Best vegetarian restaurant that I have visited in the columbus area. Stopped by for dinner and left satisfied. Their menu is large with a lot of options, mostly South Indian cuisine. The ambience itself is basic but more importantly, the dining area is clean and bright. Our server was attentive and all the food our group ordered lived up to our expectations. Will be back!

The waiter recommended the navratan korma and it did NOT disappoint. Highly recommended!

Fantastic South Indian restaurant. Initially when entering you are thrown off due to the bland décor. However the food and variety on the menu easily makes up for it. Their masala dosa was great and was on par with the best dosa In the city tied with udipi. It does make sense since the management at gokul used to be at udipi. My wife ordered a pau bhagi dosa which I’ve never even heard of and is usually not offered at most South Indian restaurants and it was amazing with perfect spice used in the pau bhagi. What was pretty cool is that there were at least 25 different options for dosas, whereas a normal South Indian restaurant has about 10. Even items that are not traditionally South Indian like the haccha noodles which is more indo-chinese was really tasty. I will definitely be back again to try something different.

We went there when this was still relatively one week old. They did not have the people to manage the crowd. We had to sit idle for about 22 minutes before the waiter came to take our order. We ordered Chili Pakora and Gobi Manchurian as appetizers and both of these dishes came pretty soon at about 3 to 5 minutes. Both of these were very well prepared and tasty to eat. We then ordered the Gokul special meals(Rasam /Tomato soup, 2 Vadas, Any Dosa and Coffee/Tea). The Rasam was average. The Vadas were great but the chutney wasn’t. The sides that accompany create an impact in the taste of the food(the chutney and sambar could have been better). The dosa I ordered was Rawa Dosa. This was tasty but not very crispy. Again an average rating as the chutney and sambar weren’t great. The coffee was good. All in all this was an average experience. They could definitely improve on hospitality. They were very new and I believe they could improve on all the negatives. I will go there again may be after a month. Hopefully they have read this and have tried to improve on the negatives. Update: We came here again to see if they have improved. I must say that they definitely improved on hospitality. They had more people to manage things. We ordered Gobi Manchurian again. This time it was not at all tasty. It seemed like it was done in a hurry. We then ordered dosas. The dosas had a great improvement. It was yummy with the chutney and sambar. 4 on 5 for the dosa. We then ordered poori sabji. I would request people to not go for this one ever. Having said all this we decided to stop on our binge eating. We would rate the overall experience a 3 out of 5. Again lots of scope for improvement, but I would not write an updated review as I would not eat again at this restaurant.

This place is fantastic. Normally a restaurant has slim pickins for vegetarians, but almost every single dish in the buffet tasted fantastic. There is room for improvement — the fluorescent ceiling lights definitely don’t enhance the ambiance. I think with some special lighting and perhaps artwork on the walls the ambiance could be much better. The staff was extremely attentive and everyone seemed to have a smile on their face. I will definitely return many times and recommend this place to anyone, even if they are not vegetarian.

Newest Indian restaurant in the Columbus metro area… Dublin gets its own vegetarian South Indian restaurant now… No need to drive all the way to east of I-71… This is by guys originally part of that other place… Pretty authentic taste… We went for dinner which is a-la-carte, and tried four kinds of dosas and idli and they were all excellent… Upma was not that great but it rarely is, from all the half dozen places I have tried here in the US… Definitely recommended!!!

This is one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve tried in Columbus — and there are so many to choose from! It’s southern Indian food, and I found it delicious but also light enough to feel comfortable after the meal. There was a great variety of options. I was particularly enthused by the coconut chutney, which had a delightfully surprising ginger flavor that I hadn’t tasted at many other similar restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone even remotely into Southern Indian cuisine, and will most definitely return!

This is brand new vegetarian restaurant inspired by South Indian Cuisine. Dosa’s are best in town. Must try! I am not a big fan of lunch buffet, it can be overwhelming sometimes so i always recommend Dine-in!

I visited this restaurant today. I ordered Idli and Paneer 65. Idli is OK. But the coconut chutney is pretty cold and not tasty. Paneer 65 is a dry item. But when I ordered it is just like a paneer curry. When I asked the waiter he replies that it is the default style. I did take Veg Manchurian and Aloo Parata Togo. Manchurian is very hard and not at all soft. Aloo Parata is a disaster. I hope they improve.

The lunch buffet is phenomenal. Everything tastes home cooked and not too heavy like most indian restaurants tend to make dishes. We left feeling very satisfied!
