Server wasn’t the best and he was being rushed. Mixed up the drink order with another table, then brought out a small pot of coffee which had only enough coffee for two cups. There were three of us. The food was warm and tasty, considering a chain restaurant. I would come back, but as a last resort. This IHOP is one I’d visit while traveling, for that matter, all IHOPs.

My friend and I wanted to get something to eat after she got off work at 11pm, so we picked IHOP. Granted, we’ve eaten here before and the service was always decent, but last night it was phenomenal! We sat down and started talking about what we are thinking of reading and a moment later our server, Darby, came to get our drink order. We ordered our drinks and while waiting on them finished deciding what to eat. Our server came back with the drinks and asked if we were ready to order. So we placed our order and continued to talk while waiting for the food. Some time into talking, my friend was almost finished with her drink and out of the blue, our server had brought a new drink for her, which was awesome. Normally, that’s about when service for me takes a dive and isn’t so great, but not last night. It was amazing! It seemed our food came out quickly and it looked/smelled delicious, which it was! After a couple bites of food the manager, Christina, asked how it tasted at the right moment(not mid bite haha). And we told her it was delicious. By the way, I recommend the banana bread French toast. The whole time there, our server knew exactly how close we were to finishing our drinks and either brought one out just before or right as we finished them. When my friend and I were getting finished eating, our server brought out my last drink and asked(very professionally) how we wanted to handle the check, so we told her how and she said happened to have it ready right then, so she placed it on the table for us and my friend asked for a to go box. Hands down the best service I’ve ever had! Darby was so kind, polite, and professional! The manager, Christina, was awesome. The atmosphere they created there that late at night was just astounding! tl;dr — if you’re ever eating there late at night, ask for Darby, she’s awesome!

The service here is completely atrocious. The last time we came here, in early September, we brought my sister and niece from out of state and waited over an hour for our food at breakfast. Granted the restaurant is busy and gets full, a 15 – 20 minute wait would be acceptable with a full restaurant but no breakfast item takes that long to make. The only reason we finally got it an hour and 10 minutes later was because we said something to the manager at 45 minutes. This morning we went again, about 5 – 10 minutes to wait to be seated which wasn’t bad, but then after we ordered we waited 40 minutes for our food which never showed up for 2 adults and 1 kid, and finally got up and walked out. When we stopped at the front to tell the manager we were leaving and why and offered to pay for our drinks(because that was all we got) all she said was, «we’ll take care of it.» No apologies, no anything else but they would cover our OJ, milk and one coffee. We will not be returning.

Oh where to start. The food that came out was not made correctly. It was supposed to have red smashed potatoes and bacon w a cream sauce. They brought hash browns with my steak and the server tried to say they just didn’t smash them enough. She became angry and unfriendly as did the manager. They said it was a new cook. Didnt offer to fix the problem just asked us to leave. So bad service from management all the way down to servers.

Great, friendly service… even when very busy the wait is usually quick compared to other similar restaurants. Prices are a bit high, but the portions and quality are good. Can’t beat the pancakes!

IHOP will always be a blast from the past for me. My late night trip this time was to use a gift card and see how they stack up to the diner king; Waffle House. Reading reviews for this location had me worried, but I was pleasantly surprised with the speed of service and overall quality of my order. The only question was which syrup is best? Strawberry, Butter Pecan, Blueberry, or Old-Fashioned maple. I think the answer is what we used to call a «suicide.» All the flavors…

