This restaurant, although having a small menu, packs a punch with their authentic and flavorful dishes. Their dips are mouth watering, and their kababs are generous with a beautiful portion of rice. They also have one of the best desserts I have ever tasted in my life, their creamy roulette cake! Their falafel wrap is also excellent, huge and a great value. The kabab platters are a bit more expensive but well worth it, as all of the plates are large and you surely will defend your plate from you date. Trust me, you will not be disappointed with this food, as it is a hot spot for native Middle Easterners. This is top 3 for Middle Eastern food in the Columbus and Dublin, OH area in my book. People often drive here even from Cleveland.

This place is amazing. I can’t explain how amazing it is. If you like meaty, juicy kebabs and dreamy, fluffy rice this place is the jackpot. I am Persian and had seriously high expectations because my mums kebabs are obviously the best in the world, but I have to say these were on par and far exceeded my expectations. Took a friend who also fell in love with the food. I will be back. Many times. Thanks for making my night.

Still 4⁄5 stars. Called in a ToGo order for the first time, pretty painless. Decided to try one of their sandwiches, not many reviews about the Kubideh Sandwiches. Got the Lamb Kubideh Sandwich, had shredded lettuce, fresh thick cut tomatoes & their Jeddo sauce. It was really good. I also ordered a side of their saffron rice instead of fries, but somehow I forgot that at the restaurant, pretty sad about that since Ive been craving their rice. Probably a good thing though since the sandwich filled me up. Next time, think I’ll order the Chicken Barg sandwich, but make sure I have my rice before I leave…

If you crave Persian food from a previous experience, then Jeddo is the place to go for whatever Persian food your heart or stomach desires. From the Kubideh to the hummus and babaganoush, they are all very authentic and well made. The complementary tea is a very nice and caring touch plus you can be specific about the doneness of the meat if you so desire. I especially love the shrimp kabob and my go to dish is always the chinjeh with rice and a side of hummus and falafel. It’s a nice relaxed atmosphere and very family oriented. Do try the baklava for dessert.

Pros: Food is very well prepared and is made with quality ingredients. Service is attentive but not overbearing. Menu is easy to understand even if you don’t order this style of food often, which is nice. Cons: Location, Décor(really strange mix of nice things with random odd stuff mixed in), not wowed by flavor, overpriced. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience and the food was good. No one was wowed by their meal though, and after paying $ 14-$ 20 per person for lunch, I wish we had been.

This was my first Persian experience. The food is very clean with no oil spreading across the plate. I wish I would have ordered the beef kabob and regular chicken. The dill rice was delicious. I really enjoyed this place. I just wish the food wasn’t so expensive.

After moving back to the area, an oft repeated mantra when I passed Jeddo Kabab’s new location was«I really need to stop in there.» I’d been to the old location on Cleveland Ave several times, and always enjoyed it, so a bigger location could only mean better, right? Well…maybe. The menu is slightly expanded, but still highlights several aspects of Persian cuisine. I decided to try the Mast-o-mooseer instead of their hummus as an app, and it was amazing — the tart yogurt and chopped up shallots work really well together, and it was great on some of the provided pita(and a bit on my wrap, and the fries…) I went for one of the lamb kubideh wraps, and the lamb was just as moist and flavorful as I remembered, but the veggie toppings weren’t as fresh as I recalled. These seemed like the last of a batch, really. And for an added disappointment, I’d asked if I could get some of the grilled tomato added(and was willing to pay the upcharge!), but didn’t get any. Boo. The fries were… hot? And fries? And that’s really about it. Next time I would suggest skipping them and just sticking to a dip and pita bread or salad. My biggest disappointment, though, was service. I came in at an off time a little after the lunch rush, and didn’t expect insanely fast service, but when you’re the only person in the place it’d be nice to see the server at least ask how things were going — and when I accidentally knocked over my glass as I was stacking up my plates, the server made eye contact, looked at the spill… and walked away? I did my best to mop up with my napkins, but that was just kind of weird. At the old location, the staff were basically right on top of you because of the small size, but they were also friendly, checked in, answered questions, and really seemed like they wanted you to have a good experience. I wish it still felt that way. Will I go back? Probably. They’re convenient to my new neighborhood and the food was still pretty good. But I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to bring people there the way I did back in the day.

Fantastic food with great service! We eat there at least a couple of times per month. I can honestly say that, I have never had a less than great meal. Food is prepared fresh so, give yourself a little extra time… well worth it!

Service was a little slow but the food well made up for it. I had the chicken barg with half rice and half salad and my friend had the ground lamb and ground beef kabobs with half rice and half salad. The meat was cooked perfectly and the spices were fresh and flavorful. I can’t remember the last time when I have enjoyed a plate of food this much!

Love at first bite. Went there three times, and quality of food was consistent. Also, they have cardamom tea that is to die for. I wish I would live closer to their location so I can go more often. Their rice is outstandingly prepared and their kebabs make you salivate just looking at it. Very good place to eat.

