. Thank you very much! This location also has some outdoor seating. It’s swell on a summer evening. BONUS: A nice addition to the Grandview location is the ease of parking. You pull right on up and your sushi-making process begins!

Fusian is the Chipolte of sushi rolls. Always crowded — they’re killing it. Surprisingly good tasting sushi rolls. Friendly people. Hip environment. I wish the portion of protein was a little more generous, and I sometimes leave a little hungry if I only have 1 roll, but it’s good, fast, inexpensive sushi. Good stuff…

I am not too crazy about sushi but my girlfriend is so we tried Fusian. The employees were very helpful in helping me make my decision and explaining the menu. I got the smoked salmon and crab rolls. I am picky about when it comes to sushi but I liked it. My girlfriend loved it. Its a nice modern environment. I also loved their homemade teas and lemonades. Especially the guava and lavender lemonades.

This is a cool concept and the sushi is good! I had never made it to the campus location, but kind of glad I didn’t, or I would’ve been a more broke indebt to food college student! It isn’t really more expensive than store bought sushi, but I can see me stopping by regularly… I like that they offer brown rice vs white rice and soy wraps vs seaweed. I tried the smoked salmon which has great flavor! And the tuna, which was standard tuna. I went with the sweet soy and spicy mayo. The sweet soy was a little too sweet for me, but the spicy mayo was prrrreeeettttty good! If you’re saucy ask for extra and they give it another drizzle! Everyone in front of me asked for extra and I should’ve caught on, one drizzle wasn’t enough for me!

These things just keep popping up all over the place. I know this has been here awhile, and I’ve passed it, but hadn’t stopped in. Sweetie was out and picked some rolls up for our lunch, so she guessed at what to put in the ones for me. One had salmon, beets, peppers, and spicy mayo, among other things. It had a little heat and a lot of crunch. The salmon actually stood out among all that, and was fresh and enjoyable. The other roll had shredded«crab,» asparagus, roe, and a few other veggies. It was lighter and more spring-like in flavor. I was very hungry, so two rolls was a good size for me. Price and quality are very reasonable. She said service was good(though her order of three rolls brought a surprised look and a glance at her pregnant belly…)

I am usually very picky when it comes to my sushi regarding the ingredients in it. Fusian fixes that problem by providing me with the opportunity to build my own! I love that you have tons of options for protein from steak to raw tuna. But they do skimp on the amount inside your roll! They also have plentiful sauce options(I suggest sweet chili) and the rolls turn out a nice size. Definitely filling!!! If you’re not totally full, they have a few side options. I grabbed a side of cucumber salad. But the sauce seemed to have been forgotten, it was just plain cucumber. Sort-of a bummer. I still love Fusian though and it definitely cures my sushi fix(that I have been having a lot more lately…)

You can only blame yourself if you don’t like the results. You pick the protein and the vegetables.

I love FUSIAN, full stop. I crave their flavors. I want one in Dublin, but Grandview is the next closest one to me. There are lots of reviews about how it works, so I’m just gonna highlight the stuff I especially love: — I actually like their seafood, which is weird because I don’t even like seafood. Their shrimp is especially bomb. Only shrimp I’ve ever liked. — Their signature steak roll is also delish. — However, I usually get the tofu and their tofu is the freaking bomb. Best tofu. — Great toppings: spicy mayo, yakisoba(like a Japanese steak sauce flavor), masago(fish roe, really tasty, worth the extra buck), tempura crunch(SOGOOD) — Their gingerade is the freaking slam. But their drinks in general are SO much better than standard cola selections. Check to see if the teas are sweetened if you don’t do sugar – I once surprised myself expecting plain black tea and got sweetened. but all of their drinks that are sweetened are lightly so. — If you have kids, or even if you don’t, their pb&j roll is surprisingly delicious. It’s definitely not super artisan sushi, but everything is fresh and delicious without the artisan sushi prices. Their flavors are craveable. Just writing this review makes me want to go to FUSIAN for lunch.

It’s your chipotle-style, make-your-own, personalized sushi establishment. As the name would imply, you won’t find traditional sushi rolls here. However, perhaps the rebel in you is just itching to put tempura flakes, teriyaki sauce, spicy mayo AND masago on top of a salmon roll… Fast and personalized sushi.

The moment I learned that there was a Fusian on 5th Ave was the most exciting moment of that week.(I know it sounds like an exaggeration, but usually my most exciting moment of a week is something like not having to change my neighbor’s dog’s incontinence diaper when I go to walk him. Either I don’t get out much or I appreciate small pleasures – take your pick.) Seriously, the fact that this Fusian has its own parking lot and you don’t have to drive through a section of High St. with lights every hundred feet to get there, students crossing between the crosswalks, almost seems to make the sushi taste better. It’s also possible I was just hungry that day. But the accessibility factor will certainly make everything else about going to Fusian more pleasant. When you’re not cranky about having to park at a meter across the street and around the corner just to make it there, you can enjoy your dining or takeout experience in a greater state of relaxation. For my inaugural Fusian Grandview visit, I ordered a brown rice roll in a seaweed wrapper(I don’t recall the University District location having a brown rice option, but I might just not have noticed it) with salmon and crab mix(if you want to order two proteins, they’ll ask if you want half-and-half or double; you’ll be charged accordingly) and carrots and jalapeños. The seasonal veggie was jicama, so I decided to ask for some of that, too. For toppings, I went with sriracha and sweet chili sauces and tempura crunch. I can strongly recommend the combo of salmon and crab mix. The salmon gave the roll that texture sushi lovers look for, while the crab mix was nice and juicy. I couldn’t pick out the jicama flavor in the roll.(Jicama is an interesting choice for a sushi vegetable because it’s normally the consistency of a potato. This seemed closer to carrot, though, so I suspect they lightly steamed it.) When I asked for the sriracha and sweet chili, the employee approved, saying, «Oh those two taste great together.» He was right. The convenient location does not counteract the big negative I mentioned in my review of the original Fusian: that greater creativity in building your rolls is not always rewarded with a tasty roll. And I hesitate to give a fifth star mostly because I have never been too happy with their sides. The miso soup, salads, and edamame are all kind of meh. The best phrase I can use to describe them is «fast foody.» When the sushi is elevated above regular fast food, why can’t the sides be, as well?