Usually packed, so expect a wait. The food is hit and miss. Some is pretty good, others are downright terrible. We’ve been here several times, and I accept that its a busy place, that the service can run to slow. But today was just ridiculous. We only had about a 15 minute wait, which was fine, and our server was very polite as well as fairly timely in getting our orders. The food was the issue. My order was actually alright, the chicken and waffles is fairly hard to mess up. but my wife’s order was a hot mess… She ordered one of the specials, a blueberry ricotta pancake thing. Firstly, the pancakes were underdone and practically mush, and this isn’t the first time their pancakes have been served seriously undercooked. Secondly, the ricotta is advertised to be sweetened. I’m a pastry chef, that was ricotta right out of the tub. Bland and plain, which is just lazy. Her over medium eggs were barely over easy, they were so undercooked, and her hash-browns which were specifically ordered as «Please, cook them crispy, well done throughout» were burned on top and that’s it. RAW all the way through. Does anyone here want to eat raw shredded potato? I know I don’t, but you can never get a well cooked hash-brown, no matter how hard you try unless you go to Waffle House it seems. The server was very nice about our issues with the meal, it wasn’t her fault of course that it wasn’t cooked correctly, so my wife re-ordered, two eggs, scrambled and wheat toast. Easy right? Can’t mess that up, right? WRONG. The eggs were dry and essentially flavorless and the toast wasn’t toast. Seriously, it was bread! They didn’t bother to toast the toast! Oh, and when the manager brought them he was frowning, grumpy and practically dropped them on the table. Not a word of apology for messing up the order, not any bit of care, and that’s just as bad as the rest of it. If you don’t care enough to apologize when your cooks mess up an order, then just let the server bring the food, she was at least friendly! Again, service was fine, but the food? When I go out to eat I expect some form of quality in exchange for the money I spent. This is not it. Not at all. I’m only giving them two stars instead of one because my server was a decent human being. That’s it.

Great food! Got the stuffed French toast with strawberry’s, service could of been a little faster but other than that all the food was great

We’ve gone to this place several times. We do not live in the area, but make a point to hit this place when we are in the area. The atmosphere is pleasant and there’s plenty of space. The servers and hosts have always been pleasant. The food is great if you like this kind of food. I’m from Houston and they have these all over, so it’s a special treat to go here and the food does not disappoint. When you board this ship, sit back, relax, peruse the menu, they get you set up and then give you privacy to enjoy the fare.

Very slow! They took forever to order our food and my pancakes came out raw. How do you undercook a pancake?!

I don’t wanna give them less stars because I didn’t get my order as I want but I like this store better the one that we have it in LA because it looks clean and quite after midnight and because the waiter was nice I would love to come here again in my next visit to this state… thanks

Ordered my egg poached… I didn’t realize that meant a hard yolk. I would have asked them to remake but the server never came around to ask how my food was… until I was finished. The pancakes were good.

I have eaten at this iHop many times and I have never once complained about the food. The customer service at the door is above average but it is a roll of the dice on the quality of the servers at the table. Example: I arrived this morning around 6:50 am and ordered pancakes. Before I finished eating, my server left my bill. She seemed a bit in a hurry but the restaurant was only about ¼ full. Not long after I finished eating, she walked up and asked if she could«cash me out.» I have had this happen when a server at some restaurants are finishing up their ship but this happened after the restaurant had only been open less than two hours. She quickly returned with my credit card and the receipt to be signed and left with a quick and unfriendly«Thank you.» Overall, this iHop location is very good. It has steady flow of customers and can be very busy around prime eating times. My only complaint is the inconsistency in the performance of the servers. I eat out about 15 times a week and I know from experience that iHop’s server training program deals with the issue I observed this morning.

Consistent, good breakfast I’ve been to Ihops in 10 states that I can think of off the top of my head, probably more. They are all good eating experiences, this location is no exception. I usually am there late at night/early morning so it is peaceful(or rowdy if near a club). Either atmosphere doesn’t bother me. Since I like chicken and waffles(and their menu version is not good) I order a regular waffle and the fried chicken platter. I get my sweet/salty fix(kinda pricey that way but oh well). This chain does breakfast right. Even the healthy choice fruit crêpe is delicious.