Jeddo Kebab has a sign out front: Best Persian Food in Ohio. I’m willing to bet they’re right, or darn close to. Jeddo was once near 270 and Cleveland, but moved their digs to 161. The restaurant is big, clean and bright. The tables are numbered, and they’ll seat you on the way in. When you’re ready to pay, you’ll give your table number to the cashier and they’ll ring up your meal. Like many Middle East restaurants, they do not serve alcohol, but there is hot Persian tea available(the urns are near the front) and it is spicy and delicious. I ordered their savory yogurt drink — dooghe — and it was well balanced between sour and salty. If you like that sort of thing(I do). We ordered the shirazi salad as an appetizer — a mix of cucumbers, onions, peppers, tomatoes, dressed in a light vinegary sauce — and liked it a lot. Jeddo’s kebabs are a Persian style, they either use a mix of pressed meat and spices or ground meat and spices — no skewers needed and no veggies — they’ll bring those as a side by request. The kebabs are 10−12″ long, well-spiced and delicious. The spouse ordered a roasted half-chicken with sauce and rice, which tasted great all together. They do have homemade desserts — we took home a rolle(a cream-roll that was light and sugary but not overly sweet). Highly recommend getting that take-home dessert. About halfway through our meal, we were saying, «why haven’t we been here before?!» This place is a great mix of what we like in Middle Eastern food — fresh, well-spiced, balanced, and varied.

We drove all the way from Cleveland to Columbus to satisfy our persian kabab craving and it was totally worth it! We ordered mix barg and really enjoyed it, the kabab was juicy and tender and the rice was perfectly cooked, they also brought us some complementary tahdig which was crunchy and yummmm. You can also help yourself to the free hot tea they offer which other restaurants will charge you for it. For appetizer we ordered halim bademjoon, really delicious! Not too salty, not too greasy and still not tasteless! The bottom line: fantastic! Finally got my cravings satisfied

Good service, nice atmosphere, AWESOMEFOOD! Our server kind of had this blank look on her face the whole time, but hey, we all have our days. She served us quickly and checked on us often, so the service was good in my book. We were one of only two tables in the whole restaurant that night. The music was fitting and the place was clean and nicely decorated. OMG the food! If I lived any closer I would be getting take out once a week! We had the tomato and cucumber salad, the lentil soup and a kebab platter. Everything was delish! Also, they have self serve hot tea and it is soooo good! We will definitely be back!

The cuisine is ok, but do not expect anything exciting flavor wise. Service is ok and the staff are friendly. The staff however, were socializing with their friends/family most of the time and should have been more focused on customer service. All in all, it was ok but I probably won’t be coming back anytime soon.

Nice place. Came here at 11am sharp according to the hours posted on Unilocal, but the sign on the door says they open at 11:30am. Regardless, the saw me pull up and generously unlocked the door for me. Took my order as soon as I walked in. Got the double koobideh + 1 extra skewer for a friend and the total came out to be $ 16. Not too shabby, but it’s a bit overpriced compared to what I’m used to. But as the only Persian restaurant in Ohio, what can you do? The place is nicely renovated, but more improvement can be made, for sure. For example, I’m getting too much of a cabin-esque feeling. Instead, i think they should push towards a more modern/elegant sort of atmosphere since Persian cuisine is just that. If these improvements are made, the prices will be more justified. They also have a bar-like counter where I waited for my to-go order. Food was amazing! Came out in 5 – 8 min I was surprised at how fast it got done since they just opened up the shop. Owner was a great and personable man and will love you if you are Iranian/Persian. Kind enough to give me a chayi for my long journey back to Cleveland. Will come back one day in the future to meet this man again :)

Jeddos has a nice relaxed family vibe the minute you walk in. There’s plenty of parking spots available outside but it is easy to miss this restaurant if you drive by too fast. There’s a lot of interesting artwork all around adds more to the experience. As for the employees, they are great people. Very eager to help explain or give recommendations about the meals. The food is pretty much the traditional meditarrenean options. They have the home cooked feeling though that’s rare to come by. I ordered the lamb kebabs. The meat was cooked well, the flavoring can be a little bland depending on what level of spice you ask for. I suggest you ask for it to be spicy or it won’t be as flavorful. Overall, it was a nice place to stop in and eat.

New location, same Jeddo Kabab food. Their new location is spacious and open. However for me, it’s lost some of that hole-in-the-wall appeal. There was something strangely gratifying about close-quarter dining and ordering from the counter. The ambiance is now a little classier. I also believe they have adjusted their menu prices for their new location. I remember paying $ 10.99 for the Jeddo Prince, which is now $ 12.99. Maybe my palate has changed since first dining at Jeddo Kabab, but I found the dish to be a little bland as compared to before. Maybe it’s the fact that I added butter in the past, but I felt the dish could use a little more flavor. This could have been achieved in the form of seasoning or with a side sauce. In the past, it was served with a side salad, which added a sour vinegar component to the dish. However this time around, it was accompanied with a grilled tomato. Equally healthy, but not very exciting and definitely not as tasty. Anyways, Jeddo Kabab is still worth checking out. Unfortunately the slightly inflated prices, stuffier environment and my bland take-out experience has made me scale down my rating.