Love this place!!! It’s a great Chipotle-style sushi place where you create your own rolls! Most rolls are about $ 7.50, you can pich just about any protein, tuna, salmon, shrimp, crab, tofu… No eel tho :( Then you can fill it with any veggie imaginable and then top with extra crab, tempura etc. and a big selection of sauces.(Spicy mayo, sweet chili…) NOTE: The sweet soy is unagi sauce! :) They also have a few salads to try and edamame! They also make their own drinks! Try the honeydew mint or the ginger lemonade! They staff is friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the crappy splinter-lip chopsticks. But I can use a fork. Oh and all of their plastic-ware is fully compostable! Yay green stuff!

I’m very happy to see this Fusian finally open. It seems like they’ve been working on this building forever, but it was totally worth it with how nice and clean and great the interior looks. I’m not sure if they’ve overhauled all of the Fusians, but the campus one definitely didn’t look like this the last time I was there! Luckily, after the first week, it seems the rush has died down, or at least they don’t have a lot of business at lunch on a Saturday, because the place was empty. Everything’s pretty straight forward if you haven’t been here before, and I noticed they’ve marked now what country the proteins are coming from(or at least just the salmon and tuna). Everything here looks super fresh, and the rolls you get are a decent size. Everything tastes great here, and it’s a nice healthy, filling, and quick meal if you’re in a hurry. My only complaints is that they could do with a few more options of fish, or at least have a spicy version like they used to have(At least I’m pretty sure they did). I guess they weren’t selling well. The price point seems reasonable if you get a lot of toppings on your roll; otherwise, you’ll be paying more for a simple tuna roll here then you would at Akai Hana. Lucky for me, I load it up. Is this my first choice for sushi in town? Probably not. Is it a great place to grab sushi if you’re looking for something quick that’s not a burger or a burrito? Definitely! With all of the fast casual and fast food variations, Fusian sets itself apart with quick sushi, and I’d welcome that any time to Columbus.

I am a big fan of Fusian! Who doesn’t love sushi and getting it quickly? However, I haven’t been there in a really long time because the only one near me was the campus location which is a parking nightmare. So when I found out the 5 Ave location was opening, you can imagine how excited I was :) The store is very very clean, bright, energizing and relaxing. When you walk in there is a line up of delicious teas staring at you. I tried the mint one and the ginger lemonade. Both were really different and good. The sushi bar also looks like they may have added some new things. The seafood and tofu looked the same, but there were more veggies and toppings than I remember. Also, if you want some salad with your sushi I would recommend the Ginger Carrot salad. I don’t know what’s in that dressing other than carrots and ginger, but it is my absolute favorite! Love Fusian, love this location — I’ll be back soon!

First things first, I am averse to eating anything that swims. Sushi is pretty much always off the table for me. That being said, Fusian is a great option for a quick lunch with my sushi-lovin friends. Not only can they get their favorite rolls, but I too can enjoy sushi without feeling like an idiot and making all kinds of special requests. Fusian is the Chipotle of sushi. You can customize your roll from rice to toppings. They have chicken, steak, fishy things, and tofu! Literally something for everybody! I got a straight veggie roll with the sweet soy sauce and chili sauce — delicious! The manager was really helpful and explained the whole process and gave great recommendations. It was a fun experience and I love that I can say«yes!» To sushi when my friends want to go.

Fans of fast and healthy food rejoice! You no longer have to visit campus or trek all the way to Easton to get a hold of Fusian’s choose your own adventure sushi roll. The concept is as familiar as it obvious: They have a variety of sushi fillings from which you can choose, and then you pick any or all of them when you build your roll. Authentic? Not on your life. Tasty? You bet! Having frequently visited the other Columbus locations, the ingredients are uniformly fresh, a characteristic that holds true here as well. This location also offers the same original compliment of beverages. Usually I don’t drink anything other than water while dining out, but Fusian is one of the lone exceptions. These drinks are great and refreshing. The interior design here is in my opinion the best of the local outlets. It’s similar, yes, but seems to have much better natural light. That in turn better sets off its clean and minimalist design. If there is anything that troubles me about the location is that I’ve heard reports of long lines. Not surprised, it is both delicious and new.

I have been patiently waiting all summer for this location to open since I live close by, and the wait is finally over! Unlike the Fusian on OSU campus, there is onsite parking at this location which is a plus. Also, upon entering, all the employees were very friendly and eager to help. For those unfamiliar with what Fusian is, this a create your own sushi roll restaurant. All of the ingredients are right in front of you and your sushi is prepared and personalized to your tastes while you watch. First you choose your wrap – seaweed or soy with white or brown rice. Next, there are a variety of cooked and uncooked proteins to choose from, including tuna, salmon, steak, tofu, and more. Then you add your veggies and seasonal items of choice – right now it is green apple. Finally, you can top off your roll with a variety of sauces like their delicious spicy mayo, sriracha, or add some crunch with sesame seeds or tempura crunch. This is great to grab on the go since it only takes a few minutes to make, or there is also seating available if you want to dine in. For only $ 7 – 8, you get a 10-piece, flavorful and fresh roll made exactly how you want it!
