I literally come here all the way from Polaris on Sunday’s to see Richard. He’s an amazing bartender who attends to everyone’s needs. He’s very attentive and is a great asset to the halftime tavern staff.

Halftime took way too much time! This may have been the SLOWEST service I have ever had. Slow to get drinks & extremely slow to get food.

Half Time seems like a campus joint due to its young customer base from the apartments behind. They are rowdy, full of piss and vinegar that I find to be either energy producing or annoying depending on my mood. Usually it is the latter as I have a slight counter-cultural bent and this place is straight Ohioana Homo Habilis. Think Ted McGinley except Half Time hasn’t jumped the shark just yet. Spacy, this place is full of bar games. Billiards of course, darts yeah, but also table hockey, cornhole and others. They may have a beer pong setup if it is legal, though I am not sure, I didn’t see it my latest visit but think I’ve seen it before. Standard dive choices, mix drinks are good. This is a bottles and can kind of place for beer, nothing to write home about. Prices are good. The bar is large and the restrooms clean. Probably a decent place for sports if you get a good angle to a TV. Other than being fodder for one-line gawkers, the staff here does an excellent job and works hard. For me it is best during happy hour before the crowds come later, when everything is easy going and smooth. But I rarely visit. With the sport drenched B-Dubs, the classy Coaches, the Smooth Troll nearby Half Time is probably last on my list of Bethel Center watering holes. It’s many a place for neighborhood regs.

Walked in and it smelled like a restroom BUT they have great drink prices, lots of tvs, free pool, karaōke on Wednesdays and cornhole outside. Atmosphere is nice but a little run down. Casual bar for sure! They serve food but we asked and you can also bring in outside food which is amazing! It’s a great location on bethel rd around a lot of things. Easy to get to. Hot bartender though ha! Look at that ass! *wink wink*

I can’t tell you a damn thing about the place or the service, what I can tell you is I’ve never stared at a woman so hard and didn’t care in my entire life. Beer is cold bartender is a 10. Stop by and treat yourself.

Went there at 430pm on a Saturday. Two people were there. We were told that the cook wouldn’t arrive until 5pm, maybe. We left. Cheap drinks tho. Huge hd tvs all around and plenty of room for seating.

Am appalled at the way employees allowed their tattoo employee neighbor regulars to jump all over new customers. Because they thought they were laughing at them. Like no one could possibly be laughing and having a good time and it not be about a couple of tatted up knuckleheads. You lost some potential regular great tippers. Go to DiMarco’s!!!

Fun with popular dance/rap music on Saturday nights. Great patio with bar. Heated in the winter for the smokers!

DON’T USEYOURCREDITCARDHERE! My husband and I went there Saturday night with a friend for some dinner and drinks. My tab was over $ 100, and I ended up with an extra charge on my card for three business days. The food is good and it’s spacious, so we will return.

There are a few times in life that throws you an automatic orgasm. The food is amazing, but the subs are where it’s at! It’s a combination of the amazing 10 inchers that the chef throws at you and the boobtastic bartenders! Rich is a sultry bartender with a sexy attitude. They are always ready for what ever is given to them. No matter what!!!

No food and poor beer selection. But drinks are cheap and there are some good people here. Staff and owners are great, sometime they bring in food from home for everyone at the bar. Fun place to share a pitcher and watch the game.

Okay, first one of the beer-keepers is a friend of mine. Alaura is a rock-climber, a Taurus with some smattering of Aries(cusp) and baby blues! So Halftime Tavern is «easy on the eyes» and a nice little place to stop off if choosing Bethel to winde my way back to U.A. after work. Halftime has its own thang going. Mostly it hangs its hat on pub-grub and pool playing. This Unilocal’r has been in Halftime near midnight and like any local hangout the populars are just coming out for the evening. Most of the time the place is less than ¼ full. The pub-grub I mentioned is pretty good; done in-house(nothing brought in). The hot sandiwiches are good(ham & cheese); the apps menu is ilmited and pretty standard. B’tenders Alaura and Savannah and Katie will pour your boots full if you drinking liquor so Halftime is any«sumpin’ on the rocks» drinkers paradise. Great pours. Beer selections isn’t all too dynamic given the CBUS scene and all its craft beers, IPAs and such. I haven’t been to Halftime yet in spring/summer but they do have a covered patio area. I’m sure it gets lively out there judging from the effervescent staff. Nice digi-jukebox; good live band area in the back; plenty of seating; two pool tables. Halftime Tavern gets my A-OK rating.

Really like the changes made here! Last time we used to «regular» here it was a bit of a mess. Dirty carpet, dirty scrawled-on bathrooms, and bad tiki-themed décor on the outside patio. A dirty bar didn’t exactly attract a great crowd. Now it looks(and smells) great! They’ve torn out the dirty carpet for a laminate wood, updated the tables & TVs – they’ve even got a couple 3D TVs for Monday Night Football(they’ve got glasses for you to borrow)! Gone is the tiki décor outside. They’ve kept the corn-hole boards, though! Now this is a place I could see myself enjoying again. Well done!

i went to this place and was really impressed, Beer was cold and price just right. I soon learn this place is under new management, so the updated interior and friendly staff was definitely noticed. I really see this place taking off, and will be back soon! One funny characteristic in the place was a pay phone??? Who has those anymore, too bad i didn’t have a quarter to call someone!

An OK place if you’re looking to grab a quick drink. The few times I’ve been here, it’s because Buffalo Wild Wings was too packed(due to a college bowl game, etc). The menu is quite limited, so don’t expect to grab dinner here. Also, it has very few TVs, so unless you’re watching the game du jour, you’re out of luck. They do have a patio, which is nice during the Summer. The clientele seem nice enough, too. Some of my friends love Halftime Tavern, but there’s a distinct lack of beer/food selection and an austere décor, so it’s not for me.

The beer selection here is really bad. Not much on draft beyond the standard meathead bar fare. Now, beyond that, I patronize this bar more than any other. I met my girlfriend there. The shot and drink specials are really good. Tuesday 2.25 long islands. I love the patio too. They remember their regulars. If they had more beers on draft I would give four stars.

And here we have ourselves Half Time Tavern, a stripmall bar that is the essence of what the uneducated onlooker may think life in Columbus is all about. it’s big, it’s dumb, and it’s chock full of gridiron action that’s sure to make even the meekest of sports fans defy their will and pretend to care about dudes in helmets and pads laying waste to each other in the name of all that is American. If that’s not enough for ya, there’s plenty of Metallica, Godsmack, Nickelback, and Seether on the jukebox to get you in the mood to pound well whiskey and high five that bald dude at the end of the counter that’s been rooting for the Bengals a good three hours after their game ended. If you’re in good company and good spirits, this isn’t a terrible place to be, as it’s large enough and cheap enough for you to steer clear or drink your way out of any situation you may find undesirable. Just don’t get stuck her on a Saturday morning in September or October– your impending doom will certainly go unnoticed by the hordes of suburban cubicle jocks that drink beer for breakfast and call Half Time home on gameday.
