Don’t be fooled by the sparse atmosphere. The food is great. This is one of the better Indian restaurants in the Columbus area. Try the mangowala paneer and a side of mushroom subzi. The chili chicken is also very good. The food takes a little longer to come out considering we’ve been here 4 times and never have there been more than 3 other tables full. The place is run by a couple of young guys who are brothers. They are very kind and attentive. I’m thinking they don’t do enough advertising, otherwise the place would be busier.

This indian restaurant serves different style of sauces and masala flavor. If you are fed up with regular indian restaurants will butter and creamy sauces, this will be the one for you! Must try it

We went there thinking it would be awesome, trusting the name. The weekend buffet was very very ordinary, in fact it tasted worse than home made food. There were very few options for vegetarians, and that too the ones that were there had only poatoes and tomatoes. And then a dal and a green curry! Dessert had only one option. Well if this is what they r planning to give for an 8 dollar menu, then they have tough competition from the restuarants that provide classy foods nearby. This is good place for a 5 dollar bffet. Not going back ever

I had a great dining experience at the newly-opened Garam Masala on Sawmill(where W.G. Grinders used to be). I’ll definitely come back when I’m craving Indian food. The interior of the restaurant is fairly simple(the tiled floor from Grinders is still in place, but it will be carpeted soon), but I’ve found that these are often the places with the best food! The menu is extensive(and halal– for those with dietary restrictions), with many options I haven’t seen, including the chicken lollipops, which we had as an appetizer. You get four per order, and they are delicious(and popular– it seemed like every other table ordered the same). They are crispy on the outside and taste mostly sweet, with some heat. Definitely try them out! We also had the vegetable pakora as a second appetizer. They were perfectly fried and light on the inside(so that we could truly taste the veggies)! They come with a sweet dip on the side. To choose your meal, they list each sauce/curry for you to choose, and then you get to pick your protein(chicken, lamb, goat, paneer, etc). They have all of the standard Indian dishes you’d find at almost any restaurant, but on the back of the menu they have their«Masala Specialties». They seemed very unique and appetizing, so I had to try one. I ordered the«Mango Wala» with chicken. You can request a spice level(mild, medium, spicy, extra spicy…). I ordered the medium and found it mild, so you might want to go up another level. Regardless, the sauce was awesome– a mixture of mango, coconut, curry, and spices. And the chicken was delicious and super fresh. The portions are generous, and they come with rice. The naan was extra, but still awesome. We were in a big group, and I tried many other dishes, which were equally as good. I’ll definitely be back to try more. The service was great. The entire staff was very friendly, and our glasses were always full. We had to wait a little for our checks to be sorted, but that’s understandable for a group of 10.