I wasn’t going to review IHop, but I had a decent breakfast and some pretty good service, so I figured what the hell… Watching IHop commercials you get the feeling there’s nothing healthy in the joint. On my latest weekend getaway to Columbus I was forced to switch hotels because of the NCAA tournament in Dayton and my normal Super 8(Wyndham rewards are awesome) was booked up. My normal hotel has a Waffle House next door and it’s my normal breakfast spot, but this time I settled for Ihop. I was pleasantly surprised that they had whole wheat pancakes, oatmeal pancakes and other heart healthy options, including turkey bacon. I ordered two whole wheat pancakes that were served butter free, topped with fresh blueberries and powdered sugar, scrambled egg whites and I substituted fruit for the turkey bacon. I was very surprised the fresh fruit was completely fresh, no canned anything, fresh pineapple, orange sections, grapes and apples. The pancakes were a manageable size, not hanging off both sides of the plate. My complaint is that the pancakes are about the size of the platter they are served on, so not much room for syrup run off. Lets talk about the syrup for a second, you get four flavors on the table, regular, butter pecan, strawberry and blueberry. I had the strawberry and enjoyed it with the whole wheat pancakes. The eggs were basically scrambled egg whites, nothing special, just a bit of protein to round out the meal. All in all, IHop cannot replace Waffle House in my book, but it wasn’t a bad meal at all.

I Like IHOP but they do have some oddities. The food and variety of breakfast grub is large and tasty. Service is always a complaint here; although this last time my service was quick, I know that other times it isn’t too quick. My wife said that the last time she was there that it was horrendous. They are busy which might be one reason for inconsistent service. The food was very tasty as I ordered something with potatoes, sausage, cheese, gravy, and two eggs. Everything come with the ubiquitous short stack. The meal was tasty and an order again for $ 7. The coffee on the other hand was not worth the 1.89. I will stay with water instead of brown water. My wife’s meal was a little dried out so she wasn’t as pleased as I was. So expect good pancakes, decent food with spotty service.

I was so excited to hear that an IHop was opening in Hilliard. But I was disappointed fast by the lackluster food and service. Every time I’ve come here, it has been later after a night out. So maybe that’s my problem. But if you’re going to have a 24⁄7 restaurant, I’m sorry, but I expect good service even late. Anyway, each time I’ve come here, the food is good, but not great. I remember IHop being so amazing when I was younger. And the service was always a lot better. I’ll go back maybe a few times if I’m craving some sweet breakfast items, but definitely won’t make it a regular place.

Decided to get out and about to try this new IHOP out in Hilliard for my Bday brunch. Got there about 1:30p and had to wait about 10 mins cus this place was buzzin! Plenty of waitstaff on the floor turning over tables from the time I arrived till the time I left with people still having to wait to score a table. OK, this is a new location, the second to open in the Cowlumbus area after the Picktown IHOP and somewhat closer to me but some folks were in almost religious reverance to be able have a IHOP in town. I was looking for one of my favs their crepes and decided to make a «international» breakfast with eggs, bacon and snausage links. The crepes with lingonberries and lingonberry butter were the awesome. Everything else was warmish and looked and tasted like they came out of a steam table instead of the grill. My «scrambled» eggs were a disc of egg chopped up and served on a oversized plate with the crepes on a seperate small plate. Even with all the waitstaff I still went long periods without drink refills or check-ins. Good thing it was my bday or the tip would have been much less. Overall my trip to this location fits the«Meh» catagory. Had much better up in the Toledo area IHOPs so I hope they get their act together before my next International Pankake trip. BTW Feb 28th is Free Pankake Day at IHOP!

I wasn’t a fan of the IHOP on the East Side, so we tried this one. It’s certainly quieter. But We waited probably close to 30 minutes for food. The onions on my salad were brown. My fries were soggy & I’m relatively certain my sandwich sat on a counter for 20 minutes before it was brought out. The BF said his breakfast type food was ok except for the bacon which I could have cut glass with. I expected IHOP to blow Wafflehouse out of the water. IHOP appears to be a little more«upscale» and have a bigger menu. But I think Wafflehouse’s food is fresher!
